New iPad Pro released today.
Can you please tell me the source of the half million dollars of revenue made in Q4 2019?
A quarter in which the company itself indicated not expect much from Q4.
Half those shares are locked up, true (active) float is quite small. Market cap of $1-$5B is considered small cap in today's market.
I understand your feelings with the constant negativity posted on this Board, but this is the share price lowest point in years. Generally not a good time to sell. Let me provide you some information you might not be aware of.
Huawei has publicly announced the use of the material, which means it is currently in mass production. The importance of this enormous. Eontec, Yihao, Foxconn, Prometal Tech are all capable of mass production.
Eontec has had a contract with Foxconn for 3-4 years now. Foxconn has their own BMG division. Foxconn of course produces for Apple.
Apple is predicted to have a new metal frame for this year's 5G phones. Apple stated they are making their own 5G antenna in house (meaning Foxconn).
Recent patents have shown a 5G antenna molded into a BMG phone midframe.
Again, Huawei has publicly announced the use of BMG (our formula). Apple has been known to follow Huawei with new technology (camera's, face ID, etc.).
So it will not be surprising to see Apple use this material in their 5G phones to be released this fall. Regardless of the amount of revenue, what do you think will happen to the share price if they use BMG and publicly acknowledge it?
Which one are you referring to? Been here long enough to know their games. So don't go there.
You are of course welcomed to your opinion. Simply stating that Eutectix will not own any of these machines. So from an insurance and operations standpoint it may make more sense to be kept in a separate facility. So don't us no activity seen at their plant in AZ to make assumptions.
Why do you assume Eutectix will use their existing facility in AZ? They are not buying the machines, they are licensed by LQMT to use them and any additional machines. So they can be used at any location or facility.
Apologies, I had the 2018 and 2019 side by side in word to look at the differences. This statement was from the 2018 10K and then removed from the 2019.
Low oil prices should help AAL more than any other airline as they are the only ones who don't hedge. So it will be a much larger cost savings for them versus the others.
"Our bulk amorphous alloy production machines are manufactured by two suppliers. Orders for additional machines are estimated to be built with a 13 to 26-week lead time."
This is a new statement in this years 10K. So they are making clear that they have ordered more machines for themselves (not Yihao). These are likely for Eutectix.
That is correct, should see a significant cost reduction in salaries now that severance in the 4th quarter is done. One thing this CEO has done is cut out all the fat and non-sense. And does not even take a salary himself. Speaks volumes.
$11M at 6% interest yields about $660K annually. Where do you come up with $2-$3M annually in investment income?
Seeing decreased operating expenses is more important.
Production activity in China since the Lunar New Year holiday has been recovering at a gradual pace, according to Morgan Stanley, is only at 55%-75% of normal levels as of the end of Feb 2020. However Morgan Stanley is projecting that production will get back to normal levels during Mar 2020, except in the case of steel (normalization expected in Apr 2020) and notebook PCs (normalization between end-Mar / early Apr 2020). (Morgan Stanley report)

TCL is showcasing 2 concept foldable phone utilizing display panels developed by TCL-CSOT – a rollable and a tri-fold foldable phone. The tri-fold model features a flexible AMOLED technology which allows a 10-inch tablet to collapse into a 6.65”device. TCL has introduced two different hinges for the tri-fold model – DragonHinge and ButterflyHinge.
Definetely BMG in these hinges
Yes, this is a steal at the current price. It will be back up to 30 by mid-summer.
I have seen various dates from 3/5 to 3/10.
I think the 10th might be the last day to file.
It looks like phones with no side bezels will be the design of 2020 for many manufacturers. They will need a very strong midframe to do this.
Foldable phones will not be a niche market. As prices continue to come down and quality improved, they will be mainstream.
Eontec reported on their own website about 3 weeks ago that they were at about 60% staffing levels and continuing to increase.
Really, please tell Tim Cook that as his company seems to be doing just fine. He may need to be informed of your insider information.
Wow, finally some green on the board today. This has been brutal for the shareholders.
I think the translation didn't come out well. I know they were not mass producing BMG midframes in 2017 because I recall the specific question being asked on their Q&A and they said they were not. So I don't think that statement pertains to 2017. I think it is a general statement of where they are at now. Could be wrong, but again the transition is not that great.
Good point, but then again, they could just say the royalties are coming from LQMT China or Yihao as they would be the ones producing the products. But then I suppose they would at least have to disclose that they have a contract with them just as they did for Eutectix.
LQMT is already reporting "royalties" as part of their revenues and they never indicate the source. So why would this be any different? They can report and increased amount of "royalties" and not state the source.
Yihao Metal and LQMT China websites are back up. Not significantly different so they were probably just down due to the pandemic.
That’s not BMG...
No, the 5G phones coming in September. This is why Apple is using their own antenna and not Qualcomm's. The antenna will be built into the frame as Li stated a couple years back. It is all coming together now.
I'm pretty certain they are referring to Apple in the statement below from there response letter.
"Trim, fingerprint module bracket, camera appearance, middle frame, mobile phone metal frame and other products are in mass production"
"Trim, fingerprint module bracket, camera appearance, middle frame, mobile phone metal frame and other products are in mass production"
Liquid metal MIDDLE FRAME, MOBILE PHONE METAL FRAME" !! There is is!
Eontec Q&A 15 hours ago:
Q:When does the company secretary respond to the inquiry letter from the China Securities Regulatory Commission? Although the market is not good today, I am still very optimistic about the future development of the company. I hope the company will reply as soon as possible. Our investors are also very concerned. Thank you!

Hello! Thank you for your interest in the company. After receiving the letter of concern from the Shenzhen Stock Exchange, the company attached great importance to it, and immediately organized relevant department personnel to implement the issues involved in the letter of concern one by one. The company will respond to the exchange on February 27 and make an announcement. Thank you!
I'm not sure we ever confirmed the trademark aspect regarding Apple. I agree that 106C was outside of CIP and therefore could be potential revenue for LQMT. But I thought the Liquidmetal trademark was perpetual and not subject to CIP as it fell under a different agreement.
Apple does not have Liquidmetal brand in US? You lost me on that one. They have the Liquidmetal trademark to use for CE, no?
Everything asked of the company has been publicly stated by third party reports. So it should not be any big deal or secret. I don't believe they are questioning these items as not being factual, they are more so questioning of whether the information should have been formally released in a press release versus a blog. LQMT US does this as well, and has not been questioned to date.

You better call them and tell them they misspelled Glassimetal on the front of their building. Keep trying Watts.
