"OBVIOUSLY all the negative speculation here is not factual"
NO, but all of the factual information we know of EGC just happens to be negative.
peeved, they might not be legally bound to that statement based on the legal definition of the word used "believe". It is my understanding that if the money isn't there they can hide behind the use of their phrasing.

regarding the use of the term "believe" in the PR released
Mental reliance on or acceptance of a particular concept, which is arrived at by weighing external evidence, facts, and personal observation and experience.
Belief is essentially a subjective feeling about the validity of an idea or set of facts. It is more than a mere suspicion and less than concrete knowledge. Unlike suspicion, which is based primarily on inner personal conviction, belief is founded upon assurance gained by empirical evidence and from other people. Positive knowledge, as contrasted with belief, is the clear perception of existing facts.
Belief has been defined as having faith in an idea or formulating a conclusion as the result of considering information. Information and belief is a legal term that is used to describe an allegation based upon Good Faith rather than firsthand knowledge.
belief n. convinced of the truth of a statement or allegation. In a common phrase "upon information and belief," the so-called belief is based only on unconfirmed information, so the person declaring the belief is hedging his/her bet as to whether the belief is correct. (See: information and belief)
game7 I'm suprised you stayed in this one considering the rough time we had with the last scam we fell victim to. I bailed at .33 and took the loss, I think grampie has been spot on with his take on things.
The answer is pretty simple, all the "ifs" "supposes" don't add up...if there was nothing wrong here then the BOD would've gotten in front of this a long time ago. A letter to shareholders, a proper update..something, anything. Now they're on the greys and they don't have to say a word, they can miss their deadlines, remain silent and keep the bagholders in the dark as long as they want.
Watch the volume dry up, this is how you get trapped.
I wish I could say it's been a fun ride, gonna go back to lurking and see how this story ends.
I'll have to let Wize know how this one turned out.
Villas, That "smile" was a red flag to sell out that I ignored, and yes, I was there and sat across from him in the hotel lounge and can honestly say that you are 100% correct. I even remember our friend Wize buying ole Timmy boy a Corona...
Doc was incredibly polite and gentlemanly, my guess is he sold long before I chose to.
FWIW I no longer own any shares of Globetel and can say that I will never buy any again, regardless of how legitimate the current regime seems to be. who knows?
Did my weekly scan of this train wreck and saw your posting, hope all is well.
Will, I appreciate your thoughts on the matter. Sometimes we can get a little impatient and want to jump stocks. I really don't have the advantage of watching the day to day moves of anything I own so I tend to stay away from the one day penny wonders and stick mostly with the less volatile securities.
That is why I like Wize's system because it allows me the time to catch up. Problem for me is I forget some of the ones I follow and trends shift without my paying attention.
This EGMI stock...wow!
wize; here is the other one we've discussed that I have been following CCJ,
Heard about it from one of my savvier clients who, coincidentally, suggested I boot Globetel when I still had a profit.
I'd like to ask your thoughts not only about CCJ but whether to sell particular holdings to raise capital for taking a position.
Is it worth it to trade winners(performance) for winners (potential)?
OK Wize, good to see this board active again.
An old favorite of mine seems to be trending positive again...NTGR 3 month daily.
It may be a little premature but I already own a bit, just wondering if I should double up.
"You keep looking for a conspiracy where there is none to be found..."
SPD that seems to be the one common flaw in everyones judgement with regard to jettisoning GTEM from their holdings. What I don't quite understand is the logic that if a conspiracy was proven with shorting or share price manipulation that it would somehow help the stock performance.
I think it's safe to say that the only conspiracy easy enough to prove is the company lied to shareholders.
It's that simple.
Sometimes people fail to accept the obvious facts and retreat to a state of denial with the hope that there is a dark and evil force behind their misfortunes when all along it was those that we trusted that gave us the shaft.
crash, he never stated that he planned on taping any of his phone conversations. It would be safe to assume that anyone attempting to record phone conversations would keep it to themselves.
Not so much a stab in the dark as just a word of caution...that's all.
Glow before you call make sure to check this site out re: wiretapping laws.
http://www.pimall.com/nais/n.tel.tape.law.html
You'll notice Florida is a two party state which means you would need to notify Tim you'd be recording these phone calls else risk being subject to Federal charges since the call is across state lines.
Also, the use of, or threat to reveal these recordings publicly not only incriminates you but would be considered a form of extortion.
Just a tip.
be careful
GM Nerd, congrats on the 22%! I wish I could say the same. I'll have to work a year of Saturdays to cover what has evaporated over the last 10 days, starting with today. Though we are long term it's still unsettling to watch.
Of the four stocks I tracked, only one (WCI)sell, was a home run. The others PDS and MOT were bad picks, I think Frank and Wize both stated that there wasn't enough confirmation of a trend reversal and they were right.
NTGR has had a hell of a ride.
I still like NTGR, DELL, and GE for some modest gains.
Energy and Emerging markets are a bummer.
GLTU
Vern, Globetel wireless was shuttered in March...weeks before the announcement was made about Uli's departure.
