The beauty of my investment is that I took my positions over a year ago, so no capital gains taxes!
I truly hope that the data is positive not only for the investment but more for mankind overall. Does anyone grasp how much of a game changer this will be? In the next two to three generations of mankind, the pain and worries of a whole host of illnesses and diseases will be something of the past. I support the science and this company 110%.

If your comparing previous FAA certifications as "why was it so easy for such and such airline to get certified" and "Baltia is taking so long!" you have to take into consideration one major difference. Baltia will be the first airline certified in a Post 9/11 world. And in the airline industry, post 9/11 means alot. Not to mention what TheLeuitenant pointed out in his previous point that the FAA in mid certification, changed thier guidlines completely making any progress already held, void and useless. So if you want to compare apples to apples, it will be virtually impossible since there isn't another apple out there to compare to. My best recommendation to you would be to go as far back as this message board allows you to and read everysingle post up until the current ones to get a solid picture of all the various arguments, discussions and rebutles on all sorts of topics dealing with this airline. Everyone on both sides bring valid arguments, concerns and hype that will help you come to your own conclusion. at the end, all the information will weigh more to either side for you as an individual and you should go with what's the best decision for you.
Originally, Baltia was in the process of being certified in NY. For whatever reason or for whatever drawbacks there were for doing so in NY, Baltia management decided to move the certification process to Willow Run Airport out in Michigan. After settling down in Michigan, the ball really started rolling late last year and has been non stop since. The move to complete certification in Michigan was a great move by Baltia and it is the reason, I believe, they have accomplished so much in a shorter period of time then they ever had before. So yes, its been a long time. Did management adjust to an issue they identified? Yes they did. Will issues arise again? Most likely. Will Baltia fly.... theres no turning back, it will fly. Im pretty sure even the individuals who bash this airline own stock in it while you sit there and still think about it.
Because Baltia was granted exclusive rights to this non stop route back in 1989. That's the reason why this airline is unique. No other airline is allowed to fly that route from JFK to St Petersburg. So to answer your question...it's because they can't!

Well if that's true, that's great news. I mentioned that it is applied for in phase III from an article I read awhile back when I was originally investigating this issue. I hope I'm wrong and stand corrected.
It's a much better situation if Baltia has applied back in 2009 and only has to stay up to date during the process. That means, we will still be on track for this year. Please keep us updated if you find out any more info.
Economic Authority - I have to do this
I've been holding this in for awhile now, and hopefully anyone versed in this can clarify if there is any clarification to be made. I support BLTA 200% and know this airline will eventually take off, but I also want to be extremely realistic in terms. Anyone claiming a particular start date without all the facts can cause a major share price drop for no reason when said time frame is not met. We've been seeing this for years now. So being realistic is key in this situation.
Getting certified with the FAA has panned out to be A HUGE PAIN IN THE A$$ and I'm not even working for Baltia and dealing with it directly. I can only imagine what these guys are going through! God bless them all!

Economic Authority, which can only be applied for in Phase III, is a four month process from what I understand and have read. Please reference:

If this is true, this throws a major wrench in many start date predictions. I, as a supporter of this company, throw this out there so that if anyone is going to panic over this, DO IT NOW! ... and let the rest of us live.
I don't have the time nor the resources to piece together what's truly left for certification but it would be in Baltia's best interest if someone were to produce an accurate list of to do items in order to sustain a healty price climb in line with developments and not a roller coaster ride of emotions of buys and sells.
Not having a four month process even be mentioned in any sort of Due Diligence articles is a major oversight and I felt the responsibility to get this out there as soon as possible so we can over it quickly and deal with reality.

My delay in posting this earlier stems from my attempts to see if the original link has outdated information since it has a publishing date of 2009. I have not found anything to counter it so unless someone can prove this to be false, then "a minimum" of four months have to be taken into consideration after Baltia begins phase III of thier certification process.
Please keep your responses to this constructive and informative as most of us don't have time to read nonsense.

Sorry, i didn't look at the day range. I'm not surprised. Emotional investors trade that way. If an investor sold based off that article then they trully don't understand the science nor what the difference is with Inovio over other companies attempts with DNA based vaccines. Those are the halfed a$$ed due diligence types that only purchased because they read it may go up. The true value in this stock is in the patented delivery system for thier extensive pipeline of synthetic vaccinations. This is the reason why the clinical results outperform any other attempts previously made by other BioTechs within this field. I'm convinced that the Syncon Electroporation system is the game changer.
A little part of me actually wants phase 2 data to be off a bit due to some insignificant development. That way the stock can plummet and I can gobble up more shares while Dr. Kim and the boys make a few adjustments and ride the wave right back up. Let's all reflect on what happened to Martha Stewart... She panicked, went to jail and on the day she was released, the stock would have net her an obscene amount of profit. I truly believe in the science because it makes sense and is a work in progress. I as an investor can't bet that every single trial is going to be successful, I just need to weather the storm to allow enough time to prove success. Let em sell, just buy on the lows and hold.

