So i have heard you can request a tighter bid ask at brokerages with penny stock if you call in. My buddy does itball the time with thinly traded stocks where spreads are 0.05 and 0.12 for example you can get a tighter bid/ask changed to 0.05/0.08 for example but they xharge like $10 more for the trade but if you can shave off 30% cost its worth it.
