An ADR is a negotiable certificate that represents ownership in securities of a
non U.S. company. ADRs are issued by a sponsoring U.S. bank and denominated in
U.S. dollars. An ADR represents a specified number of shares (or one share) in
a foreign stock that is traded on a U.S. exchange.
ADRs allow foreign companies shares to be traded in a similar manner to shares
in U.S. companies on the New York Stock Exchange (NYSE), the American Stock
Exchange (AMEX), Nasdaq and the over-the-counter (OTC) market. ADRs enable U.S.
citizens to acquire shares in a foreign company without the need for cross

Cat's Paw? Could be since the company structure is based in Belize. Angola, Nigeria, Cameroons, and Somalia just might be rough neighborhoods given the presence of may local groups who need to be appeased in a civil manner.
GXG Price and Volume Up This Week but that would seemingly have no relation to the ADR price. Any idea how many ADRs are out there?
I remember reading one article a while back that claimed KIMJF was a stalking horse for various O&G and governmental interests in Somalia with the purpose of stirring things up. The allegation was that KIMJF was a tool of big oil and the Somalia Federal Government to halt the regional governments and warlords from granting conflicting O&G licenses to juniors. It is true that Big Oil is coming back to Somalia according to the rumor mill. It is possible the same holds true for the other regions; KIMJF may be cheap insurance for some of these interests. Therefore all may not be as it seems here.
FGE is on the TSX NEX doing a slow reorganisation apparently. I expect they will eventually settle with KIMJF. Drilling partner could be anyone. The secuirty IMO is the key; a lot of problem now in Somalia.

Nigeria will cease to exist by December 2015
http://dailypost.ng/2014/06/01/nigeria-will-cease-exist-december-2015-biafra-movement-leader/
The agitation for the actualization of the Sovereign State of Biafra has taken a new dimension with a new leader of the struggle, Mr. Nnamdi Kanu declaring his readiness to fight all the way.
He said Nigeria would seize to exist by December 2015.
Kanu, who spoke at a gathering of members of defunct Biafra, including scores of its aged war veterans, vowed that he would not rest until the Republic is realised.
The event, held at Ngwo, Enugu State, was the maiden commemoration of Biafran Day on May 30th, in remembrance of the events of 1967 when the late Igbo leader, Dim Chukwuemeka Odumegwu-Ojukwu declared the Republic of Biafra.
Kalu, the Director of Radio Biafra used the occasion to unveil a multi- million naira cenotaph in memory of Biafra fallen heroes killed during the civil war.
He regretted that despite the declaration of the “No VICTOR, NO VANQUISH” after the Nigeria/Biafra civil war in 1970, successive governments including the present Goodluck Jonathan’s led administration had continued to deliberately marginalise and make life unbearable for the Igbo nation and its people.
He, therefore, called on all genuine Igbo people across the globe to rise up and join the crusade of putting in place the Biafran Republic, adding that it was time for the Igbos, to pull out of Nigeria, which he described as a failed nation, where nothing works.
Kanu noted that it was unfortunate and painful that 47 years after the civil war, the Nigerian Federal Government had bluntly refused to pay soldiers who fought on the side of Biafra all their benefits and entitlements, whereas, all their counterparts in the North and Western parts of the country had received theirs.
The Radio Biafra boss said despite all odds, they remain eternally grateful to the Biafra leader, late Ojukwu, and others who laid down their lives for the struggle.
He warned the Nigeria Federal Government not to constitute a cog in the wheel of progress of the proposed Republic.
Decrying the situation in the country, he said, “It is the watershed in the history of the geographical expression called Nigeria. It is the aftermath of the mistake of the amalgamation of the Northern and Southern protectorates by Lord Lugard”.
Kanu further regretted that 47 years after Ojukwu declared the Republic of Biafra, the reasons that led to his decision were still evident in Nigeria.
He decried the sufferings and agony being faced by common Nigerians as a result of corrupt and bad governance in the country.
He insisted that Nigeria is doomed and driven by world acclaimed selfish and corrupt leaders, who does not believe in the well being of the poor masses.
He pointed out that as long as the intention and purpose of the amalgamation of North and South were designed to cheat the South, the nation would never move forward, “because any country that makes injustice its watch word can never prosper”.
According to him, no amount of National Conference can solve Nigeria’s problem because of deep-rooted hatred among the different nationalities in the country.
Kanu further maintained that the only panacea to Nigeria’s problems is to split it into different regions, calling on Igbos to embrace and keep faith with Biafra, which he assured, will definitely come to reality.
“There is no going back, by December 2015, Nigeria would have seized to exists; we shall fight until we get Biafra, if they don’t give us Biafra, no human being will remain alive in Nigeria by that time; we shall turn everybody into corpses; you better go and buy your coffin”.
Highlight of the event, which featured dozens of Biafran war veterans from various parts of Igbo land, clad in their uniforms, was the official hand over of the leadership of Biafra to Kanu.

