That's excellent news. I wasn't trying to be negative or bash. I actually picked up more shares right after the PR came out this morning. I did however hope to spark a little DD conversation. Thanks for both replies.
I think what needs to be discussed here is the realities of a reverse split vs. buy back. I personally invested in the company because one of the statements made by Frank Olsen was that there would never be a reverse stock split ( I am trying to find that on the web but am having trouble so if anyone has a think and can post it ).
Based on the recent PR how much cash do they have to do a buy back? If not enough they may need to reverse to get this price up. Any thoughts?
Yes YES YES!! This will be what pushes the Strat into the Stratosphere! I would get it today if available!!! Hurry please! Once the blinders are off it's going to be a cat/dog/hen fight!

No mystery man - just a ceo from an engineering firm in Ohio.
Yes, I got the same 'dumb' responses. I sent about 5 links and then part of the header board here. The first link was to the pinksheet form filings and the last 10q. He didn't even read it as his next email came back in about 4mins.
As a matter of fact his emails smelled/sounded suspiciously like a board basher so I said good luck in life, have a nice day.
It is really sad though that start up company's have such a bad rap and get all this negative press, naked shorting (possibly), shorting, sleazy firms etc. I know there have been alot of scams and scandals but not just on the pinks/OTC. I mean I invest in pennies because I like the ideas and products companies have to offer and also the potential for high reward.
Not sure if my original post got deleted, and if so why?, but here is my reply from Mr. Jayson.
Seems we got his attention and now we wants someone to do his research for him. I will at least send him the link to the release from Tim after the NYP debacle.

Lots of GTE fans out there have been complaining about my characterization of the stock as "speculative."
Tell you what, you tell me what it is about GTE's profitability (negative after COGS, predicted to remain that way for the future) that makes it anything less than speculative.
Convince me, and I'll write all about it.

SJayson,
You unjustly make note of several companies in your article "CAFE Makes Investors Sick".
Specifically, Globetel Communications. It is completely unjustified that GTE is noted in your article as you provide no details, facts, figures or updates to what the company is today.
I am amazed. When I went to school and had to write a paper we had to research it and back up our claims. Your article is the same as me saying that "Mr. Brown who lives on my street got caught stealing so therefore Mr. Smith, Mrs. Thompson and Mr. Jayson must surely be thieves as I've suspected them for a long time." Sounds ridiculous and a little like a lynching. I wonder on your motives.
It is articles like this one why I never trust, or read the Motley fool if I can help it. The name says it all.
Well that's interesting but I think it is approved for the US now.

Then there is ...
http://www.impactlab.com/modules.php?name=News&file=article&sid=4703
I knew that a german company a couple years back was experimenting with satallite connection by having a 'dish' on the plane. Not sure what happened. I think it was Lufthansa maybe that had the contract but am not sure.
Not sure of the validity of this site but there is some mention...

Would the strat be able to service commercial airplanes enroute with DSL type internet access to passengers on board?
Thanks Rock.
Just speculation here but since the shuttle landed landed at Edwards 25mins. ago I was thinking that it is good that NASA is on the Strat. side from the get go as I would imagine in the future what with x number of Strats in the air NASA needs to know where etc. Any thoughts?
Thanks, sorry about that Rock. Wasn't sure which board until after I thought about it for a second.
Not much movement. I hope they give some of those laser keyboards away so they get in the hands of people to try.
Squid,
I'm just so confused why you would even argue an other side.
Having every 'Joe' shareholder write their broker
and say NO to share lending. IT costs no money and little
time and even if it doesn't help then you take that issue out of the debugging process. I too, REALLY REALLY REALLY urge everyone to pass the word and then we move on.
I think everyone just wants it to be fair. That is, the stock valuation and trading. Naked and/or shorting just isn't fair to the average person trying to invest in companies that they believe in and want to support.
Squ1,
Hmmm, been suspicious of you for awhile now.
Maybe our plan to 'restrict' our shares to not be lended is working some or has some people concerned. Hmmm, (rub chin, rub chin) hmmmm.
Awesome! About time. That product is the reason I bought into this company. Notice though that it is back ordered 4-6weeks so not sure what the consumers will say bout it. Great idea though.
Got this from my brother...

