A few years ago there were articles about the US Military/Navy testing liquid metal for canards and fins propelled from rail guns at Mach 7. Below is a recent article. What’s the chance these have any liquid metal in them?

A new patent posted today from Apple. From what I can tell, it involves “cold worked” 304 stainless steel” as a perimeter band of iPhone. This is not BMG, correct?

Any chance this involves BMG?

Morning All. What times does the OH officially start today?
Looks like liquid metal is a popular term to use to describe products. Anything wrong using to describe this product?

I cannot launch article. Would you please post it? Thx
Check out the text from July 3, 2017 (3/7/17) in the article below involving the pictured screen-bracket. Very intricate while requiring strength and durability. Anyone able to eyeball technology used to manufacture? BMG?

Lots of discussion about magnesium in BMG. Graphene supposedly strongest substance and now the two combined into an injectable BMG. Thoughts on likelihood Eontec developed this graphene based BMG since Eontec has been involved in sporting goods? Would appreciate thoughts. Thanks
Head's new MxG line of tennis racquets include magnesium and graphene, referred to as a BMG, that is injection molded to form the bridge. Think Eontec is manufacturing these pieces?? Below is racquet description and link to product.
DESCRIPTION
Designed like no other for those who play like no other: With MxG, the MxG 5 features the first racquet technology that combines precision-injected Magnesium and Graphene to provide the ultimate balance of power and control like no other racquet ever before. In addition, the racquet also provides ultimate stability at a very low weight to support players at each level to raise their game. Based on a completely new way to engineer a racquet, the racquet features an innovative Magnesium Bridge construction that allows for longer free-moving main strings which leads to a much larger sweet spot and, ultimately, more power. At the same time, the molded bridge ensures that the hoop does not deform under pressure, which gives the player total control on every shot. The MxG 5 is the perfect racquet for ambitious players who need more power.

Morning All,
2 shares sold this morning and another trade with 4 shares... this is manipulation? Would this have any impact? Does the number of sales matter, or overall shares sold?
Thanks
We're in the midst (bringing back an old favorite:))

Anyone capable of identifying liquid metal by sight? Supposedly this shows the band around the front and rear glass.

In it for the long haul...sooo many applications. So excited to see action, forgot about holiday. Only stock I'm eager to watch daily??. Thx
Something I'm not aware of...why no trades posted yet today?
My smiley converted to "??"
Hmmmm, I thought metals in general are crystalline, but fast cooling makes the difference whether amorphous BMG. I'm no expert obviously??.
Thanks for reply.
I understand that LM has much bigger implications than Apple products, however, the questions still stand:
1. Does Liquidmetal have a stainless steel BMG formulation?
2. Do you know if forging is possible in these numbers without BMG? Unlikely LQMT/EONTEC could service such an order.
Here's a recent article about the next iPhone using forged stainless steel band around glass faces. Is there a stainless steel BMG? Is there any other way than LM and BMG to use a forging process and satisfy the demand required to manufacture 160 million units? Article this morning stated that Apple signed agreement with Samsung to manufacture 160 million OLED displays.

Damn auto-correct...
Missile fins...
Nice - missile find for military. Steip indicated customer...doesn't necessarily mean orders in place?
No longer a pending patent for Liquidmetal casings...

Quote from Li:
“We are very excited about the purchase of our new corporate office and manufacturing facility. The new facility will allow us to expand our manufacturing capabilities in line with our overall strategy to prepare the Company to be the global leader in amorphous alloy production,” said Professor Lugee Li, Chairman and CEO at LQMT.
Back in May 2016, Catcher leaked details about the 2017 iPhone - same rumors recently reported. Catcher has provided casings for Apple for some time. Now getting Jabil involved? Why switch to Jabil? Apple looking to use American HQ'd company? Too much risk with Foxxcon providing too many products for Apple?

Just rumor... I've seen a few articles recently associating Jabil with Apple manufacturing. This article suggests Apple is switching from Foxconn to Jabil to forge the casing instead of milling. Gotta like seeing articles involving metal allloys, molding and Apple. I always suspected either Catcher or Foxxcon would make the casings/chassis.

Thoughts?
Wow, that's quite a collection of products. All proof of concepts? Any approaching commercialization?
Thanks for the explanation Joshua - often difficult to make sense of the jargon in the releases/communications:)
What's the implication of this to Liquidmetal Technologies, Inc? This positive, negative or no impact?
I don't know about the accuracy or validity of Sierra's analysis and predictions, but I like her view on life!:). Go Sierra!
Feeling the same unfortunately...preparing for increased manufacturing in CA, but other than that, nothing really new announced. No contract time-frames... None of the RFQs seem to have materialized. Have to listen again when posted.
Given the more economical BMG will be produced by Eontec in China, and likely Eontec will benefit more quickly since numerous opportunities already rejected for LQMT but will be re-evaluated for Eontec, how will any Eontec contracts benefit us as Liquidmetal shareholders?
Thin layer of BMG connecting the two halves? Could it withstand the repeated bending? I suspect yes. Remember seeing the article about BMG wires being able to withstand millions of stretches 4X original length.
Below seems like a logical way to raise funds needed. Less hassle than offering more public shares and more control...
Issuing private stock is a time-tested way to raise money for your business. Private stock offerings are a form of equity financing; the investors who buy the private shares acquire an ownership stake in your company. You give up sole ownership of the company in exchange for capital needed to grow your company. Later on, you can pay these investors back and reacquire their equity stakes, or they might remain as part owners until the business is sold and reap a portion of the sale profits.
Private stock placements are attractive to many business owners because they offer more control than if the owners sold stock to the general public through an initial public offering. IPOs sell stock to hundreds or thousands of investors, while a private offering usually limits the number of stockholders.
Public stock offerings also require extensive public disclosure filings and adherence to Securities and Exchange Commission rules. Most private stock offerings do not need to be registered with the SEC and can be prepared fairly quickly and at a modest cost. If your business isn’t a likely candidate for a bank loan, a private stock offering can be a good alternative means of securing the money you need.
What is the implication of this "non-public" offering to all of us with public shares? Are we subordinate to the non-public shares in getting paid? Overall, these non-public shares are a good thing because they enable Li to take our tech global on a massive scale, right?
I'm confused, isn't this insider buying illegal, or does it not apply to penny stocks?
Having difficulty finding anything on Zirconium Technology. How does this help LQMT? What does ZT do?
Has the CC been rescheduled, and if so, date and time? I've seen differing info. Seems it has not as I cannot find article.
Rige, I missed your prior posts about this. Thanks for making it easy for me:). So, if there are numerous amorphous parts already used in various Apple products, where do you suppose the parts are being built presently? LQMT is not cranking the parts otherwise we would see some revenue during quarterly meetings. Foxconn, Catcher, or Apple itself? Would they be using Engel machines?