NEWS - Biafra and Somalia
1. Oil companies continue to push for increased security in Somalia in light of current reverses to th federal government.
2. Major demonstrations for creation of state of Biafra on may 30 given increasing unrest and disorder in Nigeria.
IMO KIMJF looking good on both counts:
1. Their last two announcements fiocused on Somalia security.
2. When Nigeria implodes - KIMJF is sitting on a super claim to the Niger Delta and inland coal fields that would presumably involve a royalty scheme in connection with the Biafra Government.
Movement for the Actualisation of the Sovereign State of Biafra (MASSOB)
The Movement for the Actualisation of the Sovereign State of Biafra (MASSOB) yesterday in Owerri, the Imo State capital demanded six new republics in the country, including Biafra Republic.
http://sunnewsonline.com/new/?p=65894
Thousands of MASSOB members who thronged the Ojukwu Memorial Centre in New Owerri in the maiden edition of the commemoration of Biafran Day on May 30 when the late Igbo Leader, Dim Chukwuemeka Odumegwu-Ojukwu declared the Republic of Biafra in I967 said it was time for the Igbo to have their own republic.
MASSOB leader, Chief Ralph Uwazuruike clad in the navy blue Biafran uniform with the other members of his group urged the Federal Government to do the will of God and let their people go.
Uwazuruike who addressed the large followers of the group with two representatives of MASSOB in the United Kingdom, Mrs Francese Joseph and Tina Joseph said May 30 was a turning point in the life of every Igbo man.
“It is the watershed in the history of the geographical expression called Nigeria. It is the aftermath of the mistake of the amalgamation of the Northern and Southern protectorates by Lord Lugard.
“It is the reflection of the deep-rooted hatred among the major ethnic nationalities in Nigeria. It exposes the irreconcilable disdain existing between Islam and Christianity. It is all about a failed state called Nigeria,” Uwazuruike said.
He pointed out that 47 years after Ojukwu declared the Republic of Biafra, the reasons that informed his decision are still evident in the country.
“The reality of May 30 can no longer be hidden, but the Abuja politicians and contractors are not deterred. They believe in the elusive one Nigeria, the one Nigeria that is their cash cow. The one Nigeria that is their source of corruption and impunity. The one Nigeria that is their instrument for inequality. The one Nigeria that is shielding them from all sorts of evils,” the MASSOB leader said.
Uwazuruike lamented that it was disturbing that it was the common man who bears the brunt of the evil perpetrated by the Abuja politicians and contractors, who he said God has hardened their hearts like Pharaoh of Egypt.
He noted that as long as the intent and purpose of the amalgamation of North and South were to cheat the South, the country would never fly.
Looking at the state of the country, he said: “The exercise was not done with clean hands. It failed to receive the blessing of God. That is why Nigeria remains a crawling baby after 50 years. The anger of God is on Nigeria. There is too much blood in Nigeria. The blood of the common man is used to sustain the evil called Nigeria. Insecurity in Nigeria can never abate. It is the sign of the anger of God,” Uwazuruike declared.
He, therefore, warned that his group would not guarantee its non-violent posture if anywhere in Igbo land is bombed or attacked by any militia or whatever group.
He said the only solution to solve problems of Nigeria was to grant independence to the six geo-political zones of the country.
“National Conference cannot solve the problems of Nigeria because there is deep-rooted hatred among the different nationalities. The hatred is so deep and cannot be wished away. We only pretend to love ourselves. The hatred is natural. It is in our blood. No amount of preaching on nationalism can change Nigeria.
“The only solution is to divide Nigeria into six geo-political zones: namely, South East (Biafra); South West; South South; North East; North West; and North Central,” he suggested, adding that was what Ojukwu tried to achieve in 1967 but was misunderstood.
U.N. Monitors Concerned Over Somaliland's Plans for Oil Security Force
Breakaway Somalia State Plans Privately Funded Force to Guard Oil Companies' Operations
http://online.wsj.com/articles/un-monitors-concerned-over-somalilands-plans-for-oil-security-force-1401471420
By JUSTIN SCHECK CONNECT
May 30, 2014 1:41 p.m. ET
LONDON—A United Nations group expressed concern this week about plans by a breakaway Somalia state to create a privately funded security force to guard oil companies' operations, according to an internal U.N. document reviewed by The Wall Street Journal.
Companies including Norway's DNO International AS DNO.OS +0.92% A and Genel Energy GENL.LN +1.04% PLC—a small British company headed by Tony Hayward , BP BP.LN +0.50% PLC's ex-chief executive and the current chairman of mining giant Glencore GLNCY -0.84% PLC—have signed deals with the government of the state of Somaliland to explore for oil. Somalia's Mogadishu-based central government says the deals are invalid on the grounds that regional governments like Somaliland's have no authority to sign such agreements.
In a May 27 letter to a U.N. Security Council committee on Somalia, the U.N.'s Somalia and Eritrea Monitoring Group said Somaliland's government has exhibited "poor transparency" in reporting the money that it has received from oil companies and "weak regulation" in its process for forming an armed force to guard oil companies' exploration operations.
"That is hogwash to say there is no transparency," Somaliland Resources Minister Hussein Abdi Dualeh said Friday in an interview. He said the government has published the signing fees it collected over the past year or so, including $750,000 from DNO and $1.8 million from a Yemeni firm. The security force, he said, would be headed by the state's interior ministry. The interior minister didn't return messages Friday.
A DNO spokesman didn't return messages Friday. A spokesman for Genel said the company supports the creation of an oil-protection force in Somaliland.
The breakaway state has been trying for several years to develop a local oil industry. Somaliland has long been more stable and peaceful than the rest of the country, and its officials have chafed at being controlled by the nation's Mogadishu-based government, which has focused on tamping down terrorist groups in recent months.
Several small, risk-happy oil companies have looked to Somaliland as a promising frontier, striking deals to explore areas that big oil companies had exploration leases on dating back to the 1980s. While some of those companies have objected to the overlapping leases, the small firms moved ahead with their projects. But in September, Genel suspended its operations due to a security threat.
Since then, Somaliland's government has hired at least two private companies to prepare reports on how the country could develop an oil-protection force, including one paid for by Genel, the UN letter says.
The most recent report, which Somaliland officials say they are following, suggests Somaliland create a force that is "government-owned but commercially operated," and staffed by 580 members of the Somaliland police force and army, the U.N. group's letter says. The Journal hasn't reviewed that report, but Somaliland officials have confirmed its content.
The force would have startup funding from an outside group—possibly a commercial investor or humanitarian fund—and have its operations paid for by oil companies operating in the country, the letter said.
The monitoring group said that without protections, that plan could make Somaliland's government "vulnerable to undue influence" from private companies or lenders backing the oil-protection force.
To avoid violating a U.N. arms embargo, the letter said, Somaliland would have to get support for its plan by a U.N. member state to request an exemption from the embargo. It is unclear whether the U.N. Security Council would grant such an exemption.
The Somalia monitoring group's coordinator, Jarat Chopra, declined to comment Friday, as did a representative of the U.N.'s Somalia committee. Mr. Dualeh, the Somaliland resources minister, said his government hasn't begun the process of seeking an exemption from the arms embargo.

