Hey hey hey, what do we have here? Kelly sold almost 20,000 shares in a week.
I guess its NOT going to 16/60/600 after all.
Bingo! Now you are getting the picture.
Simple answer to each question: YES
Thanks. I thought they were referring to Michael Keen. I wonder how Simon Bramfitt is doing these days?
So many names, so little software.
And I wonder how Bookman is doing with the lawsuit filed against him by his former V3 Systems partners? What was that about? Fraud and perjury, right?
Sorry SE, but I need to quibble with a few points:
1/ The Gorilla did NO due diligence. None. He published the crap spoofed to him. Let me give you an example. HTFBS published the backgrounds and career highlights of the core team. He claimed that Nilesh Patel was a founder of NetApp, the second largest storage company in the industry. Fact is Nilesh Patel, per his Linkedin profile, joined NetApp FOUR YEARS AFTER IT WAS FOUNDED.. And he had the title of Product Manager. Not VP, or SVP, or even Director but Product Manager.
The most rudimentary DD would have uncovered this discrepancy.
2/ Do you really believe that Sphere destroyed his reputation? ;)
.
MK? Full name please
How can they look themselves in the mirror? Thats easy Strut. They do it while standing on a mountain of your cash, that's how.
Of course. Welcome to the wonderful world of Sphere.
But, hey, don't you guys think it is odd that Peter Tassiopoulos, the company founder, former CEO and President never had any shares from the founders and early investor distribution? Well, not that he declared, anyway.
I wonder if one of the Gorilla's Florida neighbours could provide insight on that.
Sorry bud, but there were several people that posted on this forum that the IP was worthless. Why did you not believe them or ask questions based on the information that they raised?
You got no reply from Scott? Wow, that is surprising. I wonder why he wouldn't' respond to a burned investor he helped fleece? Certainly a puzzle.
Boom! Well done. You would think they would know better than to mess with the master.
Ridiculous. Investors should be going nuts over this.
Are you serious? How do these clowns justify that level of compensation for running a company into the ground quarter after quarter, year after year?
How much did the Crown Prince of Hype earn? Ooops, scratch that. Earn is not the right word. Lets say got paid instead.
Not a chance pal. See here's the thing, unlike certain naive, ignorant investors that post pretty pictures on Twitter, I actually know this space, and have done my homework.
Let me give you an example why I will take that bet: drivers. If you read that and thought "cars?" don't invest in Sphere. There is a reason (one of many) the Corel Glassware solution failed. Glassware had no driver support, thus users could not print. All these printers and peripherals that people use daily require software drivers, and that takes coding talent. Coding talent and resources Sphere has never had. How critical is this task, and how big? At one time, almost half of VMware's development resources were dedicated writing and supporting device drivers. Thats a LOT of resources.
Want another reason? Active Directory integration. At best, what Glassware offers is a kludge requiring additional work on the part of IT desktop and security admins. These are the same people that would test, evaluate and recommend deployment of Glassware. Do you think that these IT staff want more work? Do you think they want a less secure solution? Especially when that have options from Microsoft, VMware, Dell, Citrix, IBM and others that work, and are successfully installed and running?
Never going to happen.
Also, let's not forget that no enterprise security team will deploy a solution that offers no data encryption capabilities. And per Peter Bookman and John Morelli, Glassware does not have encryption.
The only way to scoop up ANY is with a pooper scooper.
I have to laugh at this dialogue now. Just a few short months ago, it was "we will be soon at 16/60/600" and "Dell was going to buy the company for $20 Billion". And that wasn't enough for some people!
Now this board is all abuzz because the share price has popped above 50 cents. Break out the champagne!!!
Bottom line is simply this: Glassware isn't a dud, it is a never was. Glassware on Azure....ha! Do you remember PT saying he didn't know what was happening on Azure. He claimed Microsoft didn't provide that information!! C'mon guys, think about that statement just a minute. Do you think companies mount software on Azure, a platform that cost $Billions to develop, and Microsoft cannot report activity and usage to its vendors or customers? Just go to the Azure Partner site and you can see for yourself the usage reporting Microsoft supplies partner execs like Tassiopoulos. Every hour of the day.
