Commented yesterday about Missling stock acquisition being part of delayed compensation which was earned over years of efforts to resurrect a company on the brink of extinction only to get push back that the shares were ”free”.
Instead of cashing in to insure some value, he lets it ride. But you tell us he has nothing at stake. If that’s your idea of healthy debate ….
I have money at stake here that is potentially life changing. Free money, but it’s mine now. To pretend it won’t put a hole in my ass if it goes to zero is nonsense.
Nothing going to happen here for months? Good time to be debating the science and merits of those other holdings. But something tells me you’ll be here 24/7 over the next six months saying nothing to see here.
Will you prove me wrong?
Good and unsurprising obfuscation of the base question. Hard to fully explain your concentrated efforts here and only here.
The people that post here can, and will come to their own conclusions.
Just curious as to whether you are on the same “educate the poster” crusade with all the other holdings in a well balanced, high risk, baby biotech only portfolio. If not, why not? As long as we are educating the message board posters, let’s fully educate them.
Is their something so unique about Anavex, it’s management, it’s science, or it’s array of uneducated posters that makes it so compelling?
I imagine it would be a tall task to cover the breadth of your portfolio with a 24/7 effort. If you are offering your free of charge investment advice on NNOX, CBAY, or CLPT please let me know where to look.
And thanks in advance.
Good thing you didn’t step in it!
There are a great number of posters here in what can only be deemed as a sense of desperation and angst over their financial situations and Anavex holdings. 25k insightfully meaningful posts by you and still such despair. Perhaps it’s a reading comprehension thing. But the next 25K posts will likely cement their understanding of Anavex prospects and good investing.
I remain confidently hopeful and still strongly support your “WGT, it’s just a matter of time” mentality.
Really Raj?
The guy takes the position at the height of his working career and gets a pretty modest salary by NYC standards and the bulk of his “potential”compensation contingent upon him stabilizing the company and navigating toward drug approvals where the odds were heavily against him. Now after years of leading the effort some of those incentives start to bear fruit.
Does the guy take it in the form of the money that he rightfully earned? No, he decides to wait to see what’s behind door # 3 with the full understanding that he can turn it all into dust.
Nice try, but you are shoveling a lot of dung.
Are you implying that it wasn’t all or nothing on the sale of the remaining shares, beyond what was needed to satisfy the tax liability?
And that all those shares did not have to be sold on the last possible day to avoid “destroying” the company?
Seems some would have you believe that it was all or nothing and that Missling could not have just held on to 50,000, 100,000 or 150,000 shares.
Trip down memory lane:
“Sold all exercised shares, wonderful level of confidence displayed by the CEO of Anavex.
At least today's cabal has been identified.”
Sure, it was corrected later. The point is you couldn’t resist attacking. You knew it then and still posted it. Or perhaps it was just “confirmation bias”. I assume you are familiar with that.
Monty Hall: Jay, tell Chris what he has won for his many years of impeccable service to Anavex. Life Sciences.
Jay: Chris, you’ve won the equivalent of this big pile of cash.
Chris: Holly shit!! That’s a lot of money. Cost of living is off the charts in NYC. That could help get me in a nicer/safer place.
Monty: Well Chris, Let’s make a deal!
You can keep that big pile of cash, or you you can exchange it for what’s behind door #1. Could be a goat; could be a Northrop & Johnson Super Yacht; could be a Wonka ticket!
Chris: Wow Monty!
Monty: Clocks ticking Chris! What’s your decision?
Chris: I’ll take what’s behind door #1.
Monty: Wow Chris!! Look at you with the balls of steel!
Visited the Tutankhamun exhibit a couple of weeks ago. There is a striking similarity between interpreting the various markings on all of the artifacts and reading your posts.
After about 2 hours it started to feel like work.
He likely doesn’t see your posts.
George, let me tell you where you can stick your thumbs up. You alone nearly make this board unreadable.
And that’s a fact.
Frrol, that me be a very small percentage in my opinion. To think that someone has virtually no stake in the game and would hang here do to boredom and comradely is a stretch considering all available options.
