Green Relief has a unique way of growing tho... doesn't surprise me that it would take a little longer. It involves fish and kale... saw an interesting clip on BNN with them. Health Canada probs like wut?

Green Relief... been 1 year. SL not yet at the 1 year mark (3 weeks away). Hope to see Green Relief get theirs ASAP... then it could mean SL's imminent. It'd also be cool with me if SL got theirs first.
This has been asked before and answered but can someone provide me Bruce's company email? Normally I wouldn't want to take up any of his time but I have an inquiry that I'd rather not ask IR - who can I email higher up?
Guess Mettrum CEO won't have a token position with Canopy after all. On the conference call they made it sound like he would help with international in Australia or smthg. Guess now he'll just be on a beach somewhere chillin' with his WEED (shares). If only we could know what the true story is... would give anything to be a fly on the wall for a day in Bruce's office lol. Still shaking my head at those die hard MTers who didn't want to get bought out. With Mettrum's large patient base Canopy is doing a huge service by stepping in and cleaning up their act. Thank gawd for Bruce may he always stay on his toes and never disappoint us. Lol but seriously.
"Mr. Linton said Mr. Haines is no longer with the company, subsequent to the deal closing, and that his focus will be on installing new practices and oversight so that there are no further recalls."
Now that CGC and MT are WEED... COMA is no longer.
WEED STOCKS = AWESOM

^Plenty of sun in February thanks to Yoda. We got The Force on our side.
*stupid bedrocan*
Don't underestimate The Force, shorts!
How long does it usually take for shares to convert in your experience? Thanks!
Ugh at the manipulation eod. We were doing so well... I think this guy is recommending to his newsletter subscribers to short the sector. They are trying really hard to break the chart!

I hope Mr. Linton has some surprises up his sleeve and I think financials are only 2 weeks away!
Yoda, we need The FORCE on our side!
Goodbye Mettrum board... we mexiting this place!
Welcome to the Canopy, Dogger. ;)
Anyone attend the meeting this morning?
Anyone at the meeting and know what's going on?
Hoping $10 resistance finally becomes new support for good this time...
When you put it like that... why bother buying your shares back? ;)
This may interest you... a bunch of garbage U.S. pot stocks recently went on a run for no good reason really and there was major profit taking today. I suspect that $ will now start to flow into the CAN sector exactly like it did last time.

Not sure how legit the stock is but a useful indicator. Compare the charts. Runs ~week apart. Traders will play their games and take this for a nice run cause why not?
CGC may also be very close (I hope so!) to breaking the lower low, lower higher downward trend. That will be a signal for longs to re-enter.
Don't usually like sharing SA articles but hey this sounds good to me!

"So I believe the marijuana stocks are back into a normal trading stance and I expect a yearend rally starting immediately carrying into 2017."
With latest analyst price targets around $14 that would be a pretty sweet deal for buyers wouldn't it. To be determined...
Hopefully you can get that $7 buy before Jan. when TFSA holders come rushing in with their top up $. ;)
Ouch 6 red days in a row. Can we finally get a green day tomorrow or Friday, please?
Mexit: Are there a bunch of closeted Mettrum shareholders we don't know about who are gonna give their own management the middle finger and vote no?
So far I've only come across one or two...
Dogger, I would like to personally thank you for doing a valuable public service by participating on this board. I don't think any CGCers realized anyone was delusional enough to vote no to this deal. We all thought this was in the bag and likely many of us would not have bothered voting. Voter apathy was the greatest thing you had going for your campaign against CGC but because of your hard efforts here you have single handedly rallied the Oompa Loompas who also own MT shares to vote yes! Because of you this is now in the bag. Lets all be grateful for Dogger. And vote yes. ;)
But you don't have a Yoda. So there's that.
I commend you for keeping emotion out. Indeed, The Force is strong with CGC. :)
Doubt it would stay that way. Mettrum would have to issue more shares to catch up and keep up with this fast paced industry. CGC has already raised a boatload of money and invested in infrastructure that will benefit Mettrum and provide cost synergies. Don't expect to reap rewards without the heavy lifting. They mentioned one major example specifically in the conference call that would be costly to Mettrum shareholders if going it alone. All the LPs who want to become a big deal raised significant funds this round except Mettrum. CGC can raise millions of dollars at a high sp with the snap of their fingers. Something tells me if this deal falls through Mettrum won't have as much luck doing the same as the questioning and uncertainty will act as a deterrent. I believe the reason they took part in less equity raises was because they always intended to be bought out by CGC and wanted to remain an attractive target. They've been talking about this behind the scenes together for a couple years now.
I 100% believe your scenario is more likely to come true owning CGC shares... Mettrum's management sure think so. Doesn't give me a lot of faith to continue investing in them if they're forced by shareholders to remain independent. Not to mention they could really use a greenhouse... add that to the list of things they'll have to buy. They likely have one of the highest costs of production.
Together they can be so much better.
Haha that's one thing we can agree on!
Except for a couple voluntary recalls. ;) Guess I'm just not that excited about the Mettrum brand. Still yet to be seen how they would package it... not like Originals or Spectrum. So I don't really know what the brand you speak of looks like. Guess that's what I meant but likely they need to wait for guidelines from the TF on that.
Anyway, good luck to you sir! Now we wait...
Thank you Goodbuddy. I think I may have rubbed some of the Mettrum Long & Strongs the wrong way over there. ;P
Tweed and Mettrum already working well together...

