As a Canadian follower of of Zeev’s thread since SI days – I get the impression that US is having a second civil war.
- North against the south
- The Union against the South
- Banks/insurance against the American worker
I hope this does not force retaliation in future bill votes in the house and senate, or possibly even a increase in a protectionist attitude. It could further hurt the American economy.
Nevo Thankyou for the picture.
I’ve PM several times over the years with your dad about mostly where to invest, mostly longer term. I’m from a different country who has read every word that your dad has posted, whether on SI in the pre bubble days or on iHub, and had the utmost respect for his vison. I lurk on Zeev’s board and have gained much from his wisdom and others of understanding the present, before attempting to predict the future. I remember one argument we had several years ago about the high deficit the US gov’t was running and how it would play out. He was right. One can make investment decisions with different criteria but the end result is what counts. Guessing the future is now firmly in his hands. Please accept my sympathy and I hope it adds to the extreme pride I know your whole family feels for this man.
I think the 666 is a function of a even share purchase prior to the reverse split that left the person with that quantity. I know this .. but it wasn't me selling my 666
Elmer since you opened the board to philosophical feelings about AMD and Intel I want to say this………
Company loyalty is an admirable trait that is seriously lacking in numerous other companies. I admire the Intel proponents on this thread that I’ve followed for many years. The investment of money into Intel stock has however been seriously the opposite to the ecstatic emporia that currently exists with the group here. The competion should definitely be chastised for poor performance of late with regard to new products. The Intel performance of just getting over the highs set in 2003 and possible not even touching the highs of 2004 in the short term future (and I’m not mention the highs in the bubble) does not indicate to me that Intel is blowing any one away when the SP500 handily beat any investor who loves Intel stock.
Admit it you made more money betting with and against the competion than your long term holdings of Intel has made.
Back to lurking … just my opinion
Cool..
Globetel is only one member of the Forum (over 150 companies)
They are not even on the BOD
How many Telecom companies are there in the world ?
Globetel is not the principal, but the student

I find it myself, interesting that Iridium's only and larger competitor is called Globalstar
"occassionally i will see a poster staing "don't post often," and if they haven't posted in months but have been an i-hubber for years, then maybe there are a "few" true longs just checking in on the sentiment by the street on their investment -pit"
You're right pit ... but when it's close to the stop you get nervous ... most shares aquired at .08 pre R.split.
back to getting board sentiment
like your contributions... Bob
I can't get over the fact that in the last several weeks how many times I've logged on to Ihub and it say's I've got xx number of messages and I go to read them and I'm shown the AMD header????????
I've only got the two girls on ignore at iHub
Got 40 min. - listen to this on naked short shares
http://cfrn.net/investigates/budburrell2.m3u
could be that intel was keeping it a secret because some people might remember the first time intel gave money to Mu in the late 90's and got the "shaft"
Re:"..... Just another dumb question...........what if there are not enough shares available at the current prices for the shorts to buy......"
I will gladly sell them all my shares at $3.75 per share to cover their shorts.....<gggggggggggggggg>
articles like this bode well for Gtel

I tend to swing trade to begin with so this will be a long time hold, not that it isn't going back lower in the short term, but with the military interested I think this is much more than possible double. JMO
anybody been watching Gtel - Long term potential I think
disclosure: currently long since .07
"RLW: BTW, haven't seen Tecate lately.
Boy, you haven't been paying attention!"
I haven't seen tecate either, but as a long time lurker with only one person on ignore - you might guess why I haven't
I for one, would give up 4 or 5 cents per share in Q1 to see AMD's PR co-sponsor a high budget HP 4op server advertising campain to offset IBM's blade sever by Intel. This would IMHO give dramatic share price appreciation come Q3-Q4 with flash profitability and market share gains.
MSFT - weaker
(I hear it's becuase they've been barred from world travel, you know how sensitive they are to virus's <g>)