The equipment remained inside and the windows displaying "Globetel Wireless" were scrubbed clean.
Uli remains the tenant as "Trimax Wireless" and runs his business from the Horseshoe Dr. address in Naples.
If GTE was evicted then maybe it was possible that Uli assumed ownership of the Globetel equipment, although I believe much of it belonged to him prior to his move from Exchange Ave location 2 years earlier.
OT: A third draft time has been reserved...Wed Aug 29 7:30pm EDT
As I have discovered that Sunday may not work well for everyone. If anyone has any other preferences please post them so that we can settle on a most appropriate time.
Off Topic: It's that time of year again!
I have secured 2 seperate draft times for the GTE draft league like we've had over the past.
Sunday August 19 @ 11a or
Sunday September 2 @ 12 noon.
Please give some feedback by Tuesday July 17 as to which time would be more appropriate so that I can forward the link.
The draft takes approximately 45-60 minutes.
You can pre-rank your picks if you can't make it.
Everyone is welcome, we have 11 available slots.
All who played last season will recieve an e-mail once we chose which draft time to use.
Anyone who does not recieve an e-mail from me by the end of next week please let me know.
note: (This is not for the salary cap league); This will be set up once Yahoo provides the link...sometime mid August.
Frank: Thank you in advance for leaving this post up as it is not directly stock related.
Wize re: WCI I guess I should've indicated it would be a short sell (a first). sry about that
A 0.17 monthly dividend with PDS drew me in, it was between that and RIG (up 11%)which I thought was a bit pricey at the time;DOH!
I agree with Frank that it was too early for a trend confirm but along with MOT I figured why not risk a little at this point.
NTGR is a double so I'll be selling half, I missed the signal on MCZ but as you know I've been reluctant to re-visit those sub-dollar stocks.
I never got filled on ABB, there is a gap I hoped would close, it didn't.
BTW shame your fins passed on Quinn.
Frank, I jumped on at 18.03 that day also picked up some PDS at 26.10. Still holding NTGR, watching SAMC 1.22 but missed out on MCZ.
Looking to sell WCI.
DFMan, GTEM freed Uli to pursue his own ventures, upgrade the technology that GTEM could not afford to sponsor.
Yes GTEM owns the 4010's but soon the tech will become outdated as all technology does...where do you think that leaves GTEM and their "Hotzone" technology?
The money is in the subscriptions, not manufacturing routers for rooftops.
If GTEM cannot show evidence of building a residual client base then the companys' days of relying on 4010 sales are numbered.
They aren't a blimp maker and they sure aren't a router assembler, vaccine provider, VOIP installer, phone company or whatever the flavor of the year they decide to imitate.
Sorry but Trimax is all about Trimax, Uli is obliged to provide 4010's because GTEM still owe's him a bundle.
Frank/Wize, PDS 26.29 1 year weekly.
Coming off a 2 year low.
Pays %7.79 div.
thoughts?
Frank, MOT 17.95 down 12.5% ytd.
Just settled with SEC for 25m.
Steady increase in volume since August of 2006.
3% above a 2 year low.
I know it's too early for Wize to like but at 17.95 I like the upside here. Do you see any reason to steer clear?
Is 19.75 the first level of resistance? then to 22.25?
Why the choice of the word "envisioned" in todays pr?
envision definition
tr.v. en·vi·sioned, en·vi·sion·ing, en·vi·sions
To picture in the mind; imagine.
Why not "contracted"
not a bash, spin it how you want... but it makes you wonder.
Frank, from now on it's just growth and value for boring ol' me.
There's plenty to chose from and I'm content with modest gains. I like Wizes' EBAY pick, the two I posted and I'm watching to see what becomes of GE @ 37-38. My opinion is if you can do 10% in 6 months then it leaves you with half a year to gain the remainder to beat the S&P.
I tend to steer clear of Biotech, Airlines, fads and pennies (thanks to GTE).
I don't need a moonshot, at my age 10-15% will suit me just fine.
I've been screwed by news too many times, from now on it's growth I'm primarily concerned with.
Fantasy football will be early this year so watch your mail. It might be appropriate to consider changing the league name...any thoughts?
uh oh... LONDON, May 9 (Reuters) - Plans by U.S. biotech company Dendreon Corp. (DNDN.O: Quote, Profile , Research) to market a pioneering therapeutic cancer vaccine, Provenge, were dealt a blow on Wednesday when U.S. regulators demanded more data before approving it.
Shares in the Seattle-based group plunged 65 percent to $6.20 in electronic trading ahead of the Nasdaq open.

I hope you took your profits
Wize, that chart really shows just how critical these times are for GTEM. As you know I no longer have a position in this company (which is also a position) but I have not ruled out re-entering.
As I look at GTEM I try to see it as a "new" investor...all bitterness aside. The volume lately is what has struck me as a potential no-no for buying any shares. All too often I hear of investors holding on too long as volume dries up and then find themselves trapped in a position.
