Unfortunately for us, you are mistaken.
Before the EPA will do anything there is a public comments period. That is open until October 17.
And BTW I will tell you that I have looked through some of the comments and majority of them appear to be negative. Clearly the opposition is motivated and is posting a lot on the site.
I strongly urge you and everyone reading this to take the time to post a pro-Pebble comment. If nothing else it my level the playing field and speed up the process of withdrawal, which is not guaranteed yet.
see below:
The Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) Administrator and Region 10 Regional Administrator are requesting public comment on this proposal to withdraw the EPA Region 10 July 2014 Proposed Determination that was issued pursuant of the Clean Water Act, to restrict the use of certain waters in the South Fork Koktuli River, North Fork Koktuli River, and Upper Talarik Creek watersheds in southwest Alaska as disposal sites for dredged or fill material associated with mining the Pebble deposit, a copper-, gold-, and molybdenum-bearing ore body.
EPA agreed to initiate this proposed withdrawal process as part of a May 11, 2017 settlement agreement with the Pebble Limited Partnership (PLP), whose subsidiaries own the mineral claims to the Pebble deposit. The Agency is taking today's action to afford the public an opportunity to comment on the rationale for the proposed withdrawal.
Oh and FYI, it takes about two minutes to do it. So there's no excuse not to
I would like to urge all of you please take a moment and write a public comment to the EPA regarding Pebble before the deadline.
Obviously, as investors we should be urging them to withdraw the preemptive veto. Here's a link to the EPA website to make it easy for you. I just did it. Thank you to all In advance and GLTA!

Great point.
Agreed.
I listened to it too. Thanks for posting link. Very positive!
Yes, that's a valid question.
IMHO I'm not sure the current new company (AAL) as it stands would be paying legal fees for the pre-merger bankruptcy version of it's older self? Would it? My assumption is legal fees for its own bankruptcy would be born by the old entity. And the only vestiges of that old entity (AMR) would be the value of reserved in the DCR. Am I wrong? Wouldn't that make sense? Unless there is some kind of a cash reserve for legal expenses set aside for the bankruptcy? I was just operating on the assumption that the DCR was that fund.
I'm not a bankruptcy attorney, and I have no insight into this, other than just an assumption and what I would assume to be common sense. Thoughts? Believe me I hope I'm wrong on this, and there is a separate fund set aside for the legal fees. Or the new corporation is on the hook to pay them.
I tried reading through a few pages of it. It sickens me. What's really sad is I can just see the lawyer hours heading up up up, for all parties involved.
Very funny, and it's pretty clear, that it's the legal teams that are gonna make all the money on this stuff. It makes me very pessimistic that there will be any stock left over in the DCR :(
Agreed 100%
I was at the Phoenix rally last week and I saw it with my own eyes (which is why I went). It was sold out, packed. Met a miner from Jerome, AZ btw (coincidence) wish I could have discussed our mine.
Trump knows infrastructure and mineral resource jobs are a quick pipeline (pun) to job numbers and growth. He's no dummy, don't believe the MSM or the hype. His base is motivated and standing by him, and Alaska needs these jobs.
I don't think so. This is just automated trading. The severe spikes and valleys that occur because of stop loss orders and computerized platforms. At least that's what I'm hoping. It's not his style the seller things they just trimmed he still has 97% of his holdings in AAL, at least he did.
Yep. Blatant, sad and predictable.
What the hell??!!
What's going on with this turkey? God I should have bailed on everything when it was 52
The burden of proof resides on the petitioner (Diaz) who I predict will have no evidence to back up there claims, as neither did the kerrisdale report.
Unless they have some private eyes amassing evidence, those shadowy and supposed former insiders, and heresay and rumors, will not be admissible in court.
Well here we go again. Always the slowest to rise in good times, and the worst to be punished in bad. It seems like this cycle just repeats only now it's in the 45 to $50 range. The way it used to be in the 25 to 30, then 35 to 40 etc etc.
Good point. Hope they do. Soon please.
Believe me, I am unhappy to be correct.. :)
And they seem to add 6 month increments repeatedly. I don't understand it. Like they want to prolong it or something...
No, I believe you are mistaken about that. There are several cases that filed and were granted extensions. That's why they haven't filed anything recently on the dockets, like the island of Puerto Rico for example. And I take no joy in stating this btw.
Why do you keep reposting this? It's like the 5th time you've done it??
It's almost 4 months old, and completely different than Pebble.
I don't mean to be negative, but even a cursory glance at the advisary and main case dockets show a dismal amount of stuff still being batted back and forth between lawyers and the BK court.
I wouldn't hold my breath that there is any speedy resolution to this. Hope I'm wrong, just sayin'.
I think we are going to be stuck checking district court dockets for records on that. They would probably only post notices when things are finally resolved, but I really don't know if they will even then, since it's a completely separate court.
Gosh darn it, our stock has turned into the little engine that could!
I agree completely and unfortunately. Thanks for the DD over the years btw checking the court records along with me. We're both being rewarded finally imho. (By the pps)
I just went to send a shout out to all of us old-timers here, and you know who you are, who have been on this board with the stock for a nice number of years. Congrats on holding out to $52. I'm gonna keep with it I think you can go a lot higher. But congrats to all of us.
Yes you are correct, one case in particular regarding retiree pilots and pensions is going to be heard by an appeals court. So that is going to tied up for a while. But hey the bright news is the price per share right
Now this more like it. C'mon!
I've been here through both Obama terms. I'm not going anywhere, and I believe strongly this will progress, and we will be rewarded handsomely. Not necessarily on our timeline. But it will happen.
This is awesome too!
You rock. Love your work.
WOWEE Wowza!! What are the odds they're talking about us!!??
that's awesome DD, thanks!!
Geesh,, this bird just can't fly... what the hell?!
Yep. Agreed. Every long should be highly proactive on this. Absolutely.
If not, your just helping to shoot yoursef and us all down on this highly shorted stock..
I talked to Scott trade, and customer assistance told me that it depends on the kind of account you have.
If you have a margin account, it's in the legal disclosures that they are allowed to use your shares for shorting. I don't know how effective your strategy is.
If you have a cash account, they are not allowed to use your shares for shorting. Just an FYI. Direct from the horses mouth
I am willing to bet very good, hard earned money that this is probably one of the most truthful and accurate posts that has been on this board for a while. I for one am getting kind of sick of the banter here. But I think this is a good post, you're probably right bud. Thanks for this levelheaded opinion.
Well one things for sure, he still appears to be very bullish on his own company's stock.
God I hope not. Can't this bird hold altitude ever?
I totally agree. I am more than just a little hesitant to celebrate. But it sure feels right this time.
Well, hope you're wrong.
For now.
Again, what I was saying is that the others are creeping up to us. And that is exactly what is going to happen.
A while from now it's not going to be such a big problem because we are going to be evenly matched. Just watch. We have the newest and youngest fleet and they're gonna try and catch up to us, and the only way for them to do that is debt...
It's already starting..
I set a good until cancelled limit sell at $6 on all my shares.
Just to lock them up, and keep them out of the short-able pool.. :)
Everybody should do their little part, I figure..
I personally like where this is headed. I'm happy if it stabilizes anything over $44 a share. So this is gravy for me. I'm still going to hang on for that 60+ target, call me a dreamer. Somebody's got to do it baby
What you're not take into account is how much the other majors' debt has crept up towards ours. United is now at 13 bil and deltas at 9.25 bil. They're slowly catching up to us bud. Just like Doug said they would.
