James - I think you're dead on and plan to do the same. Just hoping we hear something on 2/17 to give it that brief pop. Simply too much lost opportunity holding this dog. And, as you said, FDA is just gonna keep screwing with it.
JL - you seriously gonna buy more? Right now this stock looks hopeless and broken. If it ever gets to $2 again, I think I'll dump all my shares and wait for the next $1.80 or lower pullback. Seems like the only way to make money here.
I'm also expecting a flock of pigs to fly over my house in the morning:)
We're sinkin like the Titanic here! Was 2015 the high water mark?
Newby here, picked up a few shares yesterday on the dip to the low 3's. Trying to understand all the near-term hype over ATNM. Aren't they just beginning a Phase 3 study? What, if any, near term catalysts are gonna drive the price higher? Thanks in advance for any info.
JL - Thanks as always for the reply. I sure hope you're right about something big. The glass half empty part of me worries we'll just get some BS about lingo AMRN reps are allowed to use which would cause me to jump on a plane for JT's house! I'm gonna sell some shares before new year just to offset some gains (now there's a positive for owning AMRN!) Anyway, gotta keep the faith.
Tragic story about your former classmate. Guess you do never know.
All the best,
Montana
JL - I gather you're still hopeful the 1A settlement talks are gonna give us something substantial (aside from just clarification on the language AMRN reps will use with docs)?
So, is anyone still upbeat on the outlook for AMRN? My beat is a little down today. The 17th is just a week from Thursday and it doesn't seem the market is expecting much. Guess we'll see. If history is any guide it's probably gonna be extremely underwhelming.
BB - I'm gonna go out on a limb and guess that FDA gets their budget and the cases are never even mentioned. Not saying it's right, but looked at how F'd up congess is. This won't even be on their radar.
Chas - You mean, how about FDA do the right thing? Surely, you can't be serious!
Thanks HD!
Invest - good analogy. My hopes aren't real high either (well, my hopes are, but expectations are not). I'm afraid it is going to be extremely underwhelming.
HD - I didn't have time to listen to JTs presentation. Is that a direct quote from him? Thanks
Nope
622 - You are obviously a novice at the investing game, or at least company valuations. Should a BO occur it would be based on the market potential of Vascepa. If R-It is a big success, that market potential would be quite large (I'm not gonna throw out any numbers). Point is, in a successful R-It scenario the current pps is completely irrelevant.
JL - You still with us?
HD - Thanks!
HD - Where did you find the enrollment numbers? Thanks in advance.
Good question PittKid. Seems at the end of the day that the Federal Death Agency (FDA) can do about whatever they want.
Buy away. I've got a bunch you can have for $3
Rose - sometimes I wonder if there will actually be any run-up to interim given that no one knows for sure when interim will occur. I mean, it's not like interim is some kind of etched-in-stone, binary event where the date is known.
Thanks Danbury
If something substantial does not come out of the 12/17 settlement w/FDA, is there much point in holding this thing through 2016. I say this based on the high likelihood that R-It will not be stopped at interim. Don't get me wrong, not trying to one-up Mog, just thinking AMRN could be pretty dead money for another 12 months or more (or worse if dilution is needed).
Just thinking out loud...
BB - Can you divulge anything regarding the content of those emails?
BB - Don't forget to take your lithium today:)
My pa always used to tell me I should never wrestle with a pig cause both me and the pig will just get dirty. Difference is the pig will enjoy it.
Suggest everyone follow that advice before bantering with Mog.
Mog - we've got you down as a dilutionist, so no need to keep reminding everyone.
JL - thx for all the info from the conference. I find your conversation with the lawyer a little disturbing. It doesn't sound to me like AMRN has the cahonas to go for the juggler. Playing way too nice with the FDA. Anything substantial on 12/17 seems like a very remote possibility as I highly doubt that AMRN's legal team is going to start perusing the IHUB board for ideas (no offense intended to you or all the great folks who contribute to this board). It seems AMRN doesn't get it which is quite sad.
JL - Thanks for the response. Always look forwaed to your posts!
JL - I'll be the first to admit I'm a neophyte when it comes to the medical field (by the way, I have a BS and MS in ChE from Montana State U), but I was surprised at your statement that medical types may not be convinced that shrinking plaque will decrease risk of a heart attack. It just seems intuitively obvious that it would decrease risk (bigger inside diameter of the pipe is better isn't it?
So what does motivate Docs? My younger brother (who's wife is a doctor) says the reason they nail coffins shut is to keep the oncologist from administering another round of chemo. It's not money is it?:)
Thanks JL but I'm not gonna hold my breath:)
JL - "but freely told us they were working with the FDA on the "truthful info" promotion issue. This means to me that the negotiations do not involve the promotional language"
You lost me in the above. "They told us they were working with FDA on the promo language issue but negotiations do not involve the promo language issue".
Seems contradictory? You're much smarter than me, can you help me understand your logic?
Thanx
BB - I really hope you are not holding your breath awaiting Congress to do something. If so, please post your address so we can have the paramedics standing by:)
622 - I'll take two of whatever you're smokin:)
JL - Thanks. Was just in Montana a couple weeks ago for a few days. Truly is God's country. Yea, like so many here I've been holding for what seems like forever. I seldom post but sometimes just gotta vent a little. By the way, I always look for your posts. Your knowledge, and sharing of it, is greatly appreciated!
What do you expect come Friday regarding any settlement?
If they don't and all we get is another FDA delay, the PPS is gonna keep drifting lower, bank on it. The pisser is, another delay is most likely exactly what will happen.
Marzan - I assume you're expecting something positive Friday from the FDA negotiations. Sure hope you're right but not holding my breath as pps continues to drift down.
Just got off the phone with the Judge. He's waiting for his buy order to be filled at $2.30 before releasing his ruling:)
raf - I'm thinking the same as you. Let me add, how many companies have products they could promote off label based on truthful/non-misleading info from a FDA sanctioned study (e.g., Anchor). In other words, how unique is Amarin's situation?
HD - thanx for posting the docs. Good Lord, our gov (at least the FDA) is an embarrassment!
JL - very well said. I think you should email your post to Amarin's attorneys.
