What price?
This might explain the price.

What company are you referencing?
Surgical Tech's know a ton about surgery. Surgeons, the VAST majority, really have no idea how instruments are sterilized, what is required, what sets are needed for a case, on and on. Ours are first assists and do wound closures. My philosophy is just read my mind and put the instrument in my hand that I need, not what I ask for. An absolute integral part of a surgery case. Having a bad surgery tech in a hard case is almost like operating with one hand tied behind your back. A good surg tech is better than a surgery resident. It's a team. Don't listen to the dingbats on this board. They all have ulterior motives.
Right on the mark! Remember Lefty's last post!!! Someone is trying to shake out the weak hands.
I would think if JNJ does acquire TRXC, it would be purely to expand its patent portfolio and not to use their platforms. Neither of their devices are really applicable to advancing robotic surgery. They both miss the mark. But having their IP for strengthening an overall patent portfolio makes sense especially in litigation.
Looks like their set up in the pics 10ft X 20ft based on counting the floor tiles. This should be indicative of SPORT being IN the actual exhibition hall at SAGE as this is their booth size. IMO
New pics of system on website!
Yes, the transfer agent has not changed. Pretty sure Bertner Advisors was listed underneath that section as the "Titan Investor Relations" contact.
Thx. I agree it was listed somewhere. I'll look too.
CUIN2, was Bertner Advisors listed in that same area under investor relations previously? I can't recall. If so, that's a significant and intentional change IMO.
Agreed
SAGES should have over 2500 surgeon attendees. My guess based on my own experience is maybe 5% are aware of SPORT. Less than that are well educated on details. It will be interesting to see what kind of stock purchase interest comes from showing the platform as more people are exposed. Those people that invest will likely bring a few family and friends into a stock purchasing position. Given I don't plan on giving up any shares anytime soon, it will be interesting to see how it plays out. I would assume other conferences will happen as 2016 unfolds. That's not even including those on Wall Street that got a sneak peak this week. L&S
Correct. Was approved for pyeloplasty.
Fellas, pretty sure these hires are from Titan Medical Inc out of Florida. I believe there is a LinkedIn error tying the Trademark Titan Medical CA to their job postings.
I listened to the Q&A. They mention minimally invasive surgery and contact lenses, but not as the article quotes. I bet that was a transcription error and they were exclusive of each other. Internet articles are full of errors. My English teachers would give most of them a C- just for grammatical, syntax and usage errors.
IITF, what are your thoughts on the coincidence that Ximedica bought Bridge Design that is located within minutes of Mountain View, CA, Verb Surgical's to be Headquarters. We have not heard any information about who will be the OEM of the units for sale. Surely they are laying the groundwork for this transition already. I am wondering if Ximedica made this move in anticipation of a partnership with them? Anyone have thoughts?
Article that's a few weeks old, but concisely written.

Nice find! I wonder who is programming the "tasks and subtasks" and "automation and navigation" he has referred to there and previously. A watched pot never boils seems apropos.
I believe that is from China. One of the IREP guys who was at Columbia who went back to Asia. It seems to be using similar IP with additional segments. That video is a few years old. I could be wrong, but I've seen that and similar on YouTube in the past.
That has not been disclosed yet.
Nice First in line mention of Titan:

New job postings today on LinkedIn for Verb Surgical.
Thanks IITF. Nice to have confirmation of SAGES. I wonder if we could find out what booth they will be in? That will undoubtedly get some needed exposure to the masses who are not aware of what we have here. This is just really so 'excruciatingly exciting'!
I wanted to clarify some misinformation about the size of Verb Surgical's robot. Some people have said it will be 20% the size of a DaVinci which I can't find anywhere.
"J&J has previously said the new robotic surgery tools will have a smaller footprint and allow surgeons to work closer to patients. Greater color on this was provided by Henry Brandon, an analyst with RBC Capital Markets, who sounded a confident note that the Verb Surgical robot, a prototype of which was built by Ethicon last year, will be 20% smaller than Intuitive Surgical's da Vinci system. In a research note published Thursday, Brandon noted that the Verb Surgical robot would also be significantly cheaper than the da Vinci—the average selling price of the da Vinci system is about $1.68 million."

Is Andrea Bajo's comment on Cadence via LinkedIn still there? Someone please check. Thx
Didn't Ximedica expand into Bay Area with acquisition of Bridge Design?
Still not clear. "Technology" licensing falls short of saying its a surgical platform IMO.
"Verb Surgical is developing a new robotic surgery platform that will integrate technologies such as advanced imaging, data analysis, and machine learning to enable greater efficiency and improved outcomes across a wide range of surgical procedures. SRI is licensing next-generation robotics technology to Verb Surgical that we believe will impact both the open and minimally invasive surgery markets and ultimately make the benefits of robotic surgery accessible to more patients around the world."
Who do you think is guiding the production of the "iPad" like touch screen? I would guess that would be hard for even Ximedica to create in a vacuum without guidance. The microprocessors and programming required would seem high and I would guess they have other input? Thoughts? It's a big change from the previous workstation iteration...
Who do you think is going to mass produce the Patient Cart and Workstation?
FWIW...
Cadence's VP of Manufacturing was "Director of Special Projects at Ethicon Endo-Surgery."
We all hope Titan is a "Special Project"!!

To add to your good find regarding the Harminic Scalpel Pic:

Clarity is lacking, intentionally, IMO.
Noted some language differences with the April release compared to today:
Cadence is known for making blades, not "Endomechanical Devices."
Is there a difference between tools and instruments?
Nowhere in today's announcement was the term "single use" applied.
Nowhere in April's announcement was the term "multi-articulated" used.

Here is a far out theory to ponder. A true "moonshot" for a Titan investor...
Warren Robotics Inc: 70% Google, 22% JNJDC(Titan Medical-fingers crossed), 8% Ethicon. People have pointed out that it's odd that Google owns 70% of the Joint Venture, yet to be approved by the FTC. What is it that Google brings to the table that would justify such a large ownership? Well, WHAT IF Google is wanting to create a "Skynet" type company that they can bring value to the multitude of robotics acquisitions it has made over the last 10 years (Boston Dynamics, Titan Aerospace, etc.) with Healthcare being a third of the company. Just a thought that hasn't been mentioned. This would truly be a "once in a lifetime opportunity" as JH referred to in the AGM video. One can dream!
Otherwise, I too can't justify Google's ownership with the current lack of information...GLTAL's
