Double Bottom?
From Stockcharts:Double Bottom (Reversal)
The double bottom is a major reversal pattern that forms after an extended downtrend. As its name implies, the pattern is made up of two consecutive troughs that are roughly equal, with a moderate peak in-between.

SG, That entire video was shown at the "unveiling" in San Bernardino back in 2005. I have a poor copy of it that I shot with my 8mm video camera when I was there. It would have been nice to see something new, but I'll take anything at this point.

Solar Powered Airships "LOTTE 1 - 3"
1. Introduction
Airships produce their lift by buoyancy which results in specific properties. Because air is very light, big volumes are needed to create enough buoyancy to lift the airship into air. The ratio between envelope volume (i. e. lift) and envelope surface (i.e. drag) becomes better the greater the airship is. That means, it becomes more difficult, the smaller the airship is. Flying with solar power is one possible solution while searching for ecological alternatives within some areas of air traffic. The large surface area of the airship envelope is a good location for installing solar cells to produce solar power. Because the energy density of solar power is very low, the whole design of the airship must be highly efficient. The historic design concepts of rigid or non-rigid airships are not in a position to create such small airships as wanted. Rigid airships have great disadvantages based on the high structural weight, non-rigid airships are unable to produce such a high internal pressure with less energy available as needed to stabilize the envelope.
2. History
A group of students, scientists, and teachers was formed in late 1991 and managed the maiden flight with the airship called "Lotte 1" about 20 months later. With this airship, basic experiences were made for design and flight characteristics. Unfortunately, the airship was destroyed in a special designed hangar during a strong thunderstorm in summer 1993. The airship was reconstructed with some small changes in the following 6 weeks. Lotte 2 has mainly less structural weight, a new envelope and new fins. The payload increases up to 8 kg (Lotte 1: approx. 1-2 kg). In november 1993 it took part in the World Solar Challenge in Australia and flew about 330 km within four days. On the fourth day, the radio control system interfered with the ILS-localizer of a nearby military airport, ground control was lost and the internal safety system starts with a descent, which ended in a tree. Based on the strong tail wind (10 - 15 kn) the airship was severely damaged and it was impossible to repair in the australian bush. Lotte 3 was constructed using almost the same structural components but a new electronic system with an advanced radio.control. The energy conversing system, i.e. solar generator and batteries are now in a modular design, which makes possible to increase the maximum payload up to 12 - 15 kg, based on flight demands. Lotte 3 has finished the flight tests for certification in 1994, final work for certification will be finished in summer 1995.
3. Demands and Technical Realization
The new design for this airship is carried out on the basis of a six-degree-of freedom flight simulations of the airship using data from wind tunnel tests at the University of Stuttgart. Following some of the design features for this airship: quasi-rigid structure ultra lightweight airship envelope (80 g/m2) pusher propeller with vertcal-axis thrust vector electronic control of main system parameters, connected with a data down-link to ground station integration of solar cells in the airship envelope
3.1 Structure
Lotte is build on the basis of a qasi rigid structure. This means, it is a mixture of stabilizing with internal pressure as blimps and structural elements as Zeppelins. Structural elements are used in those areas of the envelope, where the low internal pressure (200 Pa) is unable to create enough tension to carry design loads. Also external wires for stabilizing fins are not allowed due to higher drag. So the stern part of the airship was the greatest design problem. For certification it was shown that the airship was able to withstand the aerodynamic loads at 65 km/h, angle of attack of 30° (rudders full deflected) and inertia forces of 4g. For the fins, this results in an average load of 24,5 kg/m2. The internal pressure is stabilized by the two ballonets, which also are used for static trim. Pressure is created by an electrical blower and measured electronical. The pressure control system manages the internal pressure and the trim demands of the pilots.
3.2 Envelope
The envelope material is a compound foil of the well known materials Tedlar as outer skin and Mylar as gas barrier film. The different parts of the envelope are sticked together. Although the envelope is extremely thin (50 µm), the structural characteristices are very good.
3.3 Propulsion
The pusher propeller with an electronic commutated motor serves as airship drive. The propeller is special developed and built in a fiber-reinforced construction. The motor is able to change rotational direction and this allows to create reverse thrust. The motor-propeller combination can be turn around a vertical axis, which is steered directly by the pilot and increases maneuverability at low flying speeds.
3.4 Electronic
The electronical part of the airship gets its power from the 90V main batteries and solar generator, voltage changed to 7,2V and 12V by step-down units. During design, high attention was focused on electro-magnetic-digestibility. The 7,2V circuit is only used for the energy needs of the rudder actuators and the thrust vector actuator. The 12V-circuit is used for data transmission inside the airship and via down-link to ground station. The radio-control system has two uplink lines at different frequencies (35 Mhz and 435 Mhz). For controlling the airship, only one uplink must work, which increases the safety enormous. Status of the receivers is send down to the ground station together other system data as internal pressure, solar power, engine current, engine temperature and system voltages, which helps to anticipate dangerous conditions.
