The SEC should probably be investigated regardless of whether or not yet another halt was deserved here, as they have accusations of corruption for years now, several even by their own employees.
Wealthy groups are definitely capable of and have in the recent past influenced SEC actions. I'm uncertain if their actions in this sector are pure, but they definitely deserve their recent loss of public trust.
Behind their stamp and symbol of authority, the people working there are quite average attorneys - people who have the same flaws as everyone else. SEC lawyers do regularly disclose and then rotate into and out of extremely high-paying corporate positions, and are therefore quite susceptible to corruption.
It's called a revolving door, or regulatory capture - and is comparable to FCC officials accepting high-paying positions with Time Warner or Comcast.

Hey guys you aren't alone.
I watched the entire conference, and e-mailed CNN and others last week to make sure that they knew it was coming.
Very impressed with the video. I already respected these people greatly as industry leaders but now, they are slowly but surely proving that to rest of the world. They have my full support.
They are also the only cannabis company who hired a truly legitimate commercial ad company in Make it Happen Productions.
If they feel like they need to be cautious and careful while the SEC is on an irrational rampage, I can respect that. They're treating the company like their baby.
Ad company portfolio says KIA, Subway, Nikon, Demi Lovato, television channels like FX...
I may be mistaken but as far as I can tell this kind of sector advertising is a world first, just like the Milken Institute. Regardless of what happens with the company, it's still interesting just to see this kind of stuff as it happens. I think we'll have a lot of interesting memories about this sector in the future. So much more to come.
1. The only cannabis company speaking at Milken Institute non-profit, with literally a collection of the richest/most powerful people in the world.
2. Ties to 10MileFarms which is a wonderful non-profit who is improving our food with hydroponics. A real private company. Love it. Look at the quality of that website. http://10milefarms.com/
3. I find nothing but good, clean potential in the entire management team.
4. Partnerships with very legitimate Universities and other research facilities? We know little on this, but it's definitely been mentioned. Sounds great.
5. Share structure. There is a lot of info about how clean and great the share structure is. And how fast it will move once people catch on and stop being so afraid.
Nothing is guaranteed but this is the best long-term bet that I could find. The worst case scenario here in my opinion is that you donated some money to a good cause. If these guys were a charity I would probably even consider a small donation.
I'm not even going to really be watching the ticker anymore on a day-to-day basis. Getting rich quick is far too rare and difficult. Buy and hold this one IMO. Nothing in this world is guaranteed, but I do love their chances. You have to take risks if you ever want to get out of a cubicle.
New people on the fence, my advice is to stop being so afraid. Fear of losing and so never trying is likely to buy you a lifetime of mediocrity. But you do still need to diversify.
Thank you to everyone who helped post information about the company. :)
1: Growlife and the SEC
The SEC knew this would crash the entire sector. What exactly is the SEC protecting us from?

Keep in mind that Marco Hegyi who is the President of Growlife also works for Visualant.

These people have PhDs from Harvard, Stanford, MIT and history with Microsoft, Yahoo, Fujitsu, Apple, and the U.S. government.
Growlife isn't a scam, this man is 55 years old and has never participated in a scam in his life. After he's rich, Marco is going to become President of scamming people at the end of his career?
What has Growlife done exactly to deserve their harsh criticism and market crash, especially originating from the SEC who is currently being criticized both inside and out? Quite honestly I trust these people more than I trust the SEC, after multiple serious harsh insider criticisms of their own from a man who worked there for 28 years. He finally spoke up about certain SEC behaviors which need to stop at his recent retirement party:

What also stings is when Morgan Stanley and Cramer both begin simultaneously pumping their first sector-related investment target ever in GW Pharmaceuticals, after the SEC halt crashed the entire sector.

