As I recall...
When Jose first took over the stock from the old MMA company, their plans were doing something with gold. Nothing ever happened with that and then along came the landscaping business. It looks like since that has now failed, they are going back to the original plan of gold.
Shot yeah! Don't let those bull shotters talk you into selling your shares!
...why people sell it for 60% discount?
I wonder that too. They hold their shares all through the lead up to the split, and on the second day after the split they decide they are "too tired to wait"...lol
If this is true...
"FINRA seems to be scrutinizing closely any company and frowning upon “wash-rinse-repeat” actions..."
...then the company better hope there are absolutely NO ties to the previous insider/owners here. Mainly Shane and Tamara Traveller.
If anyone care to go back and look at the old posts on this board (when they were into MMA), you'll see that I was one of the biggest critics here. Mostly due to the insider crooks that were pulling the strings and issuing themselves over a billion shares in the process.
I also still believe that a lot of the selling here lately are the old insiders (Shane and Tamara Traveller) selling shares they had accumulated. That group always seemed to be under indictment and intense scrutiny by the SEC so they likely had to be careful about selling these boatloads of shares so as not to set off any additional alarms as to their scam.
You can go back to some of the old filings of that time and see how they were constantly issuing themselves shares. I don't remember the exact numbers and don't care to spend the time going back to look it up... but they would do things like "loan" the company a few hundred dollars and receive many millions of shares in return.
One of their tricks was, they liked to let the company lapse in their filings, and then file to bring the company current while issuing PR's and making a big deal about it (likely so they could dump more shares to enthusiastic shareholders). Then they'd do it all over again.
Cash 4, you were the moderator of this board and a huge supporter of the previous company here when the insiders back then make the current group look like a bunch of Boy Scouts. How come you didn't bring forth any "truth" about the company back then? Your post seemed to always be like "only 10 million shares on the ask then this thing take off". However, it was sitting at no bid all that time without moving.
Remember? I was there to point out the crookedness of the insiders then. I am now a supporter of this new company. Not surprising to me that we would find ourselves on opposite sides again.
I would seriously have a hard time believing anything from that site. That site is a "BlogSpot" site, meaning any of us could go there and set up a website since it's free.
I would expect real news to come from a real website where someone pays for the site.
This could very easily be somebody making up false "news" to attempt to move stocks that they own.
bobby, try reading my previous post# 66102.
The previous insiders issued themselves BILLIONS of shares. Much of that time the stock was sitting at or near no bid with virtually NO volume. There's a good chance they could be finally getting rid of any remaining shares thru VNDM.
If you examine the past history of this stock (when they were into MMA), you'll see that the previous insiders (Shane Traveller and Tamara Traveller) were well known in the penny stock scam arena. Their associate Steven Peacock (another well-known scammer) was formerly an insider here too. They are the ones that took the outstanding from around 50 million into the billions by various means of issuing themselves shares. I wouldn't be surprised if they still had a boatload of shares sitting around. They seemed to always be in some sort of trouble with the Feds so they may have been waiting until now (when they are perhaps out of the spotlight) to dump their remaining shares. That would be my educated guess.
You need to call your broker and tell them that you have a worthless stock that you need to write-off. They'll have a form for that.
You're one of the lucky ones if you only have 40k shares. I had many more than that and I know that is a "drop in the bucket" compared to some of the others here.
Has anyone here tried to have their shares removed from their account in order to claim a tax loss? I tried with Scottrade but they said they couldn't remove the shares because there is a "restriction" on the stock...
I tried explaining that the stock was restricted but is now revoked, but he said it's a industry wide thing and he couldn't do anything about it. He suggested contacting the IRS to find out how to declare the shares as worthless. He said if I do that and the stock starts trading again, my shares would start with a zero cost basis. That actually sounds like a better option than having the shares removed (just in case).
Oh great! Again with the
Let me explain (although you should already know this). Step one will be to r/s, which will further decrease the value of the shares after the inevitable post-split price drop. Then the insiders issue themselves million/billions of shares that all get "distributed" to the public, diluting the float and further decreasing the share value. All the while the company will produce positive PR's about how great everything is and how bright the future is. That's probably true for the insiders only.
Rinse and repeat...
It's already happened here a couple of times and it looks like the same crew is still in charge. So why should it be any different this time? Especially with the one seemingly honest guy (Joe Wooten) now out of the picture.
Care to explain this a little more?
I didn't know that. However, I don't really care enough about this stock anymore to check into it. It doesn't surprise me though. There was a big hoopla when Peacock "supposedly" left the scene to be replaced by the Traveller's. I guess these guys are the next in line.
And how many of those Preferred A shares were already distributed before the company "sold" theirs. I think we know who they would have been distributed to.
