Ha! Sucks to be you!
VPOR 6th on IHUB top 10 active stocks. Reminds me of OWCP, which ran from sub-penny to a max of about 3 dollars recently. LOOOOONG $VPOR!
I'm in this for the long run. I believe this can go higher with multiple news events!
What was that one penny stock trading pattern called? When:
1) Just finished a few days run up
2) On the open for a few hours the bulls and the bears are struggling win
3) bulls win
Doesn't this indicate another breakout?
My fidelity account says .007, internet quotes say .0055. What gives?
Biggest red flag here is that there's no demonstration of the electric grinder. In every video they put already ground up MJ in to the dispenser/grinder. Why not demonstrate the electric grinder? Does it even work?
Wheres the pr or document for the IRB approval? Also i sold two days ago, think i have time to buy in vefore next surge?
I think regardless of what happens in the next few minutes, this thing is going to increase in value. Profit takers have shown up, naturally. But there will continue to be pre-conference interest in OWCP.
UP 10K USD TODAY! Congrats to all gainers! I don't 100% know why this thing is flying the way it is, but I have a huge hunch it's because the conference is creeping up on us. Also the news about GWPH making a new branch in the U.S.
damn I wish I didn't sell my calls. I still have many shares, but shit. This things going to run tomorrow huh?
Non-opec countries to cut 600k barrels per day.
I just sold out of my 160 CHK calls @ 9 dollar strike. Learned a hell-ton. First... if the stock is going to inch up short term, it's best to buy the slightly out of the money calls... especially in this case, because the time value depreciated at about the same rate as the increase in the calls due to the slow inching up. But the 6 dollar strike calls for january 20th are like 4 times the value that I had them at mid november. I thought the cumulative implied volatility and the time left coupled with the low price would cause the contracts to appreciate by a hefty multiplier (unfortunately wrong, slightly above breaking even). What contracts are you looking at?
hah yeah... 45 dollars is still a nice dinner, or half a week of groceries. It'd be 120 now xD minus commission
nvm, im stupid. 45 dollars lol
Damn, if i sold now I would make 450 bucks minus commission lmao.
I'm writing this message to log an experimental fake day trade. Buy CHK @ 7.49, 2000 shares, 14971 USD.
I agree, Can't hurt though lol. I don't think institutional buyers buy stocks based on what Cramer says, but who knows... Maybe the small time private investors who watch his show could help the rally. I hope so.
Wasn't this a week ago? Or did it happen again today? I remember he said that he was warming up to it, and he's considering it to be a buy.
CHK says it's selling its non-core assets. I am not familiar enough with it's assets and what revenue is generated from them. If there's reason to believe that one (or some/all) of its non-core assets could generate enough revenue (with low enough operational costs) to justify a buyout, despite CHK's debt. Well that would be great. Because the potential for even buyout rumors are usually not priced in the stock. All it takes is for some analysts to project a possible buyout and CHK can rise up significantly. This actually happened recently back in February. Granted the stock was trading at 2.39 USD.
It still has a ton of debt to repay within the next few years. I don't see what the incentive to buy them out would be, unless a greater company can put their assets to better use through vertical integration... or because they can employ capital that CHK can't to profit more from their assets.
thanks! stickied.
Oh. Either way, great job. Can I ask how a moderator stickies things? There's nothing in the guide about it.
I would love to sticky the post, unfortunately I don't know how to as a moderator yet lol. Also, what APIs/language did you use to get that information if you don't mind me asking?
Wow! What a kickass table! I'm going to sticky this if'n you don't mind. Also, where did you get this kind of table? 85.3% is the peak trend up, let's hope CHK does that!
Where do you think CHK goes from here in the next few days? I'm debating selling my call options... breaking even from when i took profits on my previous CHK contracts. But I don't want to.
Does anyone know when the meeting will begin and be adjourned?
Hehe, I'm kind of hoping for the opposite short term. I'm in with 160 risky CHK call contracts @ 9 dollar strike, january 20th, riding on 6$ call contract profits. My belief atm is that since CHK was at 8 bucks two months ago, probably on the plummet of nat gas... if every good possibility happens (OPEC cut, weather forecasts, more bullish rhetoric from the likes of the media... etc...), I can at least sell the contracts for a hefty multiplier that I bought them at. So let's hope if a dip does happen, it allows you enough time to buy in before sharply rising so I can sell my contracts :D.
Can't wait for tomorrow! SA's comments about oil prices stabilizing without any output reduction was disheartening, but we'll see. I just want to see, I care about the outcome, but not as much as I care about the fun market drama at this point. As for CHK, it's being lauded by progressively more analysts (including JC), the nat gas price has been rising on colder forecasts, the God Emperor has risen (adding to the volatility). What a time to be alive! Good luck to all you CHK longs!
We've been over this. Yes it is.
Maybe the institutional buying as detailed in that article I linked in my last post.

Sold my CHK 9$ strike price January 20th calls yesterday, wish I didn't because it's up. I took profits on my 6 and 7 dollar contracts, and now I'm riding on house money for 9$ contracts that I bought back today. Going to hold them until they're highly profitable.
wow, nerves of steel right there.
Well I didn't mean to suggest that you're trying to pump the stock. I've traded a lot of penny stocks before, and usually when someone spends tons of time on a board debating or just posting about why a stock is a grand slam, they're just pumping. So when I see people with obvious understanding of the market posting a lot on large cap stocks like CHK, I wonder why they're doing it. Also, I think you'll agree that posting personal notes on the internet is a bit unconventional. So I don't think I'm unjustified in asking what your game is.
Wow, I've lost track of this one! about a 4 bagger off the lows!
Well I'm sure all of this infomation can be found in their investor presentations.
This company has a majority of its assets in Wolfcamp. I have read that the estimated 900 billion dollars worth of oil in that area is actually just the price per barrel of oil, multiplied by the estimated number of barrels. However, whether or not the oil can be pulled up at a profit (it could even be a loss) is one determinant of whether or not the oil is anything to be excited about. This looks like a mostly dead board, but I'm wondering if anyone here has any input on the known geological factors of Wolfcamp, and whether or not PXD has the capability to employ its assets efficiently enough to drill at a profit (given these factors) if the oil price increases over the foreseeable future. I'll be doing DD in the meantime, and report anything I find interesting (given I don't lost interest along the way).
Ok, If I'm betting on CHK.. it's not because there might be a cold winter. I'm betting on it riding the coattails of the oil price and nothing more. It seems naive to bet on the weather.
I'm like any other gambler, just looking for the largest possible increase on a small amount of money.. That's why I'm trading naked derivatives. As for oil, CHK was at 8 dollars just two months ago. Oil has gone down, and I think that if oil goes up there could be frenzy buying. Which might happen on the 30th. That's why im doing it.
