Anyone know why this stock has spiked?
eResearch put out a Speculative Buy on this in late August and said there's a long lead time to feasibility. I bought this because nickel prices and this stock got hammered. It went up 20 cents shortly after I bought it and I sold it. I do a flip like this maybe once or twice a year. I usually hold a resource stock for at least a year.
Take a look at his three recent oil & gas pumps:
TNEN SCEY EERG
Unfortunately, I took a hit on TNEN.

I've gotten a number of promotionals from him over the last year talking about his "legendary" record. Some have been winners but look at tnen, cogc, cype and eerg.
Maybe he doesn't mention them because they're lemons.
I own tnen.
Just added a little @ $.82
Thanks. I bought a couple of small cap O&G stocks recently that went south so the law of averages caught up a little.
Received the proxy and information circular in today's mail.
Puzzled why this is at a 52 week low. The recent news release read well I thought. Finally near production.
Took a chance on this yesterday @ $.33. Nickel is near a one year low and this stock has been crushed.
FinMetal.... A couple of months ago, I received a flier in the mail pushing FinMetal (FNMM). I've played in gold and silver juniors but never base metals.
Nickel, I think, is near a year low and this stock has been crushed. Does anyone have familiarity with this one?
Thanks!
Made my first purchase this morning @ $.98 after watching it for quite a while.
Been watching this for a few months. Came across it on Gold seek.com.
I bought it Friday at $.25.
Hit a low today. They seem like they are at the right products and locations. Is this a "buy"?
Hope so....I had 10000 @$.32 from earlier in the year. So many of the small cap o&g stocks have been drifting lower all year.
For what it's worth, I just bought 5000 @ $.255.
Got that same mail "report" months ago and have looked at this stock once in a while. Any reason it dropped under 50 cents this morning or is it like so many other small cap o&g stocks that have been drifting lower for six months?
Thinking of taking a shot in the 40+cent area.
Is it time to "bottom-fish"?
The mega-cap oil & gas stocks have kept pace with the S&P. Look at AMEX oil index (XOI). But these little, small caps O&G stocks have been drifting lower for months. Many are at their 52-week lows.
A newsletter I get just said FTRS and GTRE are "ridiculously cheap" and I bought some. I've recently come across PHUN and SOPO which are also down at their lows but I'm just starting to follow them.
Do you board members think it might be time to be contrarian?
Any names you might want to share?
Thanks!
The big cap oil stocks have mostly kept pace with the S&P. Look at the AMEX oil index (XOI). The small caps like FTRS and GTRE have drifted lower and are largely ignored in recent months.
You're right about the production that potentially will come onstream at Eel River. At that point, their profile and hopefully the stock price should leap up.
A weekly newsletter I get said this morning that "Share prices for both Foothills and Gran Tierra have come down to ridiculously low levels".
For what it's worth, I just bought some FTRS at a 52 week low
of $.95.
Question: is there anything of genuine substance about this company's activities that would cause even modest optimism for the near or intermediate term? I bought shares in July '05 @.025 and this has waffled lower to the point rigor mortis seems to be setting in.
Small cap O&G stocks have been battered for months and I think this is a real buying opportunity. I've bought FLWE, PTGC and FNGC in the last couple of weeks at 52 week lows. All have interesting portfolios of projects.
TNOG has a backhoe!
I'm willing to take another shot and average way down but as shareholders we need incentive to stay involved. You need patience to be in the little O&G pinks but I'm coming up on a year with a dismal result.
Frustrated!
Does anyone know if this company is still alive?