Oil companies in Somalia must deal with central government
KIMJF has agreement with the Federal Government for 5% of the billion dollar ACA Block and a current NI 51-101
LONDON (Reuters) - Oil companies eyeing Somalia's exploration potential must sign contracts only with its central government, a minister said, dismissing as invalid existing deals between regional governments and companies such as Genel Energy.
The East African coastline has rapidly emerged as one of the world's hottest oil exploration areas. Waters off Somalia, a country trying to put two decades of armed chaos behind it, are expected to be the next on the radar of oil and gas companies.
Some companies have already started to move in, but they have signed contracts with the governments of two different regions, the breakaway Somaliland enclave in the case of London-listed Genel and Norway's DNO, and semi-autonomous Puntland in the case of Canada's Africa Oil Corp.
"From the perspective of the government these are not valid licences and they (the companies) should start negotiations with the federal government," Somali Minister of Natural Resources Abdirizak Omar Mohamed said on the sidelines of a conference.
"There are legal questions that need to be addressed."
Genel declined to comment on what the minister said, while Africa Oil and DNO could not immediately be reached for comment.
The central government in Mogadishu faces a huge task in trying to unite a nation with devolved powers after two decades of war and clan strife.
U.N. monitors warned in a report in July that Western commercial oil exploration in disputed areas of Somalia and discrepancies over which authorities can issue licences to firms could spark further conflict in the country.
The minister said security conditions were "sufficient" for companies that have contracts dating from before a civil war started in 1991 to return and end long periods of force majeure.
"We will honour their concessions. We will honour their rights. We want them to come back," he said, appealing to the world's largest oil company Exxon Mobil and Shell, which both had a presence prior to 1991.
In addition to the ongoing security concerns - in focus after the September 21 Westgate mall attack in neighbouring Kenya which killed at least 67 people - Somalia is yet to adopt a new petroleum law, an issue that Omar Mohamed conceded was taking "some time".
Soma Oil & Gas, a privately owned London-based company, took the plunge into Somalia earlier this year, signing a deal with the government to provide it with geological data.
When asked about the threat from pirate attacks, Soma pointed out that their incidence has fallen in the last two years due to increased naval patrols and the presence of armed security teams on ships.
Omar Mohamed was also hopeful of an end to a row between Kenya and Somalia over their maritime border, another potential threat to the hunt for resources in that part of the world.
"Somalia is ready to start a dialogue with Kenya and start discussions and resolve it in a peaceful way," he said of the frontier dispute.

French President Francois Hollande later acknowledges that the operation "did not succeed" and resulted in the "sacrifice" of two French soldiers and "maybe the assassination" of hostage Denis Allex, a member of the DGSE, France's equivalent of the CIA. Al-Shabaab claims the hostage is alive and later declares that it has killed the hostage in retribution for the raid.

Current quarterly report lists 7 separate groups with more than 5% of the stock. There is no evidence that their shares are on the market here. Based on volume I'd say the total OTC float is not more than 25 million shares.

Interesting theory but not supported by facts. Someone hammered the stock; it should come back up is all I see. The rest is hot air.
Mono has a point, someone grabbed a few million shares and when they realized this was a low float bailed out.
How about just plain irrational market pattern which will correct.
