Dmiller, do you happen to suffer from acid reflux? I have taken V for four years and 3 months now and not one fishy burp
Regards,
Flounder
Hey Main was it you that had written the $27 calls that expire this month? You going to let it ride or buy them back.? Just curious as I saw your post on ST
Vu- I made a similar post in September of last year and the price popped as we all know. It just seems like we are all anxious to get to the “Finish” line , what that means to each individual will be different.
Wow, some of these posts are just ridiculous. I am nowhere near perfect but when people are telling each other to “F” off. You guys need a new hobby. None of us are perfect, and we all made mistakes in this particular stock. But to call someone out for making their own decision is ridiculous. I made some really bad trades here too, and I could give one less damn what others think about that. Can we just wish each other the best? Like a big pissing contest lately, whatever. IMO
Just watched a video about AD and got me thinking how this could correlate with the Evaporate study. Also been mentioned on this board of the possibility of slowing the progression of AD. Take the five minutes to watch it, would like a doctors perspective. Thanks and safe weekend all.
Duke and Z, I utilize intermittent fasting and I take my first dose of 2gms with my lunch. And then again with dinner. Works well for me. I see some posts about difficulty in swallowing these 1gm capsules. I initially took one at a time until I got used to it. Now I just pop 2 at a time no issues. As for people not taking V because of uptake, I disagree. Once you start feeling better , i.e. less aches and pains, you realize that V is doing an amazing job of reducing inflammation in ones body. This in turn has conditioned me to look forward to taking my dose EVERY TIME. IMO
Nick- same could have been said last year as the price was in the $4 range to begin 2018. And as we all know it went down to the mid $2’s. So this move percentage wise is similar IMO. Let’s see how this plays out. I just lurk here and ST and will go back under my rock. I am adding every two weeks as much as my paycheck will allow
Scripts are up, morale is down, people are lashing out at one another. Seems to me like another September 24,2018 type event is imminent. We shall see IMO

Flounderguy
Invest- thankful that I do not reside in that state. Also if I were to lose my health insurance from my employer I would have zero reluctance in filling my V script at full price. This drug does so much to help my body fight off inflammation and that is worth the price of entry IMO.
Regards,
Flounderguy
Mellow- would also explain how upset JT was during that call on 8/8. The company was blindsided and all because of a CP. IMO
Regards,
Flounderguy
JL, interesting reply to a post that was pointed at a different person. No vitriol here, I just think if a doctor is unwilling to write the script then I fire that person and find one that will. I am speaking about V specifically and how it could save my life. Is $300 a month something I could swing if no patient card discount? ABSOLUTELY. I realize not everyone can afford that, and as you stated the tiering will become top priority. IMO
Regards,
Flounderguy
It seems pretty hypocritical that a certain poster is asking about getting a script when last year the same person was posting about the few “band of brothers”in their words and now asking for help. Is it just me? This person is a multimillionaire and asking for help for a script? Really? Call me cynical or just ignore , could care less. Point is if a multimillionaire can not acquire a script, then how do we grow the script count?! That was 100% sarcasm, I am a low level employee at a large airline and I pay $36 a year for my V script at 4 grams a day. Go figure. All in my opinion.

Flounder
Boozeman, please contact a mental health professional so you can talk this out. No-one on this board wants anything bad to happen to you. Please reach out to any and everyone, I know on a personal level that this investment has brought me to new lows and then new highs. What I have learned to do is just take it one day at a time brother
Regards,
Flounder
Thanks Kev! Quick nap before alarm
Few things before earnings,
1st I just had a lipid panel done last Wednesday and I am happy to say that I reversed my poor eating habits and dropped my triglycerides from 224 in January to a all time low of 76
2nd I still have not received a response from the doctor that I emailed several of the boards follow up questions
3rd I sleep very well knowing what V is doing for me physically as well as fiscally
4th I see that a certain poster has return with negative sentiment, perhaps this person would disclose their share count previous to all upcoming catalysts
5th I will be driving to work during the call tomorrow morning and was wondering if anyone would be willing to link the call on this thread so I may find it at the end of the day.
