Red, how does one find the LSE MATD board? And is it active? Thanks!
Edit: Nevermind, figured it out!
I also emailed Gefco and I can confirm what gbd has said. Here is the response I received...

In Bomu they found gas in 8 of 13 sands. Are we to believe that all 8 of those sands were in the shallow range where biogenic gas can form? Surely some of them should have been too deep for biogenic gas.
My wife is a bank officer so I asked her if it was plausible that ERHC had trouble finding banks that would take their money. She said yes, especially because of the FCPA investigation by the subcommittee of Homeland Security. As if the DOJ and SEC wasn't enough. A concern being that the money could be frozen or seized as a result of an investigation, among other things.
Some thoughts on today...
We went down mostly on confusion about the AIM and expectation of no news until September. But I think we will be fine and I put my money where my mouth is, adding 5,000 shares at .29. Not much maybe but to me it is. Oh well, perhaps bravery will be rewarded here.
Best wishes to all and thanks for the many reports from the shm.
One of the best reasons to participate in the RO is to ensure your place in line for the unsubscribed shares. Those will be offered after the current RO and up to about May 12th. If most of us don't exercise now then there will be a huge number of shares available for those who do, and if the share price goes up big between now and mid-May then those shareholders who exercised their options now will be very happy indeed.
I’m starting to wonder if the recent arrival of Total in the JDZ picture may have caused a major rethinking/reanalyzing of a lot of things, resulting in an appearance, at least to us, of confusion and delay. I think this will all shake out fairly quickly once Total gets in, and I think a good, clear picture will emerge of the way going forward for the JDZ.

I get sick for a week and look what happens.
Bay, it will stop going down when people stop believing it will go down.

Kind of a shame that ERHE happened to have a CC scheduled for the day after Prazeres spilled the beans. Whereas Addopec apparently couldn't swear the head of the STP Petroleum Agency to secrecy, ERHE still is. Regardless, the word is out, and with the birddogs we have here I suspect we will be hearing many more tidbits between now and the expected January announcement.
Wow, I was just figuring out how many shares I needed to sell to get my $3,000 tax loss for 2009 and then BOOM all my shares went black again. Wouldn't that be something to get "the announcement" on 12/30/09? Who would want to sell and book 2009 profits?
I do feel sorry for anyone who just got caught in a 30 day tax loss sell/buy, but for the trading and flipping camp followers I have no sympathy.
Fish, you sly dog.
Sorry, I don't get it. Chude was CEO before the one that was before Brandhuber. 2003, I think. I just thought it interesting that he is back.
Interesting that our former CEO, Chude Mba, has returned to ERHC as a consultant. He wasn't an oil man. His area of expertise would be more on the deal making side.
Doc, honestly, I don't think the SEC cares if EEGC has a lease or not. If I want to start a corporation and issue shares of stock to raise money to drill for oil in your backyard I don't think the SEC would stop me. You might, but not them. Heaven help us if the SEC ever has the power to decide the worthiness of an investment. So I'm not worried about the RO. Yesterday I even took a shot at trying to find an example where the SEC rejected a RO, but did not find one. Doesn't mean it can't happen though. One last thing, I suspect that the long delay in getting the RO done has more to do with EEGC than the SEC.
Thanks Mark, I've been thinking we would get some news in the early November timeframe because the DP will be going back to Kina at about that time and they will need to have made a decision as to exactly where to drill Kina 2 by then. When they changed the plan for block 4 from drilling Kina South to drilling 2 more at Kina they basically gave themselves the 4 to 6 weeks of the Lemba drill to analyze the Kina results and come up with their next drill site. I'm guessing the team at Addax/Sinopec has been burning the midnight oil the last few weeks to finish up their Kina analysis and come up with the plan for Kina 2, with a deadline of early November. Depending on how much they want to tell us, we may find out a whole lot more about Kina very soon.
Show us the math, dude, you able to put real numbers to those claims? Hmmmm?
True, Doc, but I'm not sure it's the responsibility of the SEC to determine the worthiness of EEGC. That's what free markets are for. As a shareholder, all I can tell you is that I would, if it meant that EEGC would drill Bellevue, fully subscribe to give the company .07/share for my portion of the rights, as I believe that a turning drillbit would put us at .50. Of course, I would like to see some guarantee that the RO money would actually be used to drill Bellevue.
Digitech and Katelynn, I've given up all hope of ever understanding this one. All I know is that several years ago Newmarket was IPVO and it seemed to have a clear purpose. Then one day it bacame Newmarket and ever since then it's been one long slow downward spiral. I'm just glad I got out before the RS with a bearable loss. I have completely lost confidence in management and do not expect to ever own it again. Anyone researching this stock should be very careful to research the complete history, and if they can then say with confidence that they fully understand it, well then more power to 'em, they are smarter than me.
I don't know, clipso, probably shouldn't take anywhere near that long for the RO. Should be nearly a rubber stamp process for approval of a RO in a case like this. Seems hard to find a case where the SEC shot down a RO as long as the company had its paperwork in order. But perhaps our resident shorts could come up with one.
Just checking in for the Drilling Day roll call. I've been waiting 6 years for this. Read every post here since #1, and many of you before that on RB. Y'all seem like family. Or maybe in-laws. We're at the moment of truth, so no surprise if the SP movements get weird.
Let's drill!
paul_gmcs
Wow, this is almost getting to the point where I can tell my wife about it. Six long years of waiting is almost over.
So you're a 1099 contractor?
Hi, I need some help. I fell behind in my Microsoft updates on my PC at home and now it has a virus, or something. At first it would reboot for no reason, now it mostly just locks up when I turn it on. Even If it does boot up okay it still won’t let me connect to the internet. Is there anything I can do about it? This is the first time I’ve ever had a virus. Do I buy software to clear it up, reload Windows, replace the hard drive, replace the whole thing? Anyone?
Thanks in advance,
paul_gmcs
Dr. J,
I'm not at all worried about the SP, I don't have to sell tomorrow. But I feel for those who do.
paul_gmcs
dbernet,
Redinvest saw it coming a long time ago when he created TheElephantFields. It may become our last refuge.
Thanks Spec, for the reply to King, I just didn't feel like bothering. I took my turn defending the truth. Unfortunately I'm starting to think there aren't enough of us to keep defending it day after day. Although I have to hand it to tryoty.
Back to lurk mode.

