Great logic. TPG and Singtel both have strong reasons for SFOR acquisition. Singtel aspires to be a global player in cyber security and has potential liability through Trusrwave. TPG is working to turn McAfee into the "#1 pure cyber security platform for the cyber ecosystem!" Both TPG and Singtel have deep pockets. They could easily engage in a bidding war once the court clears up any doubt about SFOR IP IMHO. I'm just patiently waiting for the first shot in that bidding war to be fired!
Yeah, General Dynamics makes perfect sense as a contender. Thanks for your opinion. Anyone else care to name their favorite potential SFOR buyout bidder and state why? So far we have Singapore Telecom, ACS, Texas Pacific Group and General Dynamics.
None since Gemalto (which is being sued by SFOR for IP infringment) currently provides the DoD wide SIPRNET with the security of MFA/OOBA. Uncle Sam does not like dealing with thieves! Should Gemalto be proven to have infringed on SFOR patents, damages (perhaps treble) could be awarded. Also, if Gemalto chooses to settle, a license agreement with SFOR would be in order if Gemalto wants to keep that lucritative DoD contract IMHO.
So is Texas Pacific Group the most motivated possible SFOR buyer because of the Achilles'heel McAfee has (lack of keylogger protection) or what in your opinion? Thanks for sharing your logic and the well wishes.
Yes I am. Like you I'm a New Englander. I also hope to relocate to the islands. I believe SFOR stock will help me do so in 2018 when I expect a buyout to occure. I hope you had no huricane damage. There were 8 boats damaged in Belfast harbor with the last one which brought strong winds to the US East coast. Glad I was hauled and on the hard when they hit!
Never forget what Singtel (97% Trustwave Owner) CEO Chua Sock Koog stated on April 7, 2015 regarding their Trustwave acquisition. "We aspire to be a global player in cyber security. Trustwave's deep cyber security capabilities (infringed from SFOR) will create a powerful combination and allow Singtel to capture global opportunities in the cyber security space" Source: Trustwave Co. Chicago PR. Too bad that can't happen without a US license from SFOR let alone global use if SFOR is granted the international patent they applied for over 3 years ago (the average application waiting time). I also find interesting Mark Kay's statement "1 yr or so doesn't happen. Instead it (the Trustwave stay) will only be some months delayed." Why is that? Do you think Trustwave's owner Singtel which is on the hook as Phonefactor's owner, Microsoft, was for settlement money is concerned? I do! What do you think Singtel is going to do about this problem? IMHO they will make a buyout offer not in 1 yr or so but months. (If they haven't already.)That way they can become the "global player in cyber security" they aspire to be. With over $92 Billion in assets the SFOR buyout price would be easily paid by Asia's largest telecom provider.
I sincerely hope you are right and I am wrong about the NDA. The release of Entrust settlement figures via an 8K would be good news indeed!
Yeah, that makes sense. Microsoft insisted on an NDA with their $9.7 million settlement with SFOR. That's the precedent. So, I believe you're right. Entrust will most likely do the same. Consequently, we won't know numbers until the year-end, independently audited, 10-K comes out. Last year that was April 15th as I recall. That concerns me because without firm numbers some may hesitate investing. I understand that. However, I believe they will wind up chasing the pps North once Entrust's and other settlement figures are released. What this augers for IMHO is a window of opportunity to buy at an undervalued price until the 10-K. Then that window slams shut and we will be off to the races!
You bet I am! Now that the boat's winterized I'll be patiently monitoring SFOR develoments again. Patience being the operative word. Those Entrust settlement numbers being released November 10th may well be a harbinger of the good things to come into SFOR's accounts recievables. GLTA SFOR longs!
So, you're accusing HSN of false advertising?
No Duh! The message from GoldMaker I responded to specifically stated "jury trial" in regards to treble damages.
The HSN announcer stated "Used by Government Agencies". He did not specify which government agencies.
Looks like SecureAuth can see the handwriting on the wall IMHO.
Shhh! Don't tell the defendants that. Treble damages awarded to SFOR sound sweet to me.
Gemalto is the one I am most interested in. Since they provide DoD's entire SIPRNET with the enhanced protection of MFA/OOBA (according to their ad awhile back) that settlement should be a very generous one IMHO!
Agree. I am really looking forward to Entrust settlement news hitting the wires sometime after Friday, October 27th. GLTA longs!
Holy Cow! "Kay mentioned he thought SFOR IP is worth 8B". I didn't catch that while I was on the ICW. Great news to get upon returning from R&R! You definitely made my day. Thanks!
