Smile AOT Works
and is still very alive
Am I still invested?
Absolutely!!!
I have received a few emails over the last month asking if I’m still in QSEP.
Hell yes!!
I just took a break from iHub.
Covid19 disruption changed both incomes in my home, so we focused on what was most important to us and taking a break from most social media.
I have enjoyed the refreshing tone change to communications from QSEP!
I look at the issues from these tests and they “Are Not” consistent with previous tests, this gives me great confidence the device can be successfully modified.
Once this glitch is rectified I fully expect a functional test, will at the same time be a an industry changing moment.
I am as excited as ever!!!
Long and strong more than ever, even if I don’t post with my previous regularity.
Stay safe and Smile AOT Works.
Stay safe everyone,
I’m more scared of this virus impacting my fragile family members than what I am of my shareholding.
I believe fully in this technology,
AND for good reason
Smile, wash your hands, don’t touch your face, and if you get a fever, dry cough or loose your smell call for help.
Each morning hold your breath just once, if your ability drops significantly go get a test.
This was described a a large company,
The other thing is it’s a pipeline company, not a producer, it charges a fee bet barrel essentially.
The oil production company’s out there that do go broke, with assets, will be purchased quite cheap by others, that means that in the long run they will be businesses operating off a lower cost base, just under a different name.
Smile, still long and strong
I know of no other device in the market today with the potential to lower costs by reducing power demand, increasing flow rate or reducing the need for hydrocarbon diluents as the AOT device.
Smile, I have lots of shares!!
We will continue, as always, to provide progress, plan and schedule updates on this web page.
Smile, I’m not short!
Data collected in these limited tests indicate the original AOT grid pack powered by the new high-capacity power supply could provide significant flow rate improvement.

68,000 extra shares for me these last 2 days!!!
Smile, waiting on next update
We believe these modifications may enhance output and efficiency and may provide us new areas to expand the Company’s intellectual property.

