But I have no idea why it is at the current price or how to know it will go up tomorrow or down. It's not based on fundamentals. I can't figure out why folks that buy it believe that someone else is going to buy it for higher.
Is it like some chart math that predicts it? Is it some sort of buy sell volume activity/signal that predicts it? It is over my head. I'm just stupid luck on this stock. I think GME is the thing to watch anyway. :) Is this investing or gambling?
What is your point?
Again. Spot on.
Thank you for your insightful post. We will all give it the consideration it deserves.
I got an alert but dont see anything current. Not sure what thats about
80 shares at .1650. Somebody is trying to paint this below .20.
What is the L2
You prove my point.
Im afraid we are doomed. http://www.salon.com/2014/11/19/house_republicans_just_passed_a_bill_forbidding_scientists_from_advising_the_epa_on_their_own_research/
Quote: “academic scientists who know the most about a subject can’t weigh in, but experts paid by corporations who want to block regulations can.”
I have zero desire to debate climate science. You point to your website, then I point to my website and everybody gets to find something they already agree with.
I was simply explaining what convinced me. To that end: this is a reference to the ice core samples.:800,000-year Ice-Core Records of Atmospheric Carbon Dioxide (CO2).
Contrary to your claim that "CO2 levels have been as high as 400ppm many tumes" Here is a quote:
Nice post
BS. I was truly skeptical about MMGW until I learned: 1) ice core research showing the correlation between periods of global warming/ extreme weather and the amount of CO2 in the atmosphere; 2) The fact that the levels are currently at an all-time high of 400 ppm; 3)The rising ocean levels along the Virginia and Miami; 4) The extreme weather everywhere. Eventually most deniers will all be living in an area affected by this, to name a few.
I suspect there are individuals (one or two on this board) who have a financial motive to kill (this) green tech solutions and cynically deny MMGW.
I thought that the green energy production would bring down energy prices and make fossil fuels less profitable (energy deflation) as it is in places in Europe where there are rational energy policies. But I’m afraid the abundance of fossil fuels is actually hurting the advancement of green energy (at least here in the US).
@ecomike Confirmed. Gcei too
My guess is that this news encourages the patient longs but there is a lot of money waiting for the first news of commercial success and this kind of news won't motivates them to buy. Until then I am afraid the shorts will keep manipulating this stock.
I see a lot of gap there. :)
Yeah. 50 bucks to paint it green at .46 last night and 125 bucks to paint it red at .42. Smoke and mirrors.
Me too.
That was my thinking.
That is true. However, Mike's overview of the type and number of key personnel to come on board is singularly impressive to me. I have no way of evaluating the tech in any detail. It sounds world changing. Mike does a good job of communicating a lot of key points and details. But the opinion that matters will come from the folks at lafarge, alstom, toyota, etc. And to have these folks from those very companies and have had a close look at MVTG and then to to hitch their wagon to it gives this layman much confidence.
This is a fantastic post. The points you made here inspire a great deal of confidence
Hi Peachman. Can you link to any sources that verify this statement. I dont see MVTG mentioned in that article you linked too. Thanks in advance.
Thats just silly. Does it have value? To me, only that I get notices pushed to me as alerts. Other than that I have little use for it. But it has percieved value to investors. It also shows that MVTG is trying to engage the invrstor like access to L2. But a poor reflection on the CEO - please.
I too think it is worth the wager. I have more than twice what zippy has in. But the funny thing is that zippy's cautious skepticism makes me feel better than some of the overly positive pie in the sky cheerleading. The discussion that follows is healthy. The only thing that troubles me is the dificulty in getting out. But i suppose that is what makes the potential big gain possible. And why I read this forum every day. I really appreciate everyone's point of view and contribution. I really think that what emerges is the wisdom of this crowd. The bigger the crowd the more spot on the result.

I love this idea. I only wish I could buy shares. GCEI makes energy out of plastics and this company make plastics out of CO2!

It gives me hope for mankind!
I really like this feature on Scott Trade. Thanks for sharing. Very useful
I would think this helps the case for MVGT. The current debate re future belonging to elec cars vs fuel cells focus on the prob with generating hydrogen esp from nay gas. It ignores the promise of other types of fuel cells like formic acid. The more fa fuel cells catch on the better for us. Erc takes co2 out of dirty mfg and does not depend on fosil fuel. So even if ff went away tomorrow we would still need clean cement mfg. No?
Funny.
This is very good news. The kind thay reinforces ones decision to invest. One day we will see the kind of news that rewards ones investment many fold.
Energy inflation will prevent folks from drilling and fracking eventually. But they were misleading to say that the only beneficiaries of fracking are big oil cos. As they point out later in the vid every one of us use fossil fuel. Cheap abundant energy is very important to our economy. And being the biggest producer the US is cutting dependence from the middle east. So fight if you can. When Miami and Manhattan are under water maybe then.
I listened to it. I dont see what this issue has to do with MVTG per se. The ERC is pulling CO2 from dirty mfg processes. The fuel cell does not use H from nat gas. That aside, as these alt energies come on line they will be cheaper than fossil fuel. There will be energy deflation.
MVTG is way ahead of them in terms of idea to commercial application. And I have no way of evaluating any advantages this has over the ERC that may exist. But I think its good to keep an eye out for advances in this space.
Scientists at Brown University’s Center for Capture and Conversion of CO2 have discovered that copper foam could provide a new way of converting excess CO2 into useful industrial chemicals, including formic acid.

Holy $hit. Talk about novel technology. http://www.wired.co.uk/news/archive/2014-07/31/nasa-validates-impossible-space-drive. Is this as cool as I think it us? Sorry. I know its OT
Question: under the trades tab when the value is grey, what does that signify? Green is buy? Red is sell? Grey is what?
These are small purchases at low prices as if someone is intentionally trying to knock the price down. Thats how it looks to me.
I admit I was jumpy. Truth is that there is a very compelling long case for this stock (IMHO) but it is hard to accumulate any quantity and difficult to sell quickly (at least at my brokerage). We are expecting big things but we are also getting down to the wire in terms of capital. So call my jumpy or better: wary. Go GCEI! (Fingers crossed).
A tweet from them giving some sort of reasonable explanation would go a long way right now.