trust me, adding more shares is worst news than a R/S because the value stays the same in the R/S. With adding shares, technically, the value of each share should drop which is why I'm baffled as to why we are maintaining the same price today. I don't think of Flyersfan as a liar, but I still have not seen any confirmation that the outstanding shares has increased to the number he claims either. So, i'm trully in Limbo for now.
Absolutely! They have to eventually disclose the date and the ratio at which the split will be at and also the type of split it will be. At an 8:1 R/S ratio at this point would reduce o/s to 560,750,000 as an exact number. So my assumption (pure speculation here) is that 4,486,000,000 is not a mistake and fortells of an 8:1 r/s at some point in time. R/S aren't bad if the company is profitable, it actually makes a company more attractive to larger even institutional investors.
I don't like dillution. If at the end of the day this is a success, then this was just another necessary adjustment that had to be made to get the ball rolling. IMO.
Where did you obtain this information from? Because one of three things is going on here.... either A) We have some of the most un informed investors since the price of the shares have remained the same. B) the shares that were added are being sold on the private market only (meaning Baltia is selling these additional shares at a discount on thier own) or C) these guys are brilliant in able to increase shares and maintain the same share price, which would make them geniuses!
Yeah, I'm not to happy about this development either. at some point an R/S will have to occur. I won't be suprised if it hits a 7:1 R/S
Is this the several "Tens of Millions" of dollars DarthPilot said Baltia doesn't have? I'm confused! Because a couple means 2, which would be 20 million, so 3 constitutes several, so the 30 million would actually qualify for "several" "Tens of Millions". Maybe it's just me, i dunno!
So from the very desk that published an article that suggests investors were "mulling legal action" comes this article breaking down in detail what to expect from Baltia. So the plan is drawn out and there is even mention, again, of vested investors intent on making sure this airline will be fiancially secure to operate. Like I said a few weeks ago, Baltia is so far along in this process, there's no turning back.
I wonder if the reference to "Bite Back" was in reference to a particular dog out there?

What you mention is called Economic Authority Permit which takes place in the final portion of FAA certification. For all intensive purposes, Baltia needs to have the financial viability to operate thier current operation. They have to provide a business plan which shows thier proposed method of operation. They have to display the fact that they are, "fit, willing and able" to conduct the operations proposed.
The question is...for comparrison purposes...How many planes did Jet Blue and Virgin operate when first certified? Hence the need for Ten's of millions of dollars. (not to mention Richard Branson, Virgin Airlines Founder, wipes his behind with more cash then that on a daily basis) There are so many small airlines we can sit here and begin to name that I'm sure didn't begin with TENS OF MILLIONS of dollars to qualify for econmoic authority. Take a trip to JFK and go to the section where all the small carriers are in the same building. LOL, some of these airlines look down right scary and you wouldn't catch me dead in one of thier planes let alone do they even appear to have ten's of millions to continue operating.
Baltia has to show the capability to operate thier one 747 from JFK to ST. Petersburg to qualify for thier economic authority. Another reason why we as investors can rejoice on the fact they began with one and only one plane.

It's beyond obvious that this guy makes a living off this. There's more profit in fear and misinformation then there is in facts and reality. And the beauty of what he does doesn't require him to take a position in a stock so that it's blatently obvious that he's manipulating stocks, I'm pretty sure if you measure the grease on his palms, then you can see how he truly profits from these two faced articles. As long as this first plane generates the income to purchase planes in the future is all that matters. Ask any Russian who has flown to JFK from any city in Russia and ask them if they would care about reupholstered seats and a 16 hour trip, or an 8 hour trip and they will all tell you they'll take the 8 hour option any day. I know this to be true because when I tell them about Baltia's plan to offer 1 stop flights from JFK, not only do their faces light up in interest, they grab a pen and paper to write the information down so they don't forget. When the current plane gets scrapped and 747,767,777, or maybe 787's are flying back and forth... the color of the interior will be so pointless along with any posts on this thread that mention it.
I'm trying to wrap my head around what time back in 2013 you took a position in INO in where it was one of your worst investments if it was sitting below $1 for the first half of 2013 and has only gone up since. It hit $4 in 2014, not 2013, so if you purchased at a 52 week high, not anyones faults. Nor does it give you any right to give an emmotional rant and claim something is a scam when they clearly disclosed that Phase II clinical trial results will be released in 2014. The only 2 factors that have driven this stock price down have been 2 Specific articles written by authors obviously trying to short the stock. One was in Seeking Alpha and the other happened 2 days ago. Once again...emotional factors that drove this stock price down, not because anything has failed.
Scam? What are you talking about? You lost money? I'm green at over 166%. I guess we were on opposite sides of the looking glass. Don't call something a scam just because you don't know when to take a position on a stock and it turns on you. Immunotherapy is one of the most promising fields in biological cures and INO has a patented delivery system that stands to change the way mankind, for generations to come, cure diseases. Scam is when a bunch of guys hop on investment forums with fear mongering so they drive stock prices down in order to benefit from shorting the stock, then purchasing at a discount to then ride the increase in value later. THAT MY FRIEND IS A SCAM.
Good Point Youlie. I would hope BLTA would only hire experienced dispatchers to begin with which would only require the 2/3 renewal course. This "training" that Baltia mentions in this PR might also be internal and specific to Baltia's operations from JFK with individuals who are already certified. I would believe that the FAA would like to see these individuals operating on site somewhere. That makes alot more sense to me since Baltia is not in the business of certifying flight dispatchers. (Here come the comments of... Baltia is not in the business of flying either cause they aren't certified yet! smh)
