Thank You, again, Millstone for Your support and guidance. Looking to grab some Oct 21 $7.50 calls on a gap fill.
Also, thank You for Your consideration in addressing me as "napkin," my preferred handle.
Wanna' thank You, AGAIN for suggesting the July 15 $5.00 calls, which I intend to exercise, Millstone.
I hope to get some 179 day out calls for $7.50, if they dip.
Thanks again.
Thank You for Your responses, Xena and ScottSmith.
Perpective long gone, and running out of patience.
Granted, Facebook IS creepy, but I would be remiss if I didn't mention that the groups I mentioned are private.
Your friend,
mark
Dear Tom,
With all die respect, I think You misunderstood me; CBD was the one who invited me into the group, and dranesthesia1 is the one who approved me. CBD is my Friend, and He's from Turkey.
I've never seen You really get irritable, but Xena acts like a temperamental woman. One night, when You and I were discussing the books I read, while living in the cabin on the top of the mountain, [late at night; maybe 2 a.m.]; she sent me a REALLY nasty p.m., telling me I was making a jacka*s of myself. I never responded, but that is imprinted in my mind.
I loathe people, who think only they have the answers, and EVERYONE else is wrong by default.
"I notice at the AVXL forum now, much of the time there seems only the same handful of posters much of the time now." Again, with all due respect, most of the really savvy people have migrated over to the groups I've mentioned, for one reason or another. There are now over 200 people in the Anavex Investors group; and the second group is growing as well.
Thanks for the continued tips.
Your friend,
mark
I thought zena was a she.
My favorite tools are candlesticks and Bollinger Bands. Whenever a stock hits the mid-point of the Bollinger Bands, I watch. Ideally, a reversal candle at the lower band, followed by a confirming candle is an extraordinary buy signal to me.
In most cases, I prefer averaging up than averaging down.
Please keep posting, despite the naysayers. I ALWAYS pay attention to Your charts, recognising the time You put into them, and the many aspects You employ.
And YES, I ALWAYS appreciate people who refer to me by my newly dubbed handle "napkin" {no capital "n"].
PS - My Facebook participation was enabled by another poster unfairly targeted by the AVXL administrators [whom, incidentally, I think should be replaced], cbd. Should You ever wish to be a part of two extraordinary groups, contact Dr Ivan, who changed His handle to "dranesthesia1."
You needn't ty to convince me. I believe in Fibonacci numbers.
Zena remains unconvinced.
If I criticise "her," I get deleted.
When I defend You, I get deleted.
Thank goodness for the impartial private Facebook investors' clubs, where NO-ONE gets deleted.
I rarely post there, anymore, Tom.
The private group "Anavex Investors" recognizes the folly of IHub administrators and allows much unrestrained back and forth.
The deletion of Your latest comment is what I refer to as the hypocritical, biased, craven manner in which the AVXL administrators operate.
An observation and a question:
I believe that today's gap up from $5;57 to $5.71 should be considered a "breakaway gap" and need not fill based on the PR.
Question: I own [only] eight July 15, 2016 $5.00 calls. Is there a program that shows what the value of these calls would be based on the underlying value of the stock, itself?
MANY TIA.
Thank You for Your prompt and cogent explanation Eagle. Thank You for Your concurrence Mapman.
As an ESL teacher for nearly four decades in a dozen different countries, I'd not have known that You were not a native speaker, Eagle. Too much weight is placed on grammar, when communicability is the key, and You do that VERY well; far better than many of my best students.
Be proud of Your linguistic ability - I am proud of You.
Remember, VERY few native English speakers even try to learn a second language, and of those few, even fewer do so as well as You.
I hope You [BOTH] don't mind if I come to You, as my options reach meaningful levels - Jimmy, Raja, and Millman, who first planted the idea of options in my head, too.
WellSpring: "I purchased July $10 calls back in December when stock was in 8's. Seemed like a no-brained then, so just a word of caution. Still time to make money on that one though. ;)"
Thanks for Your comment WellSpring.
Eagle: "Good to take the options as far as possible. You always have time to switch when needed."
And, Thank You, for Your comment, Eagle.
I hope I'm not asking too much when I ask; could You elaborate on "switch when needed."
MANY TIA
Thank You for Your response, Eagle. Mapman had recommended the October $2.50 calls, commenting that they have little risk.
