SSYS negative EPS?
As a relatively new investor, I have been looking to establish a position in the 3D printing market because it seems like the perfect opportunity to do so.
This company is attractive for many reasons however the negative EPS is throwing me off. I'm with scottrade, and when I see the summary for SSYS it is about -.58 I believe.
Thoughts? Comments? Why is it negative EPS with such a high PPS?
Hey,
so I don't really know how this applies to what I said. The Mac D is downtrending??
From my experience the stock chart follows the mac D 99.99% of the time.
Which chart are you looking at because if you look at the 5 year mac d chart, the stock is definitely downtrending and will continue. But if you you look at the 1 year chart then yeah, there might be a little bump up. Possibly.
This message for Experienced Investors:
I am thinking about holding a long term position with this company and wanted to know outside opinions on this analysis.
(Equity):
- On average the equity/shares outstanding has been increasing by 56.5% (It is uptrending)
- Quarterly you are looking at an average increase of 10.62%
(Earnings):
- On 11/10/2014, DDD reported 3 quarter 2014 earnings of $0.18 per share. This result beat the $0.17 consensus of the 21 analysts. Unfortunately this result was down by 31% compared to last years earnings for Q3
(Net Income):
-(Quarterly) currently uptrending with an average increase of 29%
- (Annually) currently uptrending with an average increase of 438%
(Debt):
- In 2012 DDD's debt was at 88 million, since then this debt has been reduced by 88% leaving it with a little over 9 million in debt.
(Market Cap):
- 354 M compared to SSYS 215 M
(Market Outlook):
According to Gartner, Inc.'s latest forecast. 3D printer shipments will more than double every year between 2015 and 2018, by which time worldwide shipments are forecast to reach more than 2.3 million.
(Summary):
Equity Increasing.
Liabilities are being held down.
Earnings are somewhat stable.
Net Income uptrending annually.
Market Cap is pretty big compared to other higher priced 3DP companys (SSYS)
Market Outlook growth, solid.
3D Systems is the largest 3D printing company in the US right now and offers a wide variety of 3DP products. What I find most appealing about this company is their consumer product line which I think are much more innovative than other 3DP products out there in terms of easy consumer usability.
This company has recently settled down from the hype, and some people are saying the PPS will continue to drop however I think that if it does drop it will quickly recover in 2 years.
Materialise and SGLB agreement:
Does anyone know the details of this agreement or can they provide an appropriate reference?
When is the 4Q earnings report
Highlights from the PR today point towards what was expected:
Initial revenue is expected as early as the fourth quarter of 2014.
EOS M290 3D metal printer, now being integrated with Sigma Labs' PrintRite3D(R) quality assurance system for use in the production of precision metal parts.
Sigma Labs is responding to requests for quotes and anticipates contract manufacturing orders over the next several months.
In addition, we recently took delivery of an EOS M290 machine and are already preparing for prototyping and small lot production of high-precision metal components. The Company will be able to offer contract manufacturing to a variety of industrial companies and further demonstrate our unique software applications to advance the speed, quality and consistency of 3D printing.
The revenue decline year-over-year primarily reflects lower consulting revenue as the Company invests in the transition from services to product sales.
Wow, I mean does anyone see anything positive from this report? This PPS has taken a dramatic dip.
Does anyone know why Sigma Labs is not listed at a technology company but rather as an energy company under the oil and gas sector?
How do I delete aa post
Holding on to this stock has to be one of the hardest things I have done because I know it is going to be successful but there is always fear knocking on the door. I don't know. I mean, if this thing dips, it will dip hard. It's just that this company has done so much to move foward and I feel that these guys are going to get the job done eventually based off of multiple facts. For one, their backgrounds are phenominal and more than appropriate for the job, and two they are just doing a great job in generalby getting their name out there with big manufacturing companies. I mean, who else is doing this kind of work at the level that they are doing it at? They are focused and have a solid team. It's just that this technology is so new that , I think that is the take here. All indicators however, point towards a current shift towards additive manufacturing in the near future. I would say about two to three years but two to three years seems so far away and anything could happen. To be honest you see the apples and the googles and the chipotles but I mean, what is going on here is a chance to be at the precepice of an emerging new era. The chipotle era has begun, the aapl era has begun, google has begun. But I think the real question is do I have what it takes to hold and to be here when the additive manufacturing era begins? I mean I don't even know.....Is that crazy? I feel like you all know what I'm saying...
Future revenue streams for Sigma Labs Inc.
It's been close to two months since the announcement of the release of Printrite3D (IPQA technology). GE has stated that it will use DLMS printers to manufacture their future metal fuel nozzles for their new LEAP engines. I've seen talk and have personally read an article stating that GE is not only planning to open up a manufacturing facility in Auburn, AL for this project but also that they plan to move towards this type of manufacturing process for other future metal components as well.
