Another interesting tidbit from the most recent Investor Presentation on Page 15. The claim that a recent Microsoft marketing campaign generated 549,136 "Impressions". Wow, that's remarkable!
Microsoft can tell Sphere3D execs how many "impressions" they got, but according to Sphere President Peter Tassiopoulos during a quarterly call, Microsoft does NOT provide partners with any reports detailing actual client use of Glassware. You may recall PT was asked by an investor how Glassware on Azure was performing, and said he couldn't say because Microsoft did not provide that information.
Sphere Investors are to believe that Microsoft can provide partners with the exact number of Impressions a marketing campaign delivers, but cannot provide the critical system usage, and revenue reporting partners need to run their business!
Am I the only one that finds that tale somewhat incredulous?
You forgot something from the most recent investor presentation: "Containerized native Windows applications, native non-Windows applications and legacy applications in the public cloud, private cloud d(on premise) and hybrid cloud - we believe we are the only company to do so"
Ok, so these guys are still claiming they can do Windows applications. They can do a very limited sub set of Windows apps....woo hoo, so can ALL the big players. But hey, what happened to any app, on any device, in six clicks or less? Oh yeah, Bookman admitted during the Microsoft podcast that was total BS.
And they STILL claim they can do non Windows apps. Yet they have NEVER, NOT ONCE shown any app other than Windows. EVER. And they admitted they can't do Apple (thanks to Peter Bookman and his Microsoft podcast)
And yet, they make these claims and say "we believe we are the only company to do so". One can only assume they either live in a bubble, or cannot read plain English contracts, or did not listen to Bookman and Morelli during the Msft podcast or want to attract more naive investors.
Remember this" After three years of NEVER ONCE demonstrating the capability, and being told they cannot do so legally, and after admitting in a public forum they haven't done it and cannot do it with our violating the third party contracts., they are still making these claims to investors.
That statement was copied verbatim from their most recent Investor Presentation. Yes, "Investor Presentation". Think about that.
Contact TTommy, it seems he is doing just that.
Has it? :)
Offices and director are responsible for false statements and/or fraud. The company could be held liable, as could the individuals. They have insurance.
And they have home etc. Difficult to pursue, yes. Impossible? No
Of course that is a general statement and not intended to be specific to any company.
Where IS OJ today?
Thanks for the chuckles. I see they still claim they can containerize/virtualize non Windows apps.
After four years they have NEVER demonstrated that capability, and that is the ONLY capability that would make them unique or be able to offer a unique value proposition.
So here is a challenge to Peter Bookman and company: Show it. Prove it.
If you can't, that's ok. No one else does either!
Note: Well, Microsoft and Parallels both offer virtualization/containerization for Windows, IBM does it for mainframe, and no one does it for Apple.
ANY has to be a super hot stock! No posts THREE days!!
And paid almost nothing for that load of shares. At the expense of retail shareholders.
Pass the Prep H.......maybe that will soothe the pain.
Is "alternate facts" now the standard defence for lies, bs, false claims and misleading statements to investors?
Is that total shareholder value?
I suspect he is waiting for commercial client validation of the Glassware tech :)
This is some interesting news indeed. Recall the private investor call held by Peter Tassiopoulos with the private Twitter group prior to the CC in May. This group claimed to hold over $15 million in shares. A surprise visitor to the call was Mr Inwentash, and he claimed his holdings far surpassed the rest of the group.
So, from that sizable holding to only 12,000 shares. That's some serious selling.
May I suggest a plan of action: call Dustin Hardin and ask him about his experience with Glassware.
Ask him 1/ why did you acquire the system 2/ what apps were you planning to deploy 3/ how was the performance 4/ how many users did you deploy and support with the Glassware solution 5/ would you buy it again if you could do it over 6/ would you recommend the solution
I expect that if you have a pro-Sphere position you will be very disappointed. And you will gain an understanding why Glassware has failed in the market.
A pump and dump? Sphere? Surely not. Just a slight delay on delivery of the promise of this extraordinary game changing tech delivered by the IT industry's top exec and sales team.
All they have to do is sell five of those every day and they will hit their $40 million goal!!!
What was BS about TTommy's post??
Did Sphere tout New Caney ISD as a Glassware customer site? Absolutely!
Did Sphere claim they had 10,000 active users running Glassware on Chromebooks? Absolutely!
Did Peter Bookman tweet about this great client success? Absolutely!
Did Jason Katcher of Google tweet about this success? Absolutely!
Did Sphere promote the presentation about Glassware from Dustin Hardin, the New Caney Director of IT? Absolutely!
Did New Caney ever rollout Glassware to 10,000 students? No
How many students did Peter Bookman say they had up and running (after claiming 10,000)? "2" Yes, two.
You guys crack me up. These guys sell VMware View/Horizon based appliances. They were part of the same VMware TAP program that V3 and Sphere were members.
Arbitrary, perhaps you can help me understand something.
As we know, Sphere has claimed that Glassware can deliver "thousands of users on a single server" and "we ran over 8,000 concurrent users at Dell World", right?
So, can you tell me why they would waste time, money and resources selling a solution like the one you describe? Why sell a solution, based on VMware View/Horizon that only delivers 100 users per server, instead of 8,000 users per server using Glassware? Wouldn't that level of competitive advantage destroy the competition? Wouldn't that be the path to massive sales success and YUGE revenue?
In fact, as Eric Kelly said, "we make VMware redundant" so why even bother selling a VMware based appliance? Come to think of it, why spend $16 million to buy the VMware based V3 IP and assets if you have such a superior solution developed in-house?
Hope you can help me understand these contrary positions and seemingly irrational marketing and acquisition decisions.