Lastly, I truly believe that this IS the best thing to be invested in, IMHO
Louie, I have never had any pushback from any officials in the Americas after showing my receipt. I generally work three day trips so I only have to carry one tiny sample bottle. Have a great day and thanks for your service to our country
Regards
Flounder
I only have one thing with more experience on this board and this is it. Just ask your doctor for one of the sample bottles and you should be good to go, good luck and we are all going to be loaded with cash by first half of next year. IMO
I have only been asked going through customs as I am a crew member and filing customs paper work. The question was in regards to why I carry Vascepa in an expired bottle. The simple truth is that my doctor gave me 10 of the sample bottles which contain 4 capsules a piece. Those bottles were from 2016, so as I refill my “sample bottles” with current stock of my most recent script, I carry a refill receipt from my most recent purchase. Customs officials have asked me why and my reply is that it is much easier to fill a sample bottle with three days worth of 4gms per day than to carry 120gms at one time. Hope this helps. Also no-one has ever detained me after my explanation and paperwork.
Regards
Flounder
Ps,
I carry 12 of the 1 gram capsules in each of my 10 sample bottles
Mass- I will ask in my email. Sorry for the late reply, ran out of posts
Regards
Flounderguy
Picasel- when we first started the Icosapent ethyl conversation he mentioned the Jellis study was the first of the epa only studies. He was not sold on the efficacy because of the open label and to many variables to account for. He is a very sharp 83 year old, I just think he is not willing to put his reputation on the line until there is more data. I realize everyone reading this is saying what about the 5million pages of data in the SNDA? Yeah it kinda bummed me out hearing that he would need another study to confirm the findings. This also ties in with what JL had posted about awhile back. JL mentions in a older post how the “thought leaders” would be resistant to change and here we are. JL is right again!
Regards
Flounderguy
Vetern- fair question. I got the impression that they are awaiting some direction from FDA, or it could be that the data is so damn overwhelming that they want to hear more. Your guess is as good as mine. I will screenshot your post and ask him that specific question. Thanks for bringing that up.
Regards
Flounderguy
Mass- he has been to all the conferences that Amarin has presented at post Reduceit. If I remember correctly he said that he was the President of the group that invited Amarin recently to the conference in Miami. It was either last weekend or the weekend before if memory serves. I thought it was Miami.
Regards
Raf- He brought up the all annoying mineral oil issue. So I asked him how mineral oil which was agreed upon with the FDA could result in such a high efficacy precentage. And I followed up with other doctors not involved with the trial said it would only account for a +/-3 % points. And that is when he stated another trial would be needed to confirm. I took a screenshot of your post also. Will get all my ducks in a row and email him after my upcoming trip. Looking to send him email this coming Sunday. Will advise board if/when I get response
Regards
Flounderguy
Mass- I would characterize it as being overly conservative. He is on a bunch of boards and has many accreditation’s to his name. What would you do at age 83 or so? I know a bunch of my posts are ignored or not believable. When I broke the ice to speak with him, he told me that he was working on an editorial piece for JAMA. Did not disclose topic, but it should be out in about a months time. Not sure how often that journal is published, we shall see
Tasty- took a screen shot of your post, will add to the list of questions I want to ask him. I will post if and or when I get a response. One question I should have asked was if he prescribed to people with high triglycerides and one or more co-morbidity issues. Will have to add that one too
Regards
Cmm- I have been taking screen shots of the people that have responded. Will review all screenshots and put together a lengthy email. I have a few people blocked so dont know if I have missed some posts regarding Dr. Gotto. He was very kind in sharing some information about how he thinks about Vascepa. He did think the results were remarkable but he followed that up with needing another trial to confirm. It was both exciting and frustrating. He has much to lose if he were to come out and say full steam ahead, I understand his dilemma. I am hopeful that Dr. Bhatt can help convince other thought leaders otherwise. All this IMO. I think he is a nice man overall, don’t think there was any maliciousness in his stance
Web- what you described in this post is exactly how it came across to me. He is not willing to stake his reputation on it. He will allow someone else to do that
VuBru- yeah this particular situation is rare, I think this is one of the reasons why the FDA should move quickly to give V a priority review IMO. Perhaps even an accelerated review as it helps to reduce the events of the deadliest disease of our great nation. IMO
Duke- yeah I am frustrated hearing some of the things he said too. We know Icosapent ethyl is the only ingredient ( majority 96% or better) in V, so how in the hell can you have a different omega 3 medication that has a mixture of epa and dha provide overwhelming results? IMO our tests results can only be confirmed if another study with only Icosapent ethyl is used. But who has time for that? People are dying and having events needlessly IMO. It has been mentioned on this board for years that the status quo will be difficult to breakthrough, I agree.