3.5 Photovoltaic Generator
The technical reqirements for the photovoltaic modules can be summarized as follows:
high area related power (W/m2)
high mass related power (W/kg)
mechanical flexibility and
weather-proof.
Conventional PV modules in glass/ glass or Glass/ plastic technolgy with crystalline solar cells achieve values up to 150 W/m2 or up to 16 W/kg. Recently announced developments for amorphous silicon solar cell films promise better solutions for the power/mass ratio (200 W/kg). An approach in order to meet all requirements is the realization of ultra lightweight crystalline silicon foil modules which achieve in the final stage values of 160 W/m2 and 81 W/kg peak output.
In order to determine the properties regarding mechanical flexibility several static and dynamic load tests have been carried out with samples of embedded solar cells. For the static load test a line load was applied to module samples. The minimal bend radius was found to be approx. 250 mm. Modules can be exposed to rapid changes during flight operation, therefore further dynamic load tests have been carried out. Embedded solar cells were deflected for several millions of loading cycles. All dynamic laod tests started with an initial stress due to deflection of the solar cell of 1 mm (solar cell width: 100 mm). Then maximal deflection was increased in 0.5 mm steps after millions of load cycles each time. Frequency was varied between 20 Hz and 30 Hz. After twelve million load cycles without any negative effect maximal deflection was adjusted in the critical break range of 6mm and again power values vs. load cycles were collected. After fifteen thousand laod cycles a power reduction of 50% could be observed. Following analysis of electrical behavioir of foil modules with broken solar cells showed significant decrease of the fill factor, but there was no electrical failure.
3.6 Batteries
Lead acid batteries are wide spreaded and relatively cheap but with a poor energy density. An additional disadvantage is the loss of capacity due to their high internal resistance if they are discharged within a few hours or even less. Ni-Cd accumulators have a higher capacity per mass and are quick rechargeable abd dischargeable due to their small inernal resistance. A new development are Nickel-Hydrid Cells (Ni-MH) with a 50 to 100% higher energy density compared to Ni-Cd cells but with a higher internal resistance again. Therefore they are useful if the discharging time is longer than one hour. Another type of secondary battery is silver-zinc which are used in satellites and for world record flights with electrical powered radio-controlled airplanes. They have a very high energy density are very expensive. Beside this they survive only a few charging cycles. Therefore they remain for special applications. For airship batteries the following criteriia are valid:
high mass related capacity
fast rechargeable to achieve short turnaround times
high discharge current (10 Ic) with low capacity reducing factor
position independent
highly reliable
The best compromise for small airships are Ni-Cd accumulators. The mass per energy content of such a battery is around 22 kg/kWh (Ordinary fuel: 0.05 kg/kWh). Nevertheless one should keep in mind that the efficiency of a internal combustion engine is much poorer and that for long endurance a certain amount of fuel has to be carried enclosing problems with static heaviness or lightness of the airship. The big advantage of the solar-electrical system is that during the whole day operation is possible without any change in the airship mass.
4. Operation
Due to the small size of the airship operation is more flexible than typical for greater airships. To increase this advantage, a special trailer was designed, eith which the airship is street-transportable without deflating the envelope. As start and landing area a football site has sufficient dimensions. Time for building up to get ready for take-off is less than two hours.
4.1 Flight tests
For certification, intensive work on flight test was made. Main aspects were:
showing excellent maneuverability
checking redundance concept of radio-control system
test for electronics (pressure control, safety system, down-link)
data aquisition for flight manual
checking energy economy
During the World Solar Challenge in Australia 1993, the longest non-stop distance flown was 130 km in 6:10h. The highest ground speed reached during this event was more than 70 km/h (explained by tail wind). The conditions during this flight were extreme with temepratures up to 45 °C (115 °F) and a humidity rate of more than 90%. This results in an extreme loss of static lift (-10%). Strong thermal gusts with vertical veleocities of more than 7 m/s (20ft/sec) are typical for Australia. The flight tests with Lotte 3 in 1994 allowed to install a data aquisition system to get more flight data, as airspeed, height, vertical veleocity etc. It was shown that the area needed for take-off and landing over a 20ft obstacle is smaller than 40 x 30m. To enlarge the range, Lotte 3 is piloted by two different people, one at the takeoff point and the other at the operational area. They keep in contact with walkie-talkies. Due to the advanced electronics, only 4 people are reqired to operate the airship: pilot, flight engineer supervising datas from telemtry, two ground crew members.
Now, the airship is in commercial operation for the company "Airship Technologies GmbH", Stuttgart in Germany. Future developments were made in close co-operation with the University of Stuttgart.

