I have in my notes that someone at the ASM posted this on iHub in October: "I asked him lastly about timing to implement the RS and he said as late as possible to give other upcoming events as much time as possible to raise our pps back to the minimum required ( or higher)."
... so, it was my understanding that they were trying to raise the pps back above $1 to prevent a RS.
I haven't posted in a while, but occasionally keep notes on interesting topics
My first quick opinion on yesterday's PR is kudos to the company for getting the resources to determine beta-2 GP1 as an important biomarker.
Additional questions and thoughts:
1. Why did they break out the range between 200 and 240 vs greater than 200?
2. Are they in FDA initiation for a biomarker qualification submission?
3. It would be nice to see a deep dive break out of ecog 0 vs 1 vs Bavi/doce vs doce vs alternative drug treatments/ trials patients sought during the trial vs beta 2 GP1 vs patient geographics and how all of that might have effected MOS. Was or will any of that info be prepared?
Has anyone posted info on the rolling BLA of late?
Nice to see some positive research-triple combo to treat triple negative breast cancer. I didn't realize they were studying bavi in combo with anti PD-1 and Anti-lag3. Was this study part of the NCCN and is the anti-lag3 a BMS drug?
Thanks for keeping me in the loop Biopharm. I haven't been checking the boards so much lately. An Alzheimers prevention/ cure is near and dear to my heart. I hope your puzzle pieces come together on this one Good morning to all those who invest / risk money in our future's health - whatever those investments may be
I'm so sad to read this. His personality, creativity, and wit really shined through the ethers to this board- my condolences to all affected by this loss.
Thanks for sharing vp 007. Great to see the justice arm make a wise ruling. It would be nice to see preventive proactive measures taken as well, not just after the fact lawsuits. ...At least, this is a step in the right direction
"In a sweeping blow to Wall Street investment giants, the U.S. Supreme Court today unanimously allowed lawsuits against "naked" short sellers in state courts to proceed. "
If it doesn't fit, you must acquitte - does seem more apropos for this case.
Thankfully the judicial system was wise. I watched one of the videos of the case posted here and behaved much like someone watching a favorite sport - NO!...foul, rubbish, SERIOUSLY?? Very glad to see common sense prevail Thanks for the update!
Thanks for this info - did he say how long til approval in his opinion?
Did Santa clause come this morning? Ye-haw!
Eb0 - just saved this to my notes Enlightening - thanks for sharing.
Thank you 4 our - I'm waiting for angel number 11.11
OMG that's me!!! Lol
Wookie - I originally had hopes for a beach, then a beach house, then a pirate ship, but now I would just like a paddle board and beach rental.
Patiently waiting, I haven't been following, but I still own shares - what angel numbers or magical numbers have I missed?
I think I'm late to this poll teknuloof, but yes, I still have confidence, call me crazy
U by you guys YY guy YY hhph guy that I YY the UT y
TekNuLoof, sounds like a plan! In all likelihood, I will be the smallest, least loud, powerpuff stockholder of the group, BUT, I do have quite an effective impatient foot tapping that even coaxes my street lamp to flicker AND on occasion shut-off
Who would buy them at almost $18? Perhaps someone wanting an early start to the dividend collection run-up? I noticed a similar pattern last quarterly dividend- though, it seems to be maybe a week or two early?
Cheynew - I'm briefly reading your post on this 24b-2 , during lunch, do you have further insight on this? It looks like it pertains to a 2010 8k?
Is the company starting another phase 3 NCSLC trial?
Just found this article posted today : http://www.beaconchronicle.com/2016/04/01/insider-activity-of-the-stock-for-investors-peregrine-pharmaceuticals-nasdaqpphm/
What I found interesting was this part at the end "The company?s lead immunotherapy candidate, bavituximab, which is in Phase III development stage for the treatment of previously-treated non-small cell lung cancer along with various investigator-sponsored trials evaluating other treatment combinations and additional oncology indications."
I know everyone most likely will think I'm nuts on this issue, but I think the pre and post market activity is from a benevolent group trying to send a message. I bought back some more shares after the price dropped down this morn and I'm thinking I'm either a glutton for punishment or more hopefully, about to recoup some of my losses.
CP, I was just rereading your posts and looking specifically on what actually caused the pps drop after the Nasdaq halt. Is it possible that while the Nasdaq halt occurred 100 million of the market cap was pulled out of the market and if so why and can it be returned in the same manner? I guess I don't understand why the market cap went from 200m to 100m immediately after the halt and has remained this way based on the first low ask after the halt.
Snippet of one of your earlier posts after the sunrise halt:
"And actually the PPS was brought down in the first minutes because of how the quoting system works after a NASDAQ Halt and before Time & Sales (Trading) resumed. Someone was first in putting in a Low Ask and as a consequence all Bids, not allowed to cross the market, had to be below it."