Thanks
"Enough these and off we go"
May I remind you that Sphere execs exalted the 20,000 Overland partners with "if we only have 1/10 selling we will be exceed our revenue targets" and "Novorad has 2,000 hospitals to upgrade" and of course, Dell, Atos, Ericsson, Google, Microsoft, and VMware.
And of course, lets not forget Entisys, the Mid West mom and pop ISP/cable provider, the unlimited potential of Azure, all of the BIG Microsoft customers that will line up at the MTC events.
Funny you should ask. They no longer market or sell it.
And I simply can't understand why. It was a sure fire hit, what with over 2,000 potential clients ready to spend hard cash to upgrade to the V3 appliance.
Maybe Sphere execs can provide an update in the next quarterly call.
"what happened to the supposed asset sales and indications of interest? "
I think the key word is "supposed".
What happened to the $100 million a year (minimum) that Corel would deliver (per Cormark and Jacobs).
What happened to "Glassware in all Dell devices"?
What happened to Novarad and Novaglass and the thousands of V3 appliances they would sell?
What happened to Google, and "every Chromebook has Glassware installed"?
What happened to the millions in revenue from Pearson Test Nav and the education market?
What happened to "Glassware and DSCO are within VMware Horizon"?
What happened to Ericsson, Atos, Entisys, Tech Data, Promark?
And of course, what happened to Microsoft and all of its huge customers that would adopt Glassware?
Supposedly.........
Nah....they would never do that.
Hottie, I think you may have been misinformed. I never invested in Sphere as I had massive doubts about the claims from day one. Unfortunately others were not as well informed and believed the hype and false statements.
PS
My doubts have been proven accurate. I recall a conversation with Peter Bookman in early 2014 where he claimed Glassware could deliver Apple apps and IBM mainframe apps. I made him a simple proposition: show me both running on a Blackberry, Win PC or Android device (another claim the company had made) and I will invest, and become a supporter of the company and Glassware.
It is now 2017, and I have yet to see that demo.
Wonder why?
"No one compared ANY to casinos"
OK, I guess you missed this post post: The SEC does not give one shit about what goes on with pennyland stock investing. It's the Wild West and you take your chances and rarely succeed - should the law go after casinos because the games there are inherently biased in favor of the house?
As of today, Sphere claims they can deliver Apple apps including those for iOS and OSX.
They cannot due to massive and insurmountable technical and legal challenges. Remember that the Gorilla claimed that Sphere could tear down the Apple pay wall. That alone would have made Sphere a multi-billion dollar acquisition target. What would the total inventory of Apple iOS apps been worth to Microsoft, Samsung and Blackberry back in 2013-4? Billions.
PS I will note that Peter Bookman, the Head of Global Strategy admitted last year during the Microsoft podcast that he had NOT EVEN READ THE APPLE EULA!!! So, for three years, (and still today) Sphere claims they can deliver Apple tech yet their senior marketing/sales guy don't even know the contractual terms that govern the use and restrictions on Apple apps and operating systems.
You tell me what that says about the validity of the company's claims.
Strut, you are right. I would be interested to see the total value of shares traded in ANY. I would expect it is close to a billion dollars.
First, most investors did not invest in ANY when it was a penny stock. Many invested from $5-$11, not when it was trading at pennies.
And comparing casinos to ANY is absurd. Do casinos say that you are guaranteed to win? Do casinos claim that their new games will make all other casinos redundant and guarantee you a win? No.
When you walk into a casino. you know the odds favour the house, but play anyway for the visceral thrill of gambling. I doubt any investor in Sphere did it for thrills. They did it because they were told that this company had created a new way of delivering applications that would make current methods obsolete, had huge support and acquisition interest from big name vendors, and the channel to deliver this new tech to a global market.
That was the claim in 2012-2017. Hands up anyone that has seen Sphere deliver all Windows apps, mainframe, Apple iOS and OSX, IBM AIX, Android, and Linux.
Buehler.....Buehler....anyone?
Why has no one seen these capabilities? Simply because the claims are false. I will ask the question I have asked for three years: if Sphere can do this as they claim, please show it, and I will happily invest.
And that is why the SEC seems to have an interest.
Is that finally an admission that this is a POS BS story spun by a group of stock promotes and an idiot primate?
New acquisitions? A handful of services guys? You think that is gone to propel this clunker?
New capabilities? Please, do share those new capabilities with us. I will remind you that the game changing, paradigm shifting, Citrix killing, VMware redundancy making Glassware is NOWHERE ANYWHERE and today, ONLY delivers a handful of limited scope Windows apps.....with the help of Sphere professional services. What happened to all apps including Windows, XP,7,8, 10, and Apple iOS and OSX, Android, mainframe, AIX and Linux???????
They cannot do any of those.
And don't forget SIX CLICKS TO VIRTUALIZE ANY APP. TOO FUNNY!!!!!!
Ha Ha HA

Strut, if you go back in time and read Eric Kelly's comments about mergers and acquisitions in the past including the one with Sphere, they are all accretive. Yet, revenue keeps going down, and losses keep on mounting.
Reminds me of that line from The Princess Bride: "You keep using that word. I don't think it means what you think it means"
Yes, I agree. Acquiring a small unknown professional services firm will magically solve the technology, customer, revenue and debt issues that Corel, Dell, Microsoft, VMware, Atos, Ericsson could not.
Just wondering Pete if you still believe Morelli over "some other poster"? :)
Is VCEL another "can't miss" stock pick like ANY. All the way done from $11 to 30 cents.
Have to laugh reading some of the old posts and comparing them to VCEL on this board. Some things never change.
Simply one of the most nonsensical comments I have read on this board.
Silly day traders looking for a quick pop
Market forces.
And people still have shares to unload :)
I'm sure that is a winning strategy. Good luck
Is that the sound a stock makes when it implodes for the last time?
