Not fully sure what your point is. All I am saying is given what just happened with the marine patents that I believe the Reduce It patents to be just as vulnerable. Remember, the courts don't give a rip regarding trials the FDA may have mandated (Reduce It). If generics challenge the Reduce It patents, there is a good chance (I believe) that a judge would rule them as obvious due to Jelis.
One could argue the same with the Marine patents. If the patents were so obvious (as deemed by the courts), why did the FDA make them run the Marine trial? We've learned many lessons the past few months. One of them is the courts don't consider what the FDA requires. As Gabor said, legal obviousness differs from regulatory. Don't get me wrong, I couldn't disagree more. It's a bullsh*t system.
Well, I've been around since pre-Anchor Adcom. It's gotta be worth more than where we are now. How much more, I have no idea. Primarily because nobody seems to have a clue what EU revenues might be. I've been at the point of throwing in the towel the past week or so but haven't been able to hit the sell button. Guess there's a part of me that figures my financial future is already destroyed so might as well go down in flames.
You got company. We are all fck'd
Without a BO, it's gonna be a long, long time before we see those prices
Let's see what they report at the end of Q3. Hopefully it is not zero
HDG - Agree. We saw that with the Marine patents. Questions like, "if it's so obvious, why did the reg agency (FDA) require a trial?". Ridiculous as the whole situation is, your statement "scientific proof and legal obviousness are different animals.
CBB - what do you see as peak revs in the EU?
HDG - I agree with your take on Reduce It patents. Based on what happened with Marine patents, they’ll be invalidated in a New York minute
HDG - Echo ILTs response. Really gonna miss you! Thx for your final thoughts.
Raf - Are you gonna pose the questions to Bhatt and management? Go for it!
That he even talked with anyone. The rest is irrelevant
What a crock
Hope so. I'm actually in the black on a trade this morning!! Who-hoo!
Kycc - Much appreciated!
They might well drive this below $3. Guess we'll see
Yea, conspiracy theory which I'm normally not into. But, think about all the money that stands to be lost (surgeries, other meds, etc.). As we've learned through this journey, never underestimate the depths of human depravity (e.g., Fauerstein, etc.)
I'll throw a theory out. It's possible AMRN has been the victim of many "forces" that do not want V on the market and those "forces" managed to sink it's US prospects.
If true in the US, why could the same not happen with the EU?
Any guesses on the bottom? Is there a bottom?
MC - Thx, great paper! So, what precisely does “compared to” mean? Based on the P* values in Kura table, generics (and Du) say EPA had significant APO B reduction while control did not. Is that a “compared to” analysis?
LBL - pardon my ignorance but label rewrite? Combo pill?
Wasn’t big on the bare back (to slippery). Logged plenty of miles in the saddle though
Kiwi - Must be open carry? To be honest, never thought about it much. It’s a different life. During hunting season, everyone has a gun rack in their truck. So yea, open carry!
Thanks LBL!
LBL - good to hear from you! Your posts always have a certain reassurance to them. Thank you.
What do you figure AMRN is worth at this point? (Considering EU/ROW)
Kiwi - you interpreting incorrectly. With what I would do I have no problem sharing my name and address. Hell, I’d even throw in my phone number. It’s no crime to point out a decision was rendered based on doctored evidence and false testimony.
Kiwi - sure is. Beautiful country. Agree, generic launch should be priced in. But, this is AMRN.
Anyone else thinking we might see the 2's again? Not sure I would even rule a buck out. Any near-term catalysts are apt to be of the negative variety such as a generic launch.
TTE - good to hear from you! Was wondering. We're all sucking hind tit here.
Paddy - I think it's a great idea. How do we go about doing it?
I hear you. It's gotta suck
I sent the following to IR today:
Elizabeth,
Hello and hope things are well. As you know, things are not well with Amarin. I'm sure you're hearing this message from many but, the company really needs to be sold. If for no other reason, and there are many, from a humanity perspective. Amarin has developed and proven a miraculous medicine. Truly life saving!
Sadly, as things currently stand, it won't be of much benefit to the American people. But, it can be of benefit to the rest of the world. However, for that to happen, Vascepa needs to be in the hands of a company with the necessary resources and infrastructure. Amarin is not that company. This notion of going it alone in Europe is comical on its face and will lead to the early demise of many people.
I don't know what goes on in John Thero's mind but, if he cares about helping humanity he will negotiate a sale of the company. His current stance indicates he doesn't give a rip about others. I pray and hope that changes.
Here is Elizabeth response:
Hi Tim- Nice to hear from you.
I read and understand your email, but have no updates to share.
Warm Regards,
Elisabeth
Right now $6 would do it
CBB - I've often wondered why AZN would not be interested in AMRN given their failed Strength trial.
Yep, it's like Reduce It never happened. Unbelievable! I'd take $6 a share in a heartbeat now and never look back. Unfortunately, even $6 now is probably a pipe dream.
Marjac - I know this is a non-starter but AMRN incurred expenses in filing the appeal. The three lazy ass judges did not even extend the courtesy of reading the materials. Isn’t there some recourse for that? Or, are the judges essentially considered God, able to do, or not do, as they please?
Yes! Especially when you consider Lovaza was launched years after Mori
Want to make sure I’ve got this.
On the cropped Kura table issue, the only thing cropped were the footnotes at the bottom. These footnotes explain that the P values shown in each column reflect comparison BETWEEN the two groups (all NS) whereas the P value in the last column is with respect to the %change over time WITHIN each group (0.001 for EPA group).
800?
Irish - will be interesting at the end of this qtr to see how much the BB sold (hopefully none)
