To put this price in perspective:
At current price would take 83 shares to buy a $5 beer
************ $1.00 + $1.00 + PPS IN 2020
Perhaps in a year or two.
-Opinion: amorphous metal has the potential to become like plastic of the 1950s.
Anything else that I can do for you?-
Yes, but the plastic was invented in 1907. It took 30+ years to become commercial.
The first plastic based on a synthetic polymer was made from phenol and formaldehyde, with the first viable and cheap synthesis methods invented in 1907, by Leo Hendrik Baekeland, a Belgian-born American living in New York state.
It looks to me as a process for melding (not melting) the glass into the BMG which would produce a very clean way to join the two materials for a tight seamless joint. Just my two cents of course but that is what it looks like to me.
--Looking forward to another looooooong explanation of why the stock price is so low--
B E C A U S E I T S T I N K S.
Was that long enough?
LQMT is just another thorn in my flip-flop. More of a curiosity than an investment at this point
That was a pretty good retro verse there WATTS WATT.
I just pulled out my guitar and it phrased well.
They threatened to shut down our power grid in my area yesterday.
So I reluctantly moved in on the ICE Cream first.
.
Yes. LQMT reminds me of the RMS Titanic. As the ship was sinking the band played on.
-Just goes to show worm that those who were trying to sell you on we will be a dollar any day are not backing up their words with their pocketbook. I’ll look for a continued price deterioration-
Well, we just missed my 8-cent offer price. Well, there is always tomorrow.
Share price says it all... That IS all that matters and all the rest of this gab is meaningless.
IDK. IEP's dividend always looks strong but come Income Tax time we get taxed in a way where investors of the LLP share the tax responsibility on IEP which is passed down via the IRS K-1 Forms. Using this method investors are paying on gains. We are Limited Partners. We have to file K-1 forms. Depending on your exposure to IRS Taxes in some cases it really cuts into that 'perceived' gain.
-The S/P always drops between quarters, IEP has RAISED their quarterly dividend from $1.75 to $2.00, these cheapies are a Bargain, once the next dividend payout draws near the S/P will climb back into the $70.00's like it always does. Just a matter of time-
Well is it time to sell IEP and take the loss? Seems Carl is not moving to Miami and we all know. he is no spring chicken. How will IEP fare after Carl passes away?
I have been a longtime holder of IEP but with the price dropping along with the unknowns I am wondering if it is time to sell. He has pretty much told his employees that is HIS way or the Highway with severance.
I would like to hear others' opinions and rational on IEP.
And, as well all are well aware of the "world of LQMT" is very small indeed ... very small. We are probably down to a 20 to 1 shot at success and those poor odds are demising quickly.
Uh., That might be too generous.
Well said Watts Watt.
So why are all you peeps still holding hope? It seems to me that many peeps have got themselves in too deep, and are fearful of MISSING the perceived upside. IMO there are better odds of this LQMT running aground than producing the upside for many to simply GET EVEN on their investment. I hold on as I am down a whopping $2.5k on 50k shares. Pretty much beer money. I pop in every day and read a few posts and I just shake my head. Not to disrespect anyone but JESUS what are you all thinking?
Hope is not an investment thesis.
Watts Watt said The bottom line, at the end of 17 years since the IPO, remains the same:
************ $1.00 + $1.00 + PPS IN 2020
Never going to happen. Maybe 2 years from now. If we're still standing at all.
Yes. I suspect soon it will be 2021.
It will take time for 5g to roll out in the states. Perhaps 3 years for any major saturation IMO. Yes, there are a few select cities who will get it sooner and they are identified already.
The cost for upgrading to 5G is substantial and it will be spotty for at least 2 more years IMO.
About time for LQMT to "Thrive without Ma' Apple".Its "Adoptive Father", Prof. Li will raise it successfully!!!
Or LQMT drowns in the bathtub... At this point, I am not sure.
This is Kyle Bass taking with an exiled Chinese businessman, They discuss the Chinese Governments roll in China's business. It kinda explains how China works to steal technology. One can postulate that Professor Li is intangled too. He has to be in order to be successful. Mentions, why Jack Ma is, has not been heard from too. It is rather a LONG conversation and you will have to listen carefully. It explains a lot about China's Government control over men like Professor Li.
is it the catch or latch? I don’t reads Chinese just model X?
I believe it's just the lower locking mechanism.
DOWN 5.88% Historical volatility is 72.8%.
Seems some/many holders are cutting their exposure...