Duke- I asked him that very question and his response was that they need a second study to confirm. He did mention the Jellis study as well, but that was not a double blind placebo study and could not be assured of the likelihood of the results being from 1.8 g of epa. Was really frustrating to hear that. I figure if the Japanese see a 19% reduction and they eat more seafood than any other culture, it cant be an outlier. IMO
Regards
Flounderguy
Web- I got that exact feeling about him not prescribing unless over 500. I will ask him directly thanks for bringing that up. He is a thought leader so I told him my experience with Vascepa and mentioned that I never fit the parameters for a script but got it off label because of some of the other posters here mentioning how great they felt. Needless to say I do not think he was moved by my story. It may raise curiosity in his mind as I mentioned my plantar fasciitis went away within three weeks of use of V. I did mention that I personally believe it lowered the inflammation in my body, he was more agreeable on that front
Regards
Flounderguy
BB will bring that to his attention, thanks
JL, I will try to word it a bit softer, but I will pass it along
Could, will pass along those thoughts. Thanks for contributing
I was just recently flying up to ORD and I was seated next to Dr. Antonio Gotto. What a fascinating gentleman, oh by the way he is a world renowned Cardiologist. We had a wonderful discussion about the Reduce-it study. Unfortunately he is a huge statinista fan. I asked him directly if he believed everyone should be on Vascepa for its cardio protective properties and he was not willing to say yes to that just yet. He told me some people like to be ahead of the field but that could lead to “egg on the face” if not proven ( my words). He told me about many of his famous patients and how he worked with doctor DeBakey. Dr. Gotto was at the AHA, ACC, and recently the meeting in Miami. He is now at the conference that Chris cited recently. I bring this up because I wanted to know if you guys had any questions for him. He generously offered his business card and told me to email him once the conference in Europe was over. So guys take the time to read the mans credentials by googling his name. Let me know if you have questions for this physician.
Regards
Flounderguy
Wow! This board is getting as contentious as we were in September of last year. You guys just take a breather, we know the results of the trial. I just can’t see the FDA not understanding that the number one killer in the U.S. can be reduced just by expanding the label in a priority review. I think it happens, now the timing is my only question. All IMO
AMAZING! Thanks as always Sam
Question for the board, with this annoucement about being SOC for diabetics, can our reps talk to pharmacist’s to relay the information and to ensure scripts that are written for V should be given V and no substitute? Do reps speak to pharmacist’s? TIA
Interesting that so many little spats going on at the same time, reminds me of mid September when everyone was on edge about whether reduceit would pass or fail. Or perhaps the two main negative Nancies, one disappeared and the other changed their tune after data release. I bring this up to only say, I get it! We all want more. Whether it is the day traders or the swing traders. Perhaps you are a buy and hold type person. It’s all good. Taking cheap shots at each other and being condescending towards others is really beneath this board. I take full responsibility for my less than stellar posts about others in the past. I have learned that that gets me nowhere other than ignored. We all have come a long way, let’s stay focused.

Flounder