Good strat mention, (No GlobeTel)
Socal,
Take a chill dude!
"Me thinks thou doth protest too much"!
Lowtrade,
Are you for hire? I would like to recoup my 45%+ loss in two weeks and stay in long again. I'll give you a percentage and also sign a 'no blame' agreement. I need to be shown how to read the charts rather than just look at them and read a post.
Actually I think there are alot left. Everyone is so inet savy now that having a .net or .?? isn't as bad as it was.
Also having a www.whatever.con/mr-geronimo doesn't leave you in the lurch as everyone gets to websites by links.
Good luck, glad to hear about it.
Mr.
I don't know you but I assume you are a good guy but domain claims are so passe and not very classy. I bet you can do better.
Ike
No that won't. Most brokerage accounts when set up will default to set up as 'cash'. But, to be sure, call your broker and tell them you want your account type as "cash" and also tell them that you do not want your shares to be "borrowed" (ie. shorted). In some cases I have read that it is necessary to say this. I also think that for it to really hold this needs to be done in writing and sent to the firm. (ie. Ameritrade, Etrade, whomever)
Bugzie5 - I urge you to note this on your site to encourage all those share holders to do the same. It may make a difference in the number of shares being shorted!
There was a reverse split? When?
rdwud,
Although I appreciate your thoughts and facts I do want to throw in my two cents on your VoIP comments.
First of all Skype is P2P VoIP. That is peer-to-peer and requires that your caller also have the Skype software.
That being said, Skype, which was created by two of the same guys that created KaZaa (one of the most successful P2P packages to proliferate the spyware/adware epidemic) is free unless you want to call a landline etc. But the also want to hook you in.
Nothing is free. You will get adware, spyware, add-ons etc. etc from any of these guys. The problem here is that Vonage, for the most part, has a lock right now on the market. Why not take it else where and make profits for five years.
My understanding of Globetels VoIP is in the switches and routers which don't have to wait for the packets to organize in order to give much better, cleaner, realtime voice.
I say it's a good decision.
Try,
Start->Run->Cmd
ping www.qtelevision.com or ping 66.245.189.128
or try
tracert 66.245.189.128
and follow the path to see where you get hung up.
Thanks for the input SPokes.
Thanks M for taking the time. I am just confused how they pick a stock to do this to. What do they look for and how are they making money day in and day out. IT seems clever on one hand but also pretty low life. Are they getting jolly's or actually making alot of money and how. I have no respect even it is clever.
m,
So how did they control it exactly?
Funny I bought more yesterday.
Malebaboon,
What do you mean 'reveal' their existence?
Is what your saying is that they 'borrowed' shares from a brokerage to buy and sell and their fear is that more buyers will root them out (ie. they don't own the shares to cover)and more sellers mean they are flushed out of the bushes so to speak? Just trying to understand more.
So, the people shorting are buying and selling at the same time or working with each other to keep it level? It's not simple IMHO as I am trying to understand it. I understand shorting is legal in some senses but naked shorting on OTC/Pinks is not. It really isn't fair when an average investor is doing their DD and it makes it really hard for a company to get going.
So can a non-basher explain what may have happened today in basic terms? I see there was over 1 billion in volume and the price stayed relatively the same as the open.
How is this done exactly? What actually happens?
Serious1,

rtb,
Thanks. I called just to make sure my account was "cash".
The APEX gentleman on the phone Mike F. said that it was and unless it had be designated in writing to be a "margin" account it would not be. I am still going to triple check.
rtb,
Thanks I will call and I will ALSO request it in writing and urge all others to do so in writing!
Sputnik,
Paid basher?
rtb,
What number did you use to call Ameritrade?
In addition: This was a great PR. I also hope that we hear about some action being taken against the NY Post and or Mr. Byron. I would like to see Globetel inform us and do this as message to the would be naysayers/reporters in the future to report the FACTS!
To all individual investors, the following was taken from a PR from GlobeTel Communications Corp. Timothy Huff, Chief Executive Office. I hope there is not a problem copy and reposting it here but I believe it to be of great value and can help what is going on today.
...
"shorts" have been able to get "borrow" on our shares due to shareholders who hold their shares in accounts other than "cash" accounts at their brokerage firms. When they hold them in other types of accounts, (margin, even though they did not margin the shares), the brokerage firm will often, without the knowledge or consent of the true owner, "rent" the shares to those that desire to "short" the shares. This is legal and they can cover their sale with the shares that they "rented" from the brokerage firm. The brokerage firm charges a fee to these borrowers and that is a profit center for them. The only way to combat this, is to instruct, in writing, that your shares be held in a "cash" account.
Everyone please contact your brokerage firm asap.
Excellent! Awesome, awesome! This is a great piece of communication. I have been waiting for something like this.
I will contact and write my broker now to ensure that my holdings are in "cash".
