Sorry SE, but I need to quibble with a few points:
1/ The Gorilla did NO due diligence. None. He published the crap spoofed to him. Let me give you an example. HTFBS published the backgrounds and career highlights of the core team. He claimed that Nilesh Patel was a founder of NetApp, the second largest storage company in the industry. Fact is Nilesh Patel, per his Linkedin profile, joined NetApp FOUR YEARS AFTER IT WAS FOUNDED.. And he had the title of Product Manager. Not VP, or SVP, or even Director but Product Manager.

The most rudimentary DD would have uncovered this discrepancy.

2/ Do you really believe that Sphere destroyed his reputation? ;)