So, what are you left with as an investor? A money losing dog called Overland Storage. Not even in the top 100 of global storage companies. Nine years and counting of consecutive quarterly losses. And led by Eric Kelly.
Game, set, match.
Tredd, sorry but I don't need to ANY to fail.
It already has.
Premature?
Hey, you want premature, try this" we are tired of development, now is the time to sell, sell, sell". That's straight from the horses mouth. Peter T himself said that to potential investors Feb 4 2014.
That's almost three years ago. THREE YEARS
and I will wager that it still isn't close to being a usable product.
I suspect that management and insiders are dumping as fast as they can before this POS craters for the final time.
This is what it means.
Absolutely nothing
This has NOTHING to do with Sphere.
And hey guys, wasn't Glassware on Azure supposed to be the path to the pot of gold?
What happened?
Sorry Jay, but my sources within Sphere Mississauga left recently. All I have left is some contacts in California and they don't know what is going on.
Hey, I wonder if Microsoft has finally provided Sphere with activity reports for all the Glassware business on Azure. It has to be worth a ton of money by now, right.
Perhaps someone could ask PT for an update. He doesn't answer my calls :)
Tredd, just wondering if you received answers to your questions about cloud and Sphere from some of the experts. Could you share what you learned? Really want to know if now is the time to jump into a position with Sphere.
Thanks!
I imagine Sphere will tell investors that the reasoning/excuse for Novarad leaving is that Sphere was too busy with other large partners. You know the pitch: "we have many large POCs on-going that are consuming our resources but we are training their staff and this will pay off down the road. We are learning the best route to market and believe we have found the right mix to maximize sales and market reach".
So, let recap:
Corel failed when the product didn't deliver. The story then was that "B2C was not cost effective and we decided that B2B was more efficient"
Education: Glassware was embedded in every Chromebook, right. Yet, not a single successful deployment (we never did hear how it was possible for Bramfitt to claim CCPS had 30,000 Glassware enabled Chromebooks, or what happened to New Caney). But thats ok, only 80 million students in the uS alone so not much of a market anyway.
Dell: Glassware was embedded in every Dell product. Yet not a single customer, and surprise, Dell doesn't know anything about Glassware. How could that be possible?
And the list goes on with VMware, Microsoft, Atos and Ericsson (remember them), the mom and pop cable vendor in the mid west, and more. Many more......lets not forget Overlands direct sales force, 20,000 partners and 500,000 plus clients sites.
Any guesses as to the names of the companies involved in those bad loans?
ANY guesses?
I would respectfully suggest that you not hold your breath. Here's a clue to Sphere's reality: can you name a single legitimate company that fails to promote it's annual shareholder meeting on its web site? Why would a legitimate company hide its AGM news?
Now consider what Sphere did re its AGM. It released a PR suggesting someone was considering looking at acquiring some assets. No names. No dollar amounts. No specifics. No timelines. No nothing.
After four years of hype that was the best they could do. So, if you think that there is some secret news that will change fortunes for investors, prepare to eat Kraft Dinner for along time.
Those who get it......lose all their money.
Great idea....except I know for a fact corker the oil tycoon was one of them. :) Not a very bright boy to post it on a private board with a mole :))
And the SEC have far sharper teeth than the OSC or CDN regulators. Every one knows that, and a certain class of stock promoter counts on it. Sphere was traded on the NASDAQ and thus fall under jurisdiction of the SEC.
Go for it bud. It was your money after all.
Perhaps it was simply so obvious a stock market scheme that I decided to help investors with some accurate information. I mean, did you really believe that a $70,000 investment over four years was going to deliver ground breaking technology that would disrupt Msft, Citrix and VMware? C'mon man! So, it seemed that many needed the help, and at least some appreciated it. However, others ignored it and got slaughtered.
PS The first time I read the HTFBS newsletter, I actually laughed out loud at his claims. It was so obviously a scam. I was flabbergasted that investors took it seriously. Frankly, anyone one that followed his advice and believed a single word of his hype is a fool.
Seriously?