An anonymous message board inherently presents a conundrum for anyone trying to garner meaningful and trustworthy information from what is posted. Anywhere that there is money at stake there will be those that are trying to manipulate sentiment one direction or another to their financial advantage. And some will switch jerseys depending upon what side of a given trade they happen to sit at the moment. Determining who are long term investors and whom are simply swing or day traders is virtually impossible. In addition to that, make no mistake that there are people being paid to post and others that hold short positions. When people tell you they are here for the entertainment value, you are being fed nonsense.
Occasionally people will make statements that are counter to a sustained presence here. Pay close attention.
Have never made a WGT claim.
If I had an available “Ignore”, would not be seeing your posts.
What I haven’t heard from you is a credible explanation of your sustained presence here. You have flat out told us you have only a negligible holding in Anavex in your massive portfolio.
One couldn’t find a hint of a positive statement about the company nor its prospects in your massive postings with a search warrant.
As a self appointed Funpostchecker reviewing posts from people that claim they are here for the pure entertainment value, I am issuing a fraud alert.
Thin time plow try did they fact trivial happenstance.
Yes, exactly! Here you are!
A minuscule portion of your massive portfolio invested here, but the entertainment value is so overpowering that it’s such a great place to be on a Sunday afternoon, or a Monday morning, or a Thursday evening.
It is a rather strange scenario.
That would be like 200,000 posts or more if you count the other holdings in a “well balanced, high risk/reward, all baby bio portfolio” which contains only free shares.
And there is no pain when any of their share prices plummet to zero which happens at a high rate in the market segment because they are all fee.
Easy come, easy go I suppose.
Sure pal.
I just bought a standard issue birthday card for my mom this morning: $9
Funpostchecker Fraud Alert level 4
How dat big potion of your portfolio doin?
This holding is meaningless as you have made clear.
But it’s all in good fun to pass the time!
Just absolutely great entertainment.
Temper your enthusiasm for a falling stock price. It has no impact on your financial health anyway.
Funpostchecker rates a falling stock price post as a 10 for your message board fun level.
Funpost Level 2 Fraud Alert.
We’ll, I am a Funpostchecker and I am issuing a Fraud Alert.
Another spectacular point…..just for the fun of it!!!
Have you injected your opinion in discussions relative to any of your “heavy holdings” today?
Isn’t this fun!!
Your statement:
“Haha. I hold way more that 100 shares. What I said is AVXL is a tiny part of my portfolio (currently 8 figures) and wouldn’t add meaningfully to it unless AVXL hits $1249.”
Do you really expect folks to believe that you are here for fun.
By your account, no answer for AD mere, so that statement is nonsense too.
You aren’t an investor. This is a minuscule portion of your massive portfolio and would need to hit$1249 to make a meaningful change in your lifestyle.
But your fascination with the company is stunning. When do you have time to attend to your meaningful investments?
Seems you are widely overweight in your attention to this portfolio loser (by definition of every single post that you make). Hard to make sense of the obsession.
You stated that Anavex is a tiny portion of your massive portfolio and would have to go to 1249 to be life changing for you. This board is a great investment of your time.
What is it that you like about Anavex that brings you to their investor hub?
Just whom do you think you are lecturing? This guy is a certified Biochecker.
Are you still here because you’re “intrigued by the science?”
As the saying goes Checker, if the arrow fits…wear it!
To your point, the company has discussed that this compound would be something worth taking prophylactically which would advantage the long term effect.
If your research has brought you to Randi Hagerman at some point, she made the statement in an interview that she looks forward to taking the compound in such a fashion if/when it becomes available.
The anecdotal evidence that she has witnessed/conveyed in Rett patients seems antithetical to Doc’s 25% chance approval for Rett.
Good luck to you.
Was being facetious.
Whomever selected the font used in that Rett press release yesterday should be fired.
Nothing else to weigh in on Doc?
800 lb gorilla?
Any chance it was simply confirmation bias?