Sigma labs Inc. previously signed a JDTA (joint development technology agreement) to develop their IPQA technology for the printing of 3D metal components. The CEO of Sigma Labs has also stated that they are ordering a DLSM printer from EOS, the same kind of printer GE has said it will use for their plant in Auburn.
With that said, we are closing in on mid November and December will be over before we know it. Now, me personally...I don't know why but I do not think we will see any sign of contract agreements until early 2015. Somewhere from February to April.
I want to know what other investors think in terms of when they are expecting contract revenues to come in. Even with all the information pointing towards an extreme growth in value for this small company I still remain speculative at best. Granted once the initial contracts begin, strong commercialization of this technology will soon follow.
Are there any investors who have taken the time to contact Sigma Labs to ask what the current status on their EOS printer is looking like? Furthermore, has anyone touched base to find out what the company is planning or doing in terms of commercializing their product?
SGLB and the future of AM in metal processes
This video mostly talks about GE's plans to move towards Additive manufacturing for many of their components of their products and specifically talks about their fuel nozzles for the new leap engines. See link for video below.
Contract with Honeywell for Phase II through Darpa, wouldn't that imply that the product is still being developed? How can it can it still be currently in development but start to be commercialized. Did I miss something here?
The only logic I can follow that confirms that this talk is not speculative is that this company DID sign joint technology development agreements with companies like GE -->( Clients & Development) --> The technology WAS developed as seen with the recent announcement of commercialization initiatives for printrite3D. --> GE has announced that it plans to use AM for future manufacturing processes, articles have stated that AM is the future of manufacturing metal components --> future revenue streams
Ill try to post evidence to support my statements but that about wraps up why things point towards more of a WHEN than an IF.
There is a lot of talk that the company will soon sign contracts with manufacturers like GE and Honeywell in the future but do you guys know if most of that is speculative or guaranteed? Can you provide any hard evidence?
Taking the positive approach of belief is never a bad thing. Any news that your company is moving forward towards meeting its goals is a good sign and if you take it as such I think it makes all difference even if you can't see it immediately.
Everyone knew the commercialization of printrite3d was coming and you can't tell me you didn't get a little bit more enthusiastic about future progress when you saw the PR.
LOA
Sigma labs will break out soon in my opinion and we could even see the PPS double by next week. Positive news is just around the corner and all signs point towards positive press releases coming soon. Hang in there folks the hold will be worth it.
Sglb will have a big breakout either tomorrow or sometime next week. Possibly reaching highs of .25
This company may breakout soon but the question is when?
1.)No one else is developing this kind of software,
2.)Manufacturers need it for their future plans in AM programs.
3.) A few of this company's management members have backgrounds from Los Alamos National Laboratory (Atomic Bomb was developed here)
4.)The company has a good looking balance sheet with no debt and money in the bank increasing.
5.) Revenue has increased on average 35% in the last 4 years
6.) This company has had joint technology development agreements with companies like GE.
I mean, if companies like marijuana stocks and various other companys that no one has heard of can trade at prices of .18 a share I find it very strange that this company with so much "legitamacy" and credibility is still trading at .09 a share.
Either now is the time to load up or get out. There's no denying that holding takes determination.
Does anyone forsee any new press releases coming out anytime soon for this company? They said their printer would be in by the end of October?
Sigma & Materialise Collaboration
Old, but a goodie from April of this year 2014 found on materialise website
http://www.materialise.com/press/materialise-joins-a-new-cooperation-agreement-with-sigma-labs-inc
What is funny, is that the sells are right before the buys. Usually the sells are right before the sells and the buys are right before the buys.
Well, I definitely don't think all these directors and engineers from well know organizations would show up and attend for a "bust" that's for sure.
I mean these guys t Sigma Labs are from Los Alamos National Lab. They are experts on material science and engineering over there not just nationally but globally.
So everytime the stock trys to move up it quickly goes down over the past few days after big news. Is it me or is it kind of wierd? Why. Why and why would someone want to keep it down? I just don't get it. Is this a good sign ?
Do you or any other investory see Sigma Labs Inc, moving to a legitmate stock exchange in the near future?
If so, why have they not moved over yet?
What is the company waiting for?
10/21/2014 - 0pportune_invest0r
Well hell, seeing as they are keeping the price low you'd be foolish not to accumulate and buy more.
What is there to gain by keeping the price low??
Can someone answer my question, and please tell me why this stock continues to be halted. Each time buying ensues, somehow the stock goes down on.
Sigma Labs Inc is delivering on milestones and customers are already rolling in. It's just a matter of time until revenues start to come in. No other company has this technology or is even close to it. These people come from Los Alamos National Laboratory. If you don't know about this Lab, well just know some of the smartest scientist and research are located there.
So can someone please post as to why pricks are keeping this thing from going up? what would they have to gain by selling to keep it down???