Just a guess people... But I have seen this movie before. BTW: Whatever happened to Barney Vassor? Didn't he get rights to the IP years ago when they split the sheets?
Ok. This is a TOTAL guess. My reasoning is past performance and lots of hype in what at one time seemed like a slam dunk. Now it is more of a 'dunking'. $0.35-$0.40 if Chinese Gov is involved.
-Just a guess of course
If Apple releases an iPhone with liquidmetal, what does this stock go to? Thoughts? Just give your number—not a lengthy explanation. My guess is $2.30.
Can you explain your rationale for your GUESS of $2.30 or is this simply wishful thinking? This reminds me of a bowl of spaghetti. IMO is that We have NO CLUE what-so-ever at this juncture.
Thank you for your reply.
I have not visited the Lake Forest facility. However, I read that the LF location is void of a loading dock... Yet it has an electrical upgrade recently completed. 20 additional machines will be installed FOR A TOTAL OF 65 MACHINES? That does change the equation. I was not aware of these additional machines. I was under the notion that F/L was primarily an R+D setup.
Thanks for taking the time to respond PayMEmf.
Appreciated.

Wowza! That was a big info dump. Care to give a 'summary' of all this you have posted? It would be appreciated. Thx
Assuming for the moment that Eontec is NOT utilizing LQMT licensed technology, then Eontec is outside of the PLA and territorial exclusivity doesn’t apply. How then does revenue flow to LQMT?
Exactly! We know how Eontec will benefit. APPLE has rights and that is all good and well but outside of Apple how does LQMT benefit?
Come on Ramp—the same can be said in reverse... Negativism isn’t either. There are plenty of investment examples of people being too negative and missing out on huge gains.
I read all the posts here and I hold a sizable position. I am simply not convinced that LQMT is anything but disposable R+D facility. Li bought the IP and is developing it in China. Now our current trade 'issues' with China is just one more nail in the coffin.
*My opinions are simply my opinions. But one thing is certain. 'Hope' is not an investment strategy.
For us forward-thinking optimists we are closer than ever
--IMHO: Optimism is NOT a proper investment thesis--
I can give you a handful of companies where investors were optimistic and very HOPEFUL right before losing 99% of their investment.
Do you recall 'Implant Science'? Read up on how that one went down..
-You know, I'm beginning to think we are never going to see a revenue-producing contract and that Li is just going to let this all die on the vine.-
Yes, It looks that way to me too. Like 'slinking' out of bed and going home when you realize that the babe was FAR better looking when you were drunk with hope.
IMO: LQMT is starting to smell like a dead rat ...
-It is clear to me today, as was the day before the announcement of his 65 million share purchase, that the US operation was a SCAM.
Now, we may disagree as to who caused the SCAM, but it still is proven to be a SCAM for LQMT investors.-
Yes. We have been connived.
The believers will always believe like Slim Pickins riding the Atomic Bomb in Dr. No.

In the last 23 trading days Eontec stock has appreciated from about ¥8 to.¥13.14....about 65%. If the trickle-down is to work, Eontec has to be extremely successful so that LQMT can be just successful.
Yes Agreed! Eontec has to be extremely successful so that LQMT can be just moderately successful. I fear some here will need to reset their unbridled enthusiasm and realize we still have a long way yet to go.
Li is a Chinaman in China. Do you really think he gives a darn about a flock of (we) Pigeons with the current China/USA/TRUMP issues that are going on? He has what he wants. He placated LQMT holders with HOPE and nothing more. Why should WE trust him? He won't even talk to us. LOL!
Yes we seem to be LONG on Guesses... and SHORT on Facts and Information.
If it goes much lower I suspect there will be a race to the door. GLTA
Seems we LQMT holders are now the redheaded stepchildren of Li's REAL company. We will get whatever scraps they throw into the feeding trough. Suck it up. We we're screwed at JumpStreet.
Yi'an Technology Concern 2019-07-28
Hello! Thank you for your interest in the company. The company has supplied mobile phone structural parts to the Mate20 series. Thank you!
Structural parts?? Midframe?!
It certainly appears to allude to it. However, we need more confirmation as opinions and facts often get confused around here. Good find - Thank You
Yes. Dyslexia is real. However, my point was made regardless. Seems the daily LQMT crowd here is acting very pensive lately.
Forest Lakes is NOT cheap either...
I suspect that it is likely comparable to San Jose.
Maybe. But I wouldn't hold my breath.
I was referring to where headquarters are located and where decisions are made.