I'm sorry for any comments confusing You and He.
Risk is not my major concern [reward IS], so I will be trying to buy some October 2015 $5.00 calls. I REALLY need a homerun, this time around, and the six months give ample time for this company to prove its results.
MANY thanks to You BOTH for Your responses and concerns.
PS - I dream with You Cb.
Mapman, would You kindly share the AVXL options, which You consider most promising.
With all requests I make for comments, comes a guarantee that it is I who makes the ultimate buy/sell decisions, and I NEVER hold ANYONE accountable, who gives me advice for the decisions I make.
I take FULL responsibility for my buys./sells.
PS I have [only eight] July 15 $5.00 calls, and am fully comfortable with them.
Thank yOU josh.
From my vantage point, it seems to me we have a four cent gap, and this no breakaway gap, so . . .
ANY comments gratefully appreciated.
Thank You for Your response, Millstone.
INDEED!
ANY thoughts as to why AVXL is moving, today [albeit on modest volume]?
Thanks TomP1 and Reckless.
THE most ethical investment I've seen in my Lifetime.
"Napkin :: this may be a result of a change in implied volatility. Just a guess"
Thanks for the response Webdings, and thanks for using my REAL handle "napkin. [no capital "n," thanks]"
Anyone, please, the address for the Facebook page - I can't seem to find it.
I certainly don't understand options. Any thoughts as to why the stock was up 5.84%, yesterday's session, yet my July $5.00 calls were down 3.49%.
MANY TIA.
*Could* be a PR Monday to kill the sell the news crowd. *Could Be.*
"Can't even break five dollars it took only five days to come down from $14 it's taking months months to even try to get back up there even if it gets back up there and they'll take it down in three days"
PLEASE try to use some punctuation marks so we can try to discern what "you" say, mr. contrarian indicator.
Couldn't access the board until just now.
I have found Japanese candlesticks VERY predictive. Look at the two at the high.
Cryptographic, I'd say.
And this one: "And we're down on high-volume once again no fail can we say on the for next week maybe"
"$14.83,high volume was huge many bought there or a little lower. Many in the red."
$14.83 less than twenty million - ~ three weeks later MORE than thirty million.
I think Raja's point is a good one on top of DrIvan's good post. When I read DrIvan's post, I presumed He was being conservative in His projections and analytically basing it only on givens we now expect.
Raja expands upon that, as there is, in my opinion, myriad possibilities for this compound that may unexpectedly reveal themselves.
How's about: Expect the unexpected.
VERY well said, Circa [and thanks, George].
Maybe all three.
"Any representation otherwise is either ignorant, false or bashing."
Yeah, I don't get the respect AF thing at all - for as long as I can remember, AF has been spoken of with nothing but contempt [well-desrved contempt, I might add].
As for the toxic financing thing, I thought this was completely settled and understood by most of the board shortly after that deal was reached.
Why is it resurfacing now?
Thank You for Your response, Mike. Thank You for Your response Drivan.
I missed "Happy Hour," AGAIN [sigh!].
GREAT analogy, here, Ipulater Man:
"It's like there was a horsefly biting you and the other campers got mad because you didn't tell them about it, instead of continuing to cook the great BBQ they were about to have. Sheesh!....kabob!"
Your spacing between "Sheesh!" and "kabob!" is sublime.
"More fake asks I don't want this to go up."
"you" don't want this to go up? Why?
BUT, I DO believe in the science, whether or not Missling ever cuts his hair or not.
I sure am glad we have josh to confirm reality!
YAY - no more corruption to affect AVXL: "Free at last, Free at last, Thank G-d almighty, free at last."
Well stated, Miss Australia - I would add that personal attacks wherever they occur diminish us all.
When I try to attract others to AVXL, I post the website, the SAB, and this forum.
There IS a great deal of wonderful info contributed by MANY, here; but attacks aimed at whomever IS unseemly.
Some may bristle at this suggestion, but I'm going to make it anyway: Why NOT proofread every post?
I proof EVERY post I've EVER made. Then when I post it, I re-proof it. What's wrong with trying to be the best we can be?
And in plain REAL english that means what?
Thank You for that clarification, Citrati.
Thank You, Miss Australia for an excellent response, and ALL you contribute to this board.