Thanks for the offer! However, we brought the boat North up the ICW back to New England for winter storage. I just docked & talked to the boatyard service manager today about possible system improvements. These will be paid for by the handsome profit I expect to make on SFOR shares by the time the boat is launched in the spring. I honestly expect the 10-K to be a block buster! If the release date is like last year's, it should be in mid-April. Just in time for boating season in New England.
I believe you're right about current developments. I based that 47 cent figure on what CEO Mark Kay stated at the time of the tradeshow interview. Consequently, it is somewhat outdated information.
"A couple billion dollars" is what I recall CEO Mark Kay said in the trade show interview. That figures to around 47 cents a share, right?
"Fight and lose BIG" Can you say treble damages?
Nothing of consequence IMHO!
Agree. That IPR denial was SFOR's Normandy beach landing at the USPO. The first settlement is the breakout after the bitter fighting in legal hedgerows. I believe more victories are in store for SFOR in this long and hard fought war in the court of IP law.
That makes perfect sense to me since SFOR's MFA/OOBA & encryption would enhance the McAfee's anti-virus software by protecting it's Achillie's heel of zero day attacks. Also, this spring a TPG exec did state in a TV interview "We will be acquiring companies in the computer security landscape." Gee, doesn't SFOR fit in that "landscape"? IMHO It most definitely does!
Thanks for the good news on the settlement! I have intermittent access to marina wi-fi & can only occasionally catch up on current developments with SFOR.
"I expect a bidding war for the patents." Strongly agree! My favorite contender is Asia's largest telecom provider, Singapore Telecom. They provide MFA/OOBA to their mobile banking customers, have a US subsidiary (who SFOR is suing) and with deep pockets ($97 billion in assets) could be a possible contender. If SingTel buys out SFOR which may soon have an international patent on MFA/OOBA, they would have the entire world market for secure mobile banking.
Strongly agree!
Ya got a good point Cartman. The big quesstion then becomes if CCTC survives will it and its' shareholders ever thrive? Time will tell.
"if" is the key operative word. With that DOE endorsement CCTC is golden. Without it, they join the multitude of failed clean coal projects that litter the countryside IMHO.
Strongly agree!
I was wondering when the old chestnut of a R/S would be dragged out despite CEO Mark Kay stating clearly none needed. Now, just how long has it been since the last R/S before the Microsoft settlement money showed up in accounts receivables?
If they do drag the lawsuits out they then possibly risk paying treble damages, as allowed by the US Supreme Court, if Blank Rome prevails.
In a word, YES IMHO. The operative word of course is as you stated "if". GLTA longs.
Thanks for bringing this frustrating article about NATO's continued vulnerability to my attention. It's frustrating because SFOR's Mobile Trust could end that now! Looks like I'll be quite busy again with follow-up calls, office visits and letters once I get our sailboat safely back to home port.
Concur with your assessment baldeagle1. In particular your statement in the second paragraph. RE: transfer of revenues & legal precedence, "until our victories in litigation take hold". IMHO 18 October may be SFOR's Normandy landing. The breakout took place only after bitter fighting in the hedgerows. For SFOR those hedgerows will be in court as it battles those "additional infringers" you mentioned. This will be a long hard fight. However, I, like you, am confident in SFOR's legal victories and subsequent revenues after that precedence is firmly established.
Yup! I can' wait for the 18 October decision to help expedite the expenditure of some of that legal funding.
If he retired prior to the August 18, 2017 DOD Contractors CIO's simulated cyber attack exercise in Washington D.C. it doesn't surprise me. That was the very first time Strikeforce's defensive software was tried out by them in a day long exercise scenario.
Being in USA IT he would have used DOD's SIPRNET which is secured by Gemalto using MFA/OOB. Consequently, he would of heard of Gemalto NOT Strikeforce who holds the US patent that Gemalto infringed upon to enhance SIPRNET security. Gemalto is one of several companies being sued by Strikeforce for that IP infringment. The potential damages awarded from Gemalto alone could be huge!
Any after action reports on that exercise would be pretty close hold info. What speaks volumes to me is the fact that those major DOD contractors invited Bo and used SFOR's defensive software for their exercise. This IMHO is a try before buy. Hopefully, it met their mission requirements. GLTA longs!
That's exactly what I believe also! After dodging hurricanes I'm back to cruising on the ICW. I'll check back in after that IPR dismissal. Until then, GLTA SFOR longs.