I'm not saying there is some great conspiracy, but it has become apparent to me that the SEC has SERIOUS flaws pointed out by their own employees, and this entire mess was handled very poorly by the SEC. They are supposed to be protecting investors. Not CRASHING entire market sectors, harming investors, and benefiting the one large pharmaceutical company in the sector, lawyers with class action lawsuits, and Morgan Stanley as usual who swoops right in.
2: GrowBLOX Sciences
Former co-founder of Phototron Craig Ellins has a new company in Nevada, GrowBLOX Sciences (SXLP. Soon-to-be GBLX).
He's speaking alongside world leaders here about marijuana and the economy soon, at a non-profit institute:
http://www.milkeninstitute.org
http://www.milkeninstitute.org/events/gcprogram.taf?function=speakers&eventid=GC14
In addition they have hired a veteran commercial firm in Make it Happen Productions to create a commercial for one of their new products. This firm makes commercials for Subway, Demi Lovato, and Nikon, among others. View their clients here: http://www.mihp.tv/
I found the new GrowBLOX video on a portfolio here: https://www.behance.net/davidparke
This is obviously not a typical marijuana penny stock scam. To me, this is a long-term microcap investment, speaking for a non-profit organization who regularly schedules speakers such as Tony Blair, U.S. Chief Economist for Standard & Poor's, editors of Politico, senators, governors, and Reuters.
I'm trying to inform people of legitimate companies like this, so that investors stop valuing scams at tens of millions of dollars, while GrowBLOX market cap sits at 1 million. This is a legitimate company with veterans who are actually trying to improve our society for once. I've posted this information to Ihub and e-mailed it to CNN, Fox Business, Vice, 420Investor, The Wolf of Weed Street, The Las Vegas Sun, and others.
Remote monitoring service
GBS’s remote monitoring service offers growers around-the-clock remote monitoring of their GrowBLOX™ control system and lifeline telephone support from an experienced in-house horticulturalist that can provide expert advice and troubleshooting assistance.
Data about each harvest is applied to analytic models in order to optimize grow times and yields.
To ensure the GrowBLOXâ„¢ is operating optimally, GBS Professional Services will send alerts via text, email, and telephone recommending adjustments to the internal temperature, lighting, nutrient schedules, CO2, oxygen, and pH levels.
GBS will provide in-state partners with the partner with:
Financing
Licensing
Grow rooms and labs equipped with GrowBLOX systems
Operational training and support
"We empower universities, medical research facilities, and clinical trial teams to grow consistent yields of cannabis by supplying them with GBS systems and our cannabis strains.
Partnering with these entities will lead to more reliable and accurate test outcomes, facilitate recreation of desired results, and fast-track innovation within the company as well as the industry."
I found this information because I spend several hours every day looking for investment opportunities in the cannabis sector, so that I can hopefully one day escape from a contract position with no benefits in which I am underpaid. My arms are inflamed most of the day, and while working I also get to watch bad companies tie up investor capital that would better benefit society elsewhere.
GrowBLOX is currently $2.17 per share. An article discusses market cap valuations of $25-$122 per share relative to other cannabis companies here: http://seekingalpha.com/article/2107383-signature-exploration-and-production-corp-is-the-newest-marijuana-stock
I am not interested in trading shares, I am treating this as a serious long-term buy and hold investment. It's long past time for the war on drugs to end, and I believe that this management team can help facilitate the process.

Who is the GrowBLOX competition in Nevada now that they are moving forward with legalization? We have older hydroponic industry veterans here with money, Cannabis Cup and High Times connections, land, and a massive headstart. I see NO significant competition for them in Nevada. It'll be like trying to compete with Terra Tech in New Jersey.
Nevada will become a green state.
A campaign to legalize marijuana in Nevada is underway, as activists from the Campaign to Regulate Marijuana filed a petition Wednesday with the Nevada Secretary of State to legalize the recreational use of marijuana.
The initiative comes as Nevada is implementing a taxing, regulatory and distribution structure for medical marijuana.
The proposal would impose a 15 percent tax on wholesale pot sales, while retail transactions would be taxed at existing sales tax rates. Net revenues would go into the Distributive School Account to support public schools.
Thanks, I understand. Good cannabis companies like this who speak for world class non-profits and intend to improve food with 10 Mile Farms deserve more attention, and they'll definitely get it with the first substantial PR.
I know everyone will be focused on trading which is much more exciting, but please try to hold a couple of dollars in this one.
If all we care about is making money, Craig Ellins and Todd Denkin are leaders of the hydroponics industry at a very good time. They've been preparing for this for years. How are hydroponics and grow experts with years of a headstart who give high-profile speeches about the cannabis economy and own land NOT going to make money in this environment?
But there's food improvement behind the scenes. Terra Tech has hydroponic produce, right? So you've seen how quickly and easily hydroponic food and cannabis are interchangable.
You guys are better at finding trades than me there is NO DOUBT about that. I have found you an investment that can be traded occasionally on the way up. If you're just looking for a quick run up and a total sell off this is probably the wrong ticker, maybe you should stick to 00s.
Craig and Todd will be using hydroponics to improve food quality and safety, with 10 Mile Farms. A long-term investment in SXLP should indirectly benefit 10 Mile Farms and food safety/quality/price (which is a private company, but some of the same people).

Scroll down the list to see who CEO of GrowBLOX is appearing with. It's like a list of the world's most powerful people. Treasurer of the World Bank, editors of Fox and Politico, U.S. Chief Economist, Standard & Poor's Ratings Services, Global Chief Economist, Citi, Eric Cantor, senators...
I get frustrated and have ranted to my wife multiple times, when people choose to put their money in say...kitchen-made edibles instead of this company.
You also get to feel good about what they're trying to accomplish here.
Milkin Institute at the Beverly Hilton

This is legitimate. GrowBLOX CEO scheduled to talk here about marijuana and the economy.
If you aren't familiar with the Milken Institute, others who are scheduled to speak for the Institute include former Prime Minister Tony Blair, various nation presidents, GlaxoSmithKline, and the like.
I'm not trading this, it can do whatever it wants short-term. Although few may agree with me I believe this is a long-term investment, not a trade.
The video shows that they intend to fill solar-powered warehouses with 8-feet-tall hydroponic grow machines which use less power and water, and they hired one of the best commercial companies in the world to make a video.
I just discovered a GrowBLOX video on a resume from the ad guy who did commercials for Subway, AT&T, Ashton Kutcher, and Demi Lovato.
I have to go do something but can someone mirror the video please in case it goes down? I know people in other forums will want to see this.
Obviously noone seems aware of it and I just found this, so I thought it might be important to some of you.
