Well, I took the opportunity to average down.....
Yeah, thats sad !!!! Hopefully today looks better than yesterday !!!! Not for the rest of the market though. Looks like banks and financial's are going to take a big hit..I think SOIS is looking better and better to me !!! Might buy more !!
Yes, it was exciting to see the price fly ! It WAS at .39 at the end, then last minute sale went through @ .35 for closing price.
LOOKIN' GOOD !!!! Hopefully this is the turn around point and we can get back to where we were several months ago.
I'm thinking the same thing......
Yeah, Operator, we need 'MO' money !! I think we all are hoping for some sort of 'revival' of Hrct. It would be nice. I can't think of any other company who has fought so hard to stay alive !!
You ARE talking about the price of a barrel of oil aren't you?? lol lol lol......
ANYONE have access to the "Bellweather Report" that gave an analysis on SOIS on Friday afternoon? Under the news section of IHUB, it says that www.bellweatherreport.com gave a report. I was wondering if it was good? Sort of looks like it was !
WELL, with the price of oil reaching an all time high this week, I'm thinking that I will take my chances on SOIS... bought a little more today. Good luck all....
I've had SOIS on my 'watch list' for a while and almost bought in during the 'frenzy' but waited it out. Bought some yesterday. Couldn't resist and they have a LOT going on. Good luck all.
I would say that the PPS is still suffering from the negative article written 2 weeks ago ! Looks like it will take time to heal that wound !! (just my thoughts!)
SOIS isn't the first company to have a negative article written about it, and it won't be the last. If it keeps up with its goals, it will rebound fairly quick. Sure missed a BUYING opportunity though !!
WoW. glad I missed all the arguing yesterday! Nice to see all the activity though ! You do have to admit that Hrct keeps on truckin'... If one thing doesn't work, they move on. Better than QUITTING I guess !
SOIS reaffirms their standings today:
Striker Oil & Gas Reiterates Its Reserves of More Than $20,000,000 as of December 2007
8:30a ET June 17, 2008 (Business Wire)
Striker Oil & Gas, Inc. (OTCBB:SOIS) announced today that its reserves were more than $20 million on December 31, 2007 and its future revenues are in excess of $45 million. This amounts to approximately $1.00 per share in reserves and $2.00 per share in future revenues based upon approximately 20 million shares outstanding. The table below shows the actual numbers as filed with the Securities and Exchange Commission on its December 31, 2007 annual report.
Years Ended December 31, ---------------------------------------------------------- 2007 2006 2005 -------------- ----------- ----------- Future revenues $ 45,263,031 $ 8,648,373 $ 905,449 Future production costs (9,489,548) (2,090,738) (417,978) Future development costs (3,448,866) (1,814,768) (17,985) -------------- ----------- ----------- Future net cash flows 32,324,617 4,742,867 469,486 10% discount (11,842,377) (1,000,745) (51,881) -------------- ----------- ----------- Standardized measure of discounted future net cash relating to proved reserves $ 20,482,240 $ 3,742,122 $ 417,605 ============== =========== ===========
These figures do not take into account the recent wells that have been drilled and the increase in the price of oil & gas since December 31, 2007. In addition, Striker has scheduled numerous wells that are to be drilled in the 3rd fiscal quarter and if successful will also add substantially to its reserve base and future revenues.
"These year-end amounts do not reflect the tremendous upside that we believe is possible through a successful drilling program on our development prospects," said Kevan Casey, Chief Executive Officer of Striker, "Striker is committed to exploiting its existing properties as well as seeking new potential prospects to add to its growing portfolio of properties."

Yes, quite a mess from the article... but I see that sois is doing some 'damage control' with their latest PR. If you believe in the company, well, now is your chance to buy !!
HERE's the STORY....
Newsletter's boost for tiny oil-and-gas stock strikes out
1:27a ET June 13, 2008 (MarketWatch)
BOSTON (MarketWatch) -- Combine a "veteran newsletter writer" and his "top energy pick for 2008" and you have the kind of hype that can move a tiny stock.
Chances are, however, that you've also created a Stupid Investment of the Week.
That's precisely what happened with Striker Oil & Gas Inc. , a Houston-based company that was the subject of a recent "complimentary report" (translation: junk-mail circular) for David L. Smith's Cyclical Investing newsletter.
Since the piece started arriving in investor's mailboxes during the second week of June, the stock has seen a big pop, and now appears to have started the inevitable post-hype fallback.
But unless someone was trying to play the hype, Striker was a bad idea when investors got the newsletter and learned of it, and it's an even worse proposition today.
Stupid Investment of the Week highlights the concerns and characteristics that make a security less than ideal for the average consumer; it is written in the hope that showcasing trouble in one situation will make problems easy to uncover elsewhere.
Striker, an OTC Bulletin Board stock with a $6 million market value, buys oil and gas properties with an eye towards making them more productive through the use of "modern developmental techniques."
Smith describes Striker in the flyer as "my most undervalued energy stock in the market," talks about revenue growth of 300% per year
Totally Agree Operator!!
Bar, I said "I'm hoping" its a done deal....
Operator.. I'm hoping that the language they used in the press release "DEFINATIVE AGREEMENT' means that its a done deal
Rattlesnake, I don't believe we have paid any 3.4 million yet. Here is the info from the news release...
The restricted common shares issued for the Acquisition will be released to previous shareholders of Beijing Yanyuan in three installments based on the profit realized over a three-year period.
