No shorts do not always show up in some neatly organized short report. No one knows if there has ever been a shorting problem yet. I'm not saying there is shorting happening but I will say this, sub penny stocks are very easy to short for a big players. They sell shares that never existed and wont get called on it until the price goes up and people sell. Shorts gamble that nothing will happen with the stock. Shorting at this level banks on never having to pay anything... Also, shorting a stock holds the price down because if shares are able to be bought at a price that those shorting, are willing to short them at the price never goes up.