My notes on the CC this morning…
The JDZ part starts at about 56 minutes after the opening remarks and lasts for about 5 minutes with JS speaking. You can pretty much ignore the rest of it. Whole thing was 97 minutes and there were no questions pertaining to the JDZ at the end. One funny moment was when JS said “Please don’t ask about the rigs”. I would imagine they have had enough of those. The only thing said about the ROO was that they were in “advanced negotiations”. The AA passed all sea trials, all were successful. It is back at the shipyard now for, I think he said analysis of the results, something like that, and that the sail away date was “October”. Repeated the 4+4 followed by 5+5 to Addax drilling schedule for the AA, with Addax getting the AA in 2H 2009. If they get a ROO they will drill Kina in 1H 2009. The Tome structure is being renamed, will no longer be called Tome. They are sure there is oil in the JDZ structures because of Obo 1. That’s pretty much it.
paul_gmcs
Listened to the CC, only ROO comment was "advanced negotiations". I'll get my notes and thougts together and post again later this morning.
paul_gmcs
Thanks Coachum,
I was wondering if that was a paint job. We don't seem to have many oil people here. Has anyone figured out what EEGC is worth if they end up proving 100 million barrels? I'm more familiar with deep offshore than onshore.
paul_gmcs
Degen,
I think I'll give it a try, if my alarm clock works, and I actually get up (that's 4:00 a.m. for me), and the number and code actually works. Not sure if I'll be able to post before market opens, though, because at 6:00 I have to stop and get ready for work. If I do listen in I'll try to post either at 6:30 or at 9:00 when I get to my desk. Can't post while listening, only one dial-up line here. Either way, ROO or not, I won't be buying or selling tomorrow, I just want to hear the excitement live, if it happens. Best wishes to all honorable longs tomorrow, and the rest of you... just be quiet and buy, like we did, please.
paul_gmcs
I am a bug, and ERHE is my light.
They are saying it has more to do with the $700 billion bailout plan and the weak dollar, but who knows. Anyway, whatever EEGC finds under Tasmania just got more valuable.
paul_gmcs
Thanks for the link to the pics. Awesome to see all that snow. You guys have your seasons all upside down, down there.
paul_gmcs
OT Red, I understand what you mean about Malcolm. I’ll post over in the EF. I have to tell you my EEGC story.
paul_gmcs
I am a bug, and ERHE is my light.
Anyone with pictures, could you post them here? I hope they will prove to be historic.
Thanks,
Paul_gmcs
I still think we see drilling in the 4th qtr, but I've always been an ERHE optimist.
paul_gmcs
I am a bug, and ERHE is my light.
OT Red, don't look now but one of your old picks is getting ready to drill in Tasmania.
paul_gmcs
So, the AA has about 17 more days of sea trials, and then 35 days to get to the GoG, and that gets us up to about the middle of October, and then in December it is drilling off Ghana. So, where is it going to be between the middle of October and December? Funny how it would have to just about sail right through the JDZ to get to Ghana.
paul_gmcs
Krom, you have more than once mentioned that one of your concerns about ERHC is that Offor may have gotten the rights for ERHC by bribery, or some other illegal act. Well, Offor got the rights by buying ERHC, which already had them long before Offor came along, having earned them for much earlier work done on behalf of STP. And as far as the security of the rights, they are literally defined in, and protected by, a treaty between two sovereign nations.
paul_gmcs
Well guys, I'm the one that bought the 6600 shares today at .2315, or at
least I was for a few seconds. I had put in an order to buy 6600 at a
limit of .318 just before noon eastern. Later I get a message from
etrade that I bought 6600 at .2315, then another message saying it was
an error, then another message saying I bought the 6600 at .315. So,
seller of the 6600, if you are out there, you should have gotten at
least .315 for your shares. Though I'm not sure how I got them for .315
when my limit order was for .318.
paul_gmcs
Don't worry, guys, I know exactly what to do to make our SP move up, and I'm going to do it this week. All I have to do is attempt to flip the 6300 shares in my etrade account. I'll pay the sell/buy commissions, satisfy the terms to avoid the quarterly account fee, and then buy them back at 1 penny less in order to end up with 6400 shares. Now, the last time I attempted this feat was more than a year ago, the day before they announced the hiring of WB, and I got clobbered. Therefore, if there is anything good that could possibly happen to this stock this week I will certainly flush it out. Watch for the 6300 share sell, it will be the signal for the next big move up.
All in good humour, given the circumstances.
paul_gmcs
Doug C, more than three years owning ERHC/ERHE, mostly lurking since early 2003. Came to ERHC thanks to Platina, Crazy (IAD), and someone posting as pats37wizard, all on the old PGO board.
I distinctly remember buying my first ERHC stock in July 2003, thinking I should beat the rush before the October 2003 licensing round. Oh well!
paul_gmcs
Guys, I just finished reading the first 300 or so Meridian posts on this board. A few things stand out. He almost certainly was very close to the action at the PSC signings. He did hear of a massive CVX find in block 1 straddling into block 2. In one post he mentions that Addax has a rig slot for block 4 for late 2006.