Must be all those "shorts" trying to cover...LOL
Well, I hope it all works out for you guys. My main interest here was as a fan of MMA and a lack of any other MMA stocks to invest in. I have no interest in what the current company does. I have so few shares remaining that I gave up hope a long time ago of these shares ever being worth more than the commission to sell them.
I still wouldn't be so sure the Traveller's are "really" gone and it's never good to be holding shares before a r/s.
I'm not so sure...
Yes...and just look at all the money the "traders" have made over the last year while this stock has traded from .0001 to .0001
I see, it's OK for you to "speculate" with nonsense like "only xxx shares left and this stock is to the moon" which you've stated numerous times over the last year or so. But it's not OK for others to "speculate" that this stock is still a dog. Just wanted to make sure I had that right.
And what makes you think the Traveller's aren't still involved with this POS?
The Traveller's bought this to "MAKE MONEY" and they did. At the expense of billions of shares of dilution. Perhaps that is how the new owners plan to "MAKE MONEY" too.
Likely someone just dumping their remaining shares so they won't have to see this junk in their account any more.
With that name change to NYBD HOLDINGS, INC., I wonder if the company is even in the MMA business any more.
Like cash said, they used PRWEb which is a free service. The news there usually gets picked up by the smaller news sites, like most of the ones in the links that cash posted.
I agree completely.
Phoenix, welcome to the board's Moderators!
I'm usually considered one of the "negative" voices here, but I try to stay within the realities of this stock. The insiders here (Traveller) have taken this stock from a low-float of around 50 million and trading over .01 just cver 2 years ago, to a float near 1 billion and at no-bid. I've seen lots of folks lose tons of money here with only a few coming out ahead.
Let's hope Wooten can get this thing turned around. However, I still feel that it would require getting rid of the Traveller's and a large reverse split in order to get back to a reasonable share structure.
I've said here many times, that a reverse split coupled with severing the ties to the Traveller's would be the first steps to this company becoming something positive. If Wooten can get rid of the Traveller's, that would likely end the ongoing dilution that has killed the stock. At least any dilution going forward could potentially be used to grow the company instead of line the pockets of an insider.
Good question. I'm sure it's not because of a lack of any indication that the company has anything planned for the future or that they still have over 300 million shares that I'm sure are in the plans to add to the float before they do a r/s. You'd think this would have huge volume...lol
I really expected some kind of promo after they made those "filings". Something like all the other times when they declared "increased transparency". My guess is still that the Travellers are being careful about anything that might look like one of their scam activities. Diluting another 300+ million shares might not look good to the authorities.
Where are you seeing that? I'm not aware of any filings since the ones for the end of 2011.
How can there be "manipulation" when there is ZERO volume?
Also, it sure sounds like most of what you are being told is what would be considered "inside information" which last time I checked was illegal.
This is funny:
I'm guessing that another 100-150 million in volume would take this off of no-bid. That is, unless the company still has shares to dump.
Well, that really wasn't meant specifically for you. There were several names I noticed taking on the crew and at least one began attacking FITX. By the way, I mostly support what it appears you're trying to do. In my opinion, what almost all of these groups do is definitely stock manipulation and it's a shame they get away with it so blatently.
Those links should prove useful.
Is that statement based on the price or the volume? lol
I already miss the "old" board here. Hopefully we'll get to see it again after all our new friends have moved on. Preferredly without leaving much damage in their wake. This is what I dreaded but what several here seemed to want. Let's hope it turns out well for everybody.
I don't see anything in your reply where it explains why I'm "wrong". The lawsuits against Feller that were mentioned in the article you linked proves what I was saying regarding liabilites.
Also, the SEC stepping in due to not having made regular filings is not the same as the SEC stepping in due to company wrongdoings.
What I don't understand is why some people refuse to understand the significance of the people that are currently in charge of this company. These guys are all pretty wealthy already and I doubt have any inclination to get involved in something that would be considered a "scam". So what if they're getting shares. As long as they aren't selling those shares, the float stays the same and doesn't get diluted. These guys (to me) don't seem like penny stock "pump and dump" scamsters...lol
Also, by becoming part of this company, these guys could be opening themselves up to all kinds of liabilities if this was really a scam and the SEC decides to step in. Again, these guys don't seem like penny stock "pump and dump" scamsters. At least their past history doesn't indicate that.
WOW! That almost assures that we'll get to see Rousey vs. McMann! However, Ronda has only been looking even more devastating lately while McMann looked pretty vulnerable in her last bout against Shayna Baszler. I actually thought Baszler won that fight when she almost KO'd Sara in the final moments of the bout. Still, I think Rousey vs. McMann is the premier Women's bout unless something can be put together between Ronda and Cyborg.
Go PELE!