Vern, Lifing Gas Technology vs GAS CONTAINMENT AND MANAGEMENT SYSTEM. It sounds like two different names for the same thing to me.
Like what?
Nope, not new, and they still haven't let us know if it makes any money.
Looks a lot like Nov/Dec 04'. Beartrap. They get so caught up in themselves, they forget that it can go the other way.
Lowtrade, Does this mean, 'Game On' ?

wildfalls, You said: "The fact the Co. floated a blimp 2 yrs. after Huff had people go to Cal. for a "test flight" that never happened, might also be considered a bit reckless?"
I went to SanBernardino. I was disappointed, but it did fly a couple of weeks later. I guess it was determined that the new shape wasn't going to work or it was going to cost too much to use as a prototype. Two years later they are flying a completely different ship with a tried & true design. A more practical approach.

A question for the T/A people out there. If we hit the .23/.25 range in the next couple of days would it be fair to say that we would have a double bottom? If so, how fast does a reversal usually occur?
Squ1dk1d, Where's the T/A guru when you need one?
trunkmonk, Exactly. First & foremost, I hope he knows what he is doing. But, since we apparently could not afford to pay Searfross to be our mouthpiece, Jones had to do the talking.
I am just hoping that the person talking doesn't remind me of Elmer Fudd. His public speaking ability says nothing about his engineering abilities. It just looked bad. IMO
Rich
sami1327, I had missed that post.
Checked it out just now. That is what I was hoping to hear about Murch.
Thanks for the play by play.
Rich
sami1327, I don't have access to the canadian discovery show.
Can you tell me if Murch seems like a very capable individual?
I am hoping that he is a better speaker than Bob Jones was.

This quote is from a April,06' article. It doesn't sound like Globetel is being referenced as a potential Raytheon customer. It sounds like they want what Globetel has to offer.
Frank R. Prautzsch, director of network centric systems in Raytheon’s Rapid Initiatives Group in Marlborough, Mass., said Raytheon has looked at Sanswire’s system and thinks it shows promise.
“Raytheon is indeed interested in near space and the abilities that platforms such as Sanswire’s offer to future missions,” Prautzsch said. “This is particularly true in wireless communications, C2 [command and control] sensors and meteorological systems as they relate to defense and homeland security missions. Near space offers great opportunities for space and aerospace technology convergence.”
http://www.space.com/spacenews/archive06/Sans_040306.html
And then there is this blurb from another article. This quote seems to be made by the author of the article though and there is no mention of the source.
Raytheon is also lending tentative support to Sanswire, and Sanswire has not taken or awarded any support from the support. There are a variety of documents on the web however that show the support that they are receiving in discussions from the top officers who are responsible for these initiatives.