Completely incorrect.
You give a statement that sounds concise, but your time frame is far from that.
You give a minimum time of 3 months with a 100% increase variation of the minimum, this unwinds the concise nature of your statement.
If your going to give a statement of minimum requirements you would be better listing any processes to be evaluated rather than making a timeline.
“AOT has been inspected, certified, and approved to meet or exceed the specifications and quality control requirements of all applicable industrial testing and certification laboratories, leading midstream producers, and transportation entities”
Results will be instant, viscosity can be measures anytime downstream of AOT.
Previous Pilots have shown the upstream pump (Transcanada Keystone Pipeline) pump station 29 was turned down 72% to move the same volume of oil, that was within hours of AOT being turned on.
There are however some areas that will need to be measured over extended periods of time, wax build up is a long term process, and to measure the reduction will also take a long term to establish. That will be additional benefit that is not currently being promoted.
There are science papers on the QS Energy web page that explain this.
To prevent wax buildup in addition to the viscosity reduction benefits is an incredible combination!
To give an example in Australia there are no pipelines big enough for a full size AOT, but there are many that would benefit from the prevention of wax build up.
AOT is like a Swiss multi knife, it has many functions.
AOT results can be published within a day, but it is expected that results and data will be published and released at multiple timeframes inclusive of early operations.
The current installation requires 2 additional units to recognise the full benefit over the pipeline length, if early testing is within expected range, those units will be required to be contracted in a revenue generating capacity for QS Energy, this could be lease or sale.
Smile results will be quick!
I personally believe the final commissioning of the AOT equipment is highly likely to have been completed based on previous timelines set out.
Flooding the system with heavy crude oil would have been a step in this process and if AOT is not already operational it should be very soon.
Some previous communication around expectations may be worth highlighting.
Shannon Rasmussen and the engineering team have delivered a new internal design we believe will improve the performance significantly.
Based on the results of both field and laboratory experiments, we believe the AOT should allow our demonstration partner to meet its need for additional flow rate in the pipeline.
Further, recent laboratory tests indicate we may see performance in excess of our demonstration partner's needs at this location.
I know of no other device in the market today with the potential to lower costs by reducing power demand, increasing flow rate or reducing the need for hydrocarbon diluents as the AOT device.
I look forward to working with the rest of the QS team to advance the technology and deliver significant value for prospective customers."
Smile AOT has great value!!
QS Energy's patented Applied Oil Technology (AOT) is a solid-state turn-key system which uses a high volt / low amp electric field to reduce crude oil viscosity.
AOT installs inline on crude oil pipelines, operates unattended without interrupting pipeline flow, with full remote monitoring and control.
LATEST UPDATES AND INFORMATION
January 3, 2020: This is a short update on work currently being performed on the AOT demonstration equipment. For full context, please see the December 31, 2019 and December 6, 2019 updates below.
As reported earlier this week, the internal gridpack of the AOT demonstration unit was recently shipped to a local shop for minor reconfiguration changes and repairs. All parts and supplies were delivered to the shop yesterday (1/2/2020). Work was completed this afternoon (1/3/2020) supervised by our engineering team. Quality assurance and system component testing was initiated this afternoon and should be completed early next week. Assuming successful component testing, the AOT gridpack should be ready for re-installation by the middle of next week.
Our engineers will be onsite next week to oversee transportation and re-installation of the AOT gridpack. Subject to weather constraints (work cannot be performed under certain conditions including lightning, high wind or rain), the AOT gridpack is scheduled to be re-installed on Thursday of next week (1/9/2020) with onsite testing to begin shortly thereafter.
Based on the results of both field and laboratory experiments, we believe the AOT should allow our demonstration partner to meet its need for additional flow rate in the pipeline.
Further, recent laboratory tests indicate we may see performance in excess of our demonstration partner's needs at this location.
From the QS Energy Web Site.
The aggregated short chains are similar to the short polymers used in DRA (Drag Reducing Agent).
DRA is an expensive, widely used, chemical added to crude oil to increase flow rates.
Tick tock
Results will be instant!!
This technology is big, make no mistake this oil company testing has reason to see this test through, this could be the biggest efficiency gain seen in oil for a long time.
If you have ever costed the recovery of a pipe that has turned into a candle and had to choose if the section of pipe should be heated or cut out, you would know the potential of AOT.
In as little as a week we could see spectacular results!!
For this purpose, the aggregated short chains play a similar function as polymer additives in DRA.
However, this ER technology has no additives and thus is friendly to the refineries in the crude oil case.
Moreover, the technology also significantly reduces the viscosity along the flow direction and enhances the flow output, while DRA cannot reduce the oil’s viscosity.
Because of the Serge effect the aggregated chains in the laminar flow will also migrate toward the center of the pipe where the shear rate is minimized.
Therefore, this technology will also reduce the sedimentation on the pipeline wall.
December 31, 2019: Greetings all on this fine New Year’s Eve. Many of you have been anxiously awaiting news regarding test operations at our AOT demonstration site. Though we had planned to re-initiate test operations before the end of 2019, we’ve had to delay operations. We currently plan have AOT demonstration test operations up and running in January.
As noted in our December 6, 2019 update, we completed AOT gridpack modifications and installation in early December. Installation and high-voltage testing of the new power supply was completed in mid-December. After finalizing the power connections, electrical safety and insulation testing was performed on the AOT as part of final commissioning. During these tests, an electrical measurement was made in the AOT indicating an internal system anomaly. After a thorough examination and additional on-site testing, our engineers determined a physical inspection of the internals was required prior to flooding the system with heavy crude oil.
The good news is that the internal inspection revealed relatively minor damage to some internal components which was likely the cause of the anomalous readings. This damage likely occurred during vertical assembly of the system in early December. Once found, our engineers quickly formed a repair plan, including minor configuration changes designed to avoid similar damage during vertical assembly. The AOT gridpack has been shipped to a local shop and parts for these repairs have been ordered and are scheduled to arrive on Thursday, January 2nd. Christopher Gallagher, PhD, Senior Vice President of Product Commercialization and Business Development, and Shannon Rasmussen, Vice President of Engineering, plan to be on-site at the local shop on Thursday to oversee repairs.
If all goes as scheduled, the repaired AOT gridpack will be shipped back to the demonstration site the week of January 6th, and will be installed as soon as required resources (crane and manpower) are available. Assuming no further delays, AOT demonstration project testing should commence in mid-January.
We appreciate your continued patience and support and will continue to provide updates at this web page (qsenergy.com/updates) as this project proceeds.
We look forward to an exciting new year.
Happy New Year to all

