Congressman Darrell Issa has introduced House Resolution 1211, a measure that would formally expunge BOTH of President Trump's impeachments, treating the Articles as if they never passed the House at all.

And this time, the case is stronger than ever.

"The fact is that the Constitution doesn't spell out what to do when you've wrongfully indicted somebody. An impeachment is basically an indictment and it's an indictment that you can't really be acquitted from. If you are impeached by the House, famously where do you go to get your reputation back, is the question," Issa said.

Director of National Intelligence Tulsi Gabbard recently declassified documents she says reveal a coordinated effort inside the intelligence community to manufacture the conspiracy used to impeach President Trump in 2019. The anonymous whistleblower had no firsthand knowledge. Other biased officials helped shape the complaint. House investigators denied President Trump the chance to confront his accusers.

The 2021 impeachment was just as flawed, rammed through in only two days with no fact witnesses and no real investigation.

Here is how the process works. The Constitution gives the House the sole power of impeachment, which means the House controls its own records. No Senate vote. No presidential signature. The resolution goes to the Judiciary Committee, where Chairman Jim Jordan has already signed on. From there it heads to the floor, where it passes with a simple majority.

Issa already has more than 20 Republican cosponsors backing the measure.

Alexander Hamilton warned in Federalist 65 that impeachment would be abused as a partisan weapon. He was right.

Jim Colbert, an eight-time PGA Tour winner and former two-time Player of the Year on PGA Tour Champions, died on May 10. He was 85.

Colbert attended Kansas State on a football scholarship but turned his attention to the links after an injury on the gridiron. He was the runner-up at the 1964 NCAA Championship.

Colbert turned pro in 1965, joined the Tour one year later and claimed his first victory at the 1969 Monsanto Open. He won two of his eight titles in 1983, finishing a career-best 15th on the money list.

Colbert was a member of the Tour policy board during a critical time in 1983, and famously sounded a warning to then-Commissioner Deane Beman that some of the leading players in the game, including Jack Nicklaus and Arnold Palmer, were attempting a coup. Thanks to Colbert's efforts, Beman survived and his contract was re-upped a year later and spent more than another decade in office turning the Tour into a financial success.

House Speaker Mike Johnson used his authority as the leader of the chamber to restrict Congresswoman Maxine Waters' vote "until such a time as the gentlewoman from California makes an appearance in this chamber."
Waters hasn't been in the building for months, according to Johnson, yet she manages to cast a vote for every bill that comes to the floor.
"She's obviously not casting it, so her voting card is restricted."
Waters hasn't responded to anyone's request for comment.

JUST IN: Virginia Democrats are discussing a bold strategy to reverse the state Supreme Court’s recent ruling that struck down their favored congressional map.

The idea involves the Democrat-controlled legislature lowering the mandatory retirement age for justices from 73 to 54 (or lower). This would force all current justices off the court. The legislature could then appoint a new set of justices, who would presumably reinstate the map heavily favoring Democrats (around 10D-1R).
