I am thinking about holding a long term position with this company and wanted to know outside opinions on this analysis.
(Equity):
- On average the equity/shares outstanding has been increasing by 56.5% (It is uptrending)
- Quarterly you are looking at an average increase of 10.62%
(Earnings):
- On 11/10/2014, DDD reported 3 quarter 2014 earnings of $0.18 per share. This result beat the $0.17 consensus of the 21 analysts. Unfortunately this result was down by 31% compared to last years earnings for Q3
(Net Income):
-(Quarterly) currently uptrending with an average increase of 29%
- (Annually) currently uptrending with an average increase of 438%
(Debt):
- In 2012 DDD's debt was at 88 million, since then this debt has been reduced by 88% leaving it with a little over 9 million in debt.
(Market Cap):
- 354 M compared to SSYS 215 M
(Market Outlook):
According to Gartner, Inc.'s latest forecast. 3D printer shipments will more than double every year between 2015 and 2018, by which time worldwide shipments are forecast to reach more than 2.3 million.
(Summary):
Equity Increasing.
Liabilities are being held down.
Earnings are somewhat stable.
Net Income uptrending annually.
Market Cap is pretty big compared to other higher priced 3DP companys (SSYS)
Market Outlook growth, solid.
3D Systems is the largest 3D printing company in the US right now and offers a wide variety of 3DP products. What I find most appealing about this company is their consumer product line which I think are much more innovative than other 3DP products out there in terms of easy consumer usability.
This company has recently settled down from the hype, and some people are saying the PPS will continue to drop however I think that if it does drop it will quickly recover in 2 years.