Testing should begin
Majority of equipment delivered and installed
Remains on track to resume AOT demonstration testing by the end of 2019
We hope all stakeholders will find this added communication channel helpful during this phase of the demonstration project.
Given the heightened level of activity, we plan to provide more frequent general updates on the status of the AOT Demonstration Project.
December 6, 2019:
As we prepare to resume AOT demonstration testing, we are pleased to provide an update on the status of the upgraded equipment.
The new high-capacity power supply and parts for the planned AOT internal grid pack modifications arrived at the demonstration site on schedule in late November.
Installation of the modified grid pack was completed earlier this week.
Modifications have been completed to the electrical skid and controller cabinets, increasing both electrical and cooling capacity.
Final installation of the new power supply in the modified cabinets should be completed next week upon delivery of the final components required to complete the electrical connections and control interface.
Christopher Gallagher, PhD,
Senior Vice President of Product Commercialization and Business Development, commented,
"Given the heightened level of activity, we plan to provide more frequent general updates on the status of the AOT Demonstration Project.

What role is Chris leading again?

Further, recent laboratory tests indicate we may see performance in excess of our demonstration partner's needs at this location.
Mr Lane,
This comment is not for me as a shareholder, I think it is for industry people following AOT, I bet your phone rang non stop.
If I followed AOT closely and moved 25,000 barrels of oil an hour, I would call and ask how soon can I watch a demo?
Smile that newsroom release might have had several different audiences.
Jason Lane, Chief Executive Officer and Chairman of the Board, commented, "We continue to advance our Applied Oil Technology (AOT) demonstration project on a commercial pipeline located in the southern United States. As previously reported, we completed installation of equipment in late June and began test operations in early July, but testing was temporarily suspended upon discovering the system's primary power supply had been damaged prior to installation. We repaired and reinstalled the power supply to perform limited testing in the field in advance of ordering a new, higher-capacity power supply and integrating configuration modifications to the internal AOT grid pack based on lessons learned both in the field and in the laboratory. The new power supply has now been built and quality-tested at the manufacturing facility and is scheduled for shipment to the demonstration site by the manufacturer in the next few days. With this delivery, we remain on schedule to restart AOT demonstration testing before the end of the year."
"During the implementation of these changes, Christopher Gallagher, PhD, the Company's consulting engineer, played a critical role, applying laboratory tests and analysis to details of the AOT configuration and component design. Given his valuable assistance, we are pleased to announce his appointment as Senior Vice President of Product Commercialization and Business Development. In this expanded role, Dr. Gallagher will assume additional responsibilities helping QS Energy progress into commercialization and will be positioned to work directly with prospective customers. Our plans moving forward are centered on achieving commercial adoption of our AOT device."
Dr. Gallagher commented, "I am looking forward to a successful commissioning of the upgraded AOT. Shannon Rasmussen and the engineering team have delivered a new internal design we believe will improve the performance significantly. Based on the results of both field and laboratory experiments, we believe the AOT should allow our demonstration partner to meet its need for additional flow rate in the pipeline. The massively important point that has been pointed out continually is that lab results can be replicated in field and vice versa.
EG.
Though limited, results of these in-field tests were consistent with recent laboratory tests performed both at our Tomball facility and at Temple University.
AOT had conductivity faults in field, they go replicated in the lab, and the power supply was designed off the back of this.
The lab results must be better than expected to get this statement
“Based on the results of both field and laboratory experiments, we believe the AOT should allow our demonstration partner to meet its need for additional flow rate in the pipeline. Further, recent laboratory tests indicate we may see performance in excess of our demonstration partner's needs at this location.
Data could be explosive to the share price!!!