The diehard MT shareholders are craycray... if this deal falls through because of them I'm selling my small amount of MT shares and CGC will proceed to crush them.
I'm in full agreement with you that this is a clever and excellent strategy for their healthy lifestyle hemp line brand, Mettrum Originals. Management hasn't stated what their rec branding strategy is for cannabis products specifically. Due to advertising restrictions on cannabis products there is no way they could advertise and brand these the same as Originals. They would need to come up with a new Mettrum line of products. That would also be confusing branding hemp products and cannabis products the exact same and potentially dangerous if consumers mix them up. They need a new brand other than Mettrum Spectrum or Mettrum Originals for rec and I believe their wish to join Canopy at this time speaks volumes as to their strategy. Just plain Mettrum won't cut it for rec users... they need something more.
Canopy from the beginning has always maintained that Tweed would be their predominant rec brand (in addition they now have DNA Genetics brand and Leafs by Snoop brand for rec) and Bedrocan would remain strictly medical and only available to patients (Mettrum Spectrum would fall into this category as strictly medical).
Mettrum Spectrum doesn't count (clearly aimed at patients and physicians) and neither does their hemp line. Would love to hear their rec branding strategy for cannabis products... please inform?
Fair enough. Actually I'm more concerned with my own $ which I believe will go down the drain if this deal falls through. Can't wait to see what happens either way. I'll side with the wishes of Mettrum's management on this one. :)
If they really want this deal to happen now I don't believe they think they can get a better offer and I don't think they want to continue going it alone (no rec strategy).
Never play poker with this guy... Straightest face in room two hours before he provided $MT.v stakeholders with amazing news of merger. https://t.co/El9QRLZlpk

The conference call presentation discussed how joining forces would put both companies in a better position when Big Tobacco, Big Pharma or Big Alcohol comes knocking. They are much stronger together than apart when the big boys start stomping around the sector choosing who will survive and who will be crushed. I believe Mettrum shareholders would be in a position to get a much juicier buyout offer down the road with Canopy and their numerous brands than without.
Mettrum was never one to seek the spotlight and preferred to work hard under the radar. They will continue doing what they do best and piggyback off of CGC's hype. Bruce loves the spotlight and is a media darling. Imo I'd rather not go back to the days of the sp perpetually underperforming peers in the sector. I was holding out until cash flow +, upgrading to TSX and hearing their rec strategy before re-evaluating position and very likely moving on. With this deal they accomplish 2/3 and I believe are closer to the first point with the cost synergies CGC will save them so I'm happy. The call mentioned CGC has already completed projects that MT would still have to fund if going it alone. This will create a leaner company with more assets that will be far more attractive to the big players if they don't become The big player themselves.
Point taken. I went on a little bit of a rant last night. My apologies if the tone offended anyone. Here's another one: George Scorsis President of Mettrum (past positions Red Bull Canada and Bacardi) will become a new director of CGC. Bruce said in the call that George will help shape what the end of prohibition looks like in Canada. Bet he's excited to work for the #1 company with the best rec branding strategy.
Yup, that $10 million penalty would hurt. Imo the writing is on the wall with this one. There is no escaping the Canopy. ;)
Lol for the love of all MT shareholders hopefully you two are the only ones crazy enough to vote no. ;)
If this deal were to fall through sp would crash back down to where it was (or lower) and in addition MT would have to pay CGC $10 million. The market would not react kindly towards MT if this were to happen. There is a reason sp was perpetually underperforming compared to peers. I believe management have now shown their cards and they do not have a rec strategy and no plans to develop one. Directors unanimously want to sell... I don't understand why any shareholder would want to go against their wishes as they know what's in the best interest of the company and are shareholders themselves.

They did an excellent job building MT to where it is now. I believe all along their plan was to make it a valuable target for another company. I think Mettrum CEO wants an out and is practically drooling at the opportunity to own CGC shares and hand the reigns over to Bruce to make him millions more. Sounds like he will still play a role and help expand their collective interests internationally. Please listen to the conference call regarding this acquisition before voting. This is a great deal for both companies and will improve cost synergies tremendously. Why would you want to force Mettrum management against their will to go back to the drawing board when they all want to become part of the Canopy and grow a larger company together? This is no hostile takeover. This is both companies strategically working together and planning this through talks and developing a relationship over a long period of time. Voting no is throwing your money down the toilet.
Agree to disagree.
MT directors know what's best for shareholders. If you've had faith in them thus far then have faith in them now. DON'T PRESS THE BIG RED BUTTON! DON'T PRESS IT! Lol you will not like what happens if you do. :P

I'm also a shareholder of a company named in this article. *Cough cough* the one that must not be named here. I'm very unimpressed with this. They are tarnishing their spotless reputation as the best managed. Not happy but will still hold.