Does anybody know what happens when a company does not beat an SEC investigation? I was under the impression that there would be some kind of a fine (Since everything is about money) and that would be about it.
Or does the SEC take it upon itself to put the offending company out of business?
Usually, the market just wants to see an end to such things, period.
Rich
Justfrank, Could you please repost Wizetradr's chart on the T/A board. I would really like to see it.

Yeah, I got so scared that I added to my position today.
"but of course...millions of shares have been sold by insiders since August 2005..."
You want to show me those sales.
Yeah...I didn't think you could
I just noticed that on the weekly chart the 20MA has turned up. Every time in the past that it has turned (in either direction) it has continued for a pretty long while. This could be the beginning of our trend.
Rich
30K testbed vehicle. Nobody ever said anything about loiter time with this ship. you need a larger volume of helium for 60k. Maybe Vern can ellaborate. This ship will do what is needed for now.
Oh, that makes sense.
Looks like we have a little triangle penetration.
I would expect a follow up PR on monday with results.
Squ1dk1d, Is it also true that small & micro caps tend to trade counter to the general market? looks like the Dow,Naz & S&P are showing some top heavyness today.
Rich
Squ1dk1d, Where do you see next support? I would think that .31 being the low on the initial retrace from the .72 high would be an important support level. We better get something going if February is still going to be GTEM's month.
"This feels like a steak in the heart to gte(m) investors"
Squid, I hope you meant "Stake". They never killed vampires with T-bone's. LOL
Buy when they're scared to death. Sell when they're tickled to death.
Rich
The Scottrade "Buy" restriction has been lifted! Any word on Etrade? Anybody?
It's hard to get any traction on a stock that people have to call in orders. Maybe now we will get some positive action.
Rich
Lowtrade, Have you stated in the past that, when the ADX gets this low you can expect an explosive move in one direction or the other? What are you seeing? Thanks
Rich
Buys are still restricted on Scottrade. Any word on Etrade?
Rising 50DMA at .38 now on the daily and holding like a champ.
Rich
squ1dk1d, I know it's early but, are you still expecting a test of the 2000 high of $15?
Rich
f16falcon4me, I have 2 accounts. Ameritrade will allow buys & sells. Scottrade will allow only sells. You have to call and talk to them directly to place a buy order.
Rich
Doc, I have the 50MA at .37. Looks ok so far. Looks even better now.
Rich
Does anybody know if internet trading is back online?
The last time this chart had a golden cross, the shareholders got a golden shower.LOL. Still, The chart looks ready to rumble this time around.

Wize, Glad to see you back here. You guys make some great calls here on this board.
Could you give me your opinion on RMBS? The price just touched down on a rising 20ma on the weekly. Also, it had a high volume break to the upside in November and has now consolidated. I think it's a buy. Am I reading this right. Thanks, Rich
T/A first: The Strat launch got us a high volume bounce off of the bottom of the chart, smashing the downtrend line. I believe the earnings report will be the driver behind a continued climb.
Here is my reasoning. Every other earnings report has had nothing but Centerline's spend a dollar to make a dollar. This will be the first time that there are other contributors to the bottom line. Vozbrasil, iligue & Stratevoip are all new revenue streams. Also, If Centerline really started making 350 g's per month profit. That would be a big help as well.
The Magic Money & Stratellite drains were always there. So that will be nothing new, but, the stock market looks at the future, not the past and we know that the Magic Money drain has come to an end.
I gave my cleaning lady the Vozbrasil website. She is now using it and claims it is saving her a lot of money. I am sure that she has told friends and family about it.
Isn't anybody curious how this company is continuing operations without funding. Money has to be coming from somewhere...and it still doesn't grow on trees.
Bear Trap???