This is the part of your post I'm trying to understand because I never thought the market cap could drop to 100 M even on negative sunrise news due to cash on hand, revenue of avid, and the value of their 145 world wide patents. Yet here we sit with a 94 M market cap, 21% less than our actual stockholder equity.
Krakonos- helpful hint - don't sleep in the titanium vault where you keep your pphm shares - get a pillow top latex bed Glad to see you back!
Looks like it moved to .3750 I think it was .2020 this morn - I'm not sure this indicates anything since we use to see spreads of .01- 199,999.99 premarket.
Cheynew- I liked reading the articles you posted earlier - seeing a completely neutral party indicating that PPHM is undervalued gave me a bit of courage to buy back a few more shares today
A neutral party seeing pphm pps price appreciation potential? That's novel. The article seems bullish and educational, yet, interesting disclosure, "We have no position in PPHM and have not been compensated for this article. "
Just for fun -yesterday's aftermarket stock volume code reading - while waiting to leave work
725 Nevada
5653 gold or high value
10864 bull run
Total 17242 reimbursement
... Or my wishful thinking
"almost sure someone is building a LARGE to VERY LARGE PPHM position to do exactly what I once described. Shelf a MAX of shares, then make a bid on the remaining ones at higher and very acceptable prices" How can someone do this without triggering the poison pill?... unless it's either the company buying or an already agreed merger/ acquisition?
Hmm, do you mean a merger between halo and pphm?
I had a funny thought on those shares ... Perhaps, someone trying to convey a message? 714 is showing up as an area code for Tustin, 35681 shows up as a green card petition for a poultry cutter, but it's denied, 16671 shows up as national and commercial space program - maybe a moonshot clue, and I don't have time to figure out what the rest might mean, if anything, lol I googled codes, U.S. Codes and ca codes with the number of shares shown in after hours on the Nasdaq website- going by the weird after hour 101 trades we were seeing before
Thanks ex and North for the replies - at work - will digest later
Perhaps that will be the next pr - Bavi as part of the quilt moonshot - would be nice!
JQ "Ph2 trial in 2nd line NSCLC had >40% Asians on 3mg/kg arm" - the control arm had 28.8% Asian and bavi 3mg had 43.9% Asian and the control arm had 35% Ecog 0 (healthier patients) vs the bavi 3mg arm which had only 19.5% Ecog 0. And the control arm had only 12.5% ecog2 (un healthier patients) vs bavi 3mg which had twice as many at 24.4% Ecog 2 . So in this regard, the healthier patient population was skewed in favor of the control arm. Perhaps the Ecog 2 group was the biggest factor in the drop outs? The bavi 3mg Ecog 0 had a mos of 17.3 vs the control arm ecog0 which had a mos of 12.1 (at least that's how I read this poster- Asco 2013) and yet I see no info breaking out Ecog to dropouts nor a poster of Ecog to race. Further, with 56.1% of the patients in the 3mg not being Asian and 43.9% of the of the 3mg arm being in the United States - I don't see how you can conclude that the 17.3 mos vs the 12.1 mos was attributed to a high Asian population in the phase 2 study. And 12% 1/8 in the ecog0 bavi 3 was still alive at 25 months vs 0% in the control.
I Probably Need coffee - but my conclusion is, it was the bavi 3mg and the Ecog level that had the biggest impact on extended life in the phase 2, good morn.
Is it possible that there is an ongoing investigation, since the phase 2 issues, now looking into the control arm anomaly?
Thanks for the clarification
Why is PPHMP down today - when holders at the end of day receive a dividend - meanwhile pphm is finally moving up a bit? Happy to see the price move on pphm, but what us up with the preferred side?
Vinmantoo - I think speculation sometimes becomes fact in one's mind. Some, including myself, are speculating that management's expectations were a mos of 14 based on the 17 mos in the Bavi 3mg ECOG 0 arm for phase 2 and previous comments on expectations being a 4 month improvement to previous published numbers of 10 mos for doce. Management stated that Bavi was meeting expectations and in a previous cc I believe it was stated the Bavi arm needed to beat the control arm by two months. Ergo, if they weren't beating the control arm and were meeting expectations - we are speculating that the control arm is coming in around 12 mos - which would meet the dramatically improved verbiage in the press release. What could cause this? Is it possible that control arm patients were routed to other treatments and how could patients be routed in a double blind study - is it possible haca tests were given (learned about this from reading the outstanding class action) true all speculation, but I will assume people are currently investigating.
"why over 300k shares traded at open 7.5% above yesterday's close when they probably could have got filled at $0.40... "
Um - is this true? If so, maybe someone in the know bought shares - but perhaps there is some agreement that certain parties have to buy above current price by a certain percentage that are in this knowledgeable group? Speculation, but otherwise it seems odd.