Lets consider some facts. First, he presented himself as an expert on technology? And when pressed about his claims about Microsoft, he said his source was Microsoft itself. When he claimed in his Pondering Primate blog that Glassware was the "only way to end end of life " and "run ATM based XP apps in the cloud" he was forced to delete it. And forced by Microsoft.
Now, let me ask you where he got his information if he wasn't technically competent, and didn't get his info from Microsoft? And why did Sphere represent his musings regularly on their web site?
Why did has writings and tweets almost exactly match the storyline being promoted by Sphere throughout the promotion? Why did he have unique access to Sphere exec Tassiopoulos? Who started the ANY board on this forum? Who was the only independent investor and writer ever to ask a question on the quarterly calls?
Who wrote the glowing executive backgrounds that claimed Sphere exec Nilesh Patel was a founder of NetApp, and Bookman a founder of Fusion IO? (Note: with joined their respective companies 2-4 years AFTER the companies were formed).
C'mom guys. Think about it. Do you really think he was truly independent?
Rudy, Sphere is a customer of VMW. They buy and sell VMware Horizon. End of story.
When will you guys understand that simple dynamic? Or do you still believe the nonsense spouted by the Gorilla? Do you still think that "DCO and Glassware are within" VMware Horizon? Time to wake up and smell the coffee.
Gents, there is ZERO chance that ANY has a play with that alliance. It's apples and oranges.
You guys may as well say that ANY is partnered with TESLA because TESLA cars are electric and have several on-board computers.
So, does that mean you have a record of his "promotional" activities?
Not coincidence, but part of the plan. The instructions to block anyone with a contrary position to Sphere were delivered via the private Twitter group.
Well, let's be frank. Sphere and Msft hosted an event at the Msft MTC facility and got less than 18 attendees. And that was after all the hype and promotion when Sphere was the hot up and comer.
Now......
Not so much. Nobody cares.
Missed that announcement on Twitter as I am blocked from following Sphere. (Cant imagine why). Was it Sphere or Bookman that posted it. If it was Bookman then I would suggest he suffered from premature tweeting again.
Second point is whether or not it would matter. At this point do you really think that a webinar will be the tipping point to success? VMW has a thousand sales, channel and marketing reps that do sales/marketing demos and presentations every day. One webinar is a non event.
The lack of cash is the fault of everyone else but management, right guys.
Just like the lack of revenue, long list of false claims, the gratuitous share rewards, the declining sales, and massive debt. All the fault of everyone ........... but the management team.
Who said that "Glassware made VMware irrelevant"? Eric Kelly
Who said that "Glassware was patented" when it wasn't? John Morelli.
Who said in Feb 2014 that "it was the time to sell, sell, sell"? Peter Tassiopoulos.
Who said "Glassware and DCO were within VMware Horizon"? Peter Bookman
Who said that the company has "more opportunities than they could handle", a veritable "chaos of success"? Peter Bookman
Sphere is officially dead. Half a dozen posts in a whole week.
But, hey Peter, nice job. Made millions for yourself on this one. Sadly for retail investors, you left a trail of financial wreckage and ruin in your wake.
Reread my post and ask yourself the following questions: was derek32smith serious, or just offering a wink wink glimpse of the next pitch from Sphere?
Is a Glassphone possible? No. Though it's an enticing idea and cool name, what would a Glassphone offer to the market and consumer? What could Sphere build what Blackberry could not? And they just exited the hardware business. Could Sphere's handful of developers do what Blackberry, with thousands of engineers and software developers, could not? Not a chance.
Could this team build a universal browser (by the way, what is that?) when Microsoft cannot? And what would it offer that Apple Safari and Google Chrome do not today? And how would Sphere monetize it when the competition is free?
Does he really think that this team of Kelly, Tassiopoulos, Bookman, Kurt K can beat Google, Apple, Samsung, Microsoft, and Blackberry at their own game? Did they beat EMC, Dell, B+VMware, Citrix, Microsoft, NetApp, Hitachi and IBM at their game? Not even close!!!
But, hey, what do I know? Maybe this time they can pull it off. And after all, the price to play is only 50 cents. Can't get a coffee at Tims for that price.
It's funny, but if you go back in the history of this board, that was said in 2014, and 2015, and now again in 2016.
Some things never change....except the Sphere share price and financial results that is!