I admit that I may be pre-mature assuming that GTEM is at the beginnings of that trend. I guess what I'd like to know is what criteria/ratio, with respect to volume, shows the onset of this happening?
Nerd you mentioned $$$ vs. shares traded. Do you see the two as seperate indicators even though they're one in the same? and should I?
I agree that .25 is a critical point for GTEM to hold. As time goes by and investors wait for financials and news I'd like to ask your opinions as to how long can GTEM stay above .25 without these updates?
low, I feel the same way yet would it be safe to say that for quite a long while a steady pattern of volume lows have occurred consecutively here?
It would seem as though we're hitting a new volume low each week.
At what point or ratio would you determine that volume has become so anemic as to be a concern?
Also, when the monetary value of the shares exchanged becomes so little that one poster could, in affect, move the sp?
104k shares sounds like a bit but at .24-.25.
Does the volume follow the trend?
Isn't it a warning to you TA guys? The volume has been collapsing steadily. every day, every month?????
Don't you guys get the feeling that it would seem you're beginning to trade amongst yourselves? Todays exchange of $26k worth of stock doesn't seem to invoke much confidence.
Wouldn't anyone with a large position here get a little concerned?
Seriously, think about it...todays trading is less than many posters overall position, not goofing or bashing here but this fact outta be addressed you think?
"now Uli is mass producing the units for the Mexican JV"
you're kidding,
70-80 units created for GTEM and now he's raising funds for his own venture??
ABB 20.30, NTGR 31.52 any thoughts?
Wize you'll like these two.
just wait til you see the legal expenses.
lots of folks getting hurt here, sorry to see that you're still in.
Cole, Frank... what'd be really cool is if we all did a sort of fantasy stock pick league with a hypothetical dollar amount.
Keep the competition friendly but actually have people that stay on top of their picks.
Some of us in the past just didn't stick with it...if we could utilize the message board to occasionally explain our purchases and sales it may help tremendously.
Frank if you'd set one up and post the link here I'd like to sign up.
In order to promote fairness I'd only suggest that stocks below 1.00 and multiple day trades be disallowed.
Just a thought.
Hi Wize, great to hear from ya, I looked at the 1 and 2 year weekly charts for CHTP and cannot find the reason for your lack of enthusiasm for a move to 7.00+. Am I missing critria here? I used all the same signals and such.
BTW I'm working on a theory for a book explaining why bulemics are hot but anorexics are scary.
Your input is welcome.
Thinking Biscayne Nat'l park next week...ever been?
Jim Profit, I believe Deadhead, Rocky and bill77 are on the right track here. Globetel owns the "hotzone" tech as it existed when Uli was with Globetel and will continue to use these boxes until the technology will need to be upgraded. My guess is Trimax shall provide the newer updated units once the opportunity presents itself.
Meanwhile it would seem that any network established with the 4010 technology, regardless of the source, shall pay royalties to GTEM.
My concern would only be why Uli left so suddenly. Would the money come quicker?
Vote for Sanjaya and live well ;)
for curious Hotzone fans.

sirius "there are so many possibilites for big news"
you forgot to add:
suspension of trading, bankruptcy, or a possibility they would spin off yet another spoke of the hub.
Not being wise, but you have to admit there is just as much of a likelihood we'd hear any of those as well.
hog, are you inferring that posters who continue to "stalk" Globetel and are rewarded with emminent news announcements are enjoying 300% gains???
You can't be serious.
If anything pr's are rewarded with late day sell offs to modest gains
Frank, great idea...thank you for providing the forum. Looking forward to sharing with the new group...and not talking GTE anymore.
Judging from the posters so far we're off to a great start.
glow to the best of your recollection has there ever been a release from Globetel, since Bleckman's arrival, that didn't end with his/Bleckmans contact info?
does this mean anything? at the bottom of the pr...

Rob Bleckman? his #? is he gone?
justfrank, I don't know if you remember back in August of 2005 the company's goal was to have the strat float 24 hours at 45,000 feet with a 100 lb payload. This was spelled out by Jones during his presentation at the shm.
The 45k altitude was to show the interested parties that the strat will perform while under stress (jetstream) and also to test the resilience of the carbon frame that had been recently utilized in their demonstrations.
Which would indicate more results 7 days at 25000 or 24 hours at 45000?
It would seem that Helium retention is now the primary concern, not steerage and guidance/durability.
Either way they still have to demonstrate total control through the 45000 foot level as set forth by the Air Force...If I remember correctly this was their criteria that Globetel had to endure.
Anyone that was at the 05 shm might be of some help verifying this but it was one fact that stood out prominently during his presentation.
Nil, That's winter 2009-2010
"Murch hopes that in the next two to three years, a successful Stratellite prototype will be unveiled to the world."
And that's if all goes according as planned! With funding!
Monies for salaries, rent, supplies, lawyers, and keeping up with technology rollovers for 2-3 years leads one to wonder that a profit is also that far out too.
My guess is that LM will have caught up to us. Can you see GTEM remaining a pioneer in this field for very much longer?
