I hope you are doing well.
Earlier this year you had reached out to me regarding a Cardiovascular Medical Device Position. If there are still opportunities available within your company, I would be interested in hearing more about them. Unfortunately, the cardiovascular medication that I currently represent has lost some of it patents today and the future is unclear.
I look forward to hearing from you.
From an Amarin Representative on the East Coast sen to me last night.
Just remember...when he was asked....how does Vascepa work?? his simple minded answer was...."It just works" thats all you need to know and understand.
all I can say is......WOW
agree!
It's called the art of misdirection. They know it's a slam dunk case but want the market to feel it's as though they might lose. If the market is expecting a win, upside will be muted and this a common saying amongst investors it's "baked in." If they can make the market perceive there is little hope of winning, and we do indeed win, this will catch investors off guard and the element of surprise will more often times than not create panic and an overreaction in the market exacerbating the upside having the opposite effect to the prior. It's an art and only very smart people know how this works and how to properly instill this thinking in investors, and it is also only picked up on by those who are familiar with the art and process. Take it with a grain of salt and all, but this is the case here.
The most important duty of any CEO.....is shareholder value and return. Not only has Wall Street rejected his leadership style, so has retail. A microcosm of this is when JT was asked on CNBC, what is the difference between Vascepa and Fish oil? his answer....." its just works" That pretty much sums of his execution year to date.
they also have only 72 million shares outstanding
company is a total scam! claims they have a CMS certified call center in USA....not.....located in India. Whole group is going to jail.
Thanks TTE....best post of the year! congratulations
this is what happens when you have 360 million + shares outstanding!!!! If I was the CEO, and Ive been there before, after the reduce-it results were announced, to rebalance/reset the number of shares, a 10-1 reverse split should have taken place. When reduce-it was announced, it went to $12.00/share. A 10-1 would have taken it to $1.20/share. Because reverse splits are cost neutral, we would be at $100.00/share right now. JT has got to go!!!!!!
ugly....and getting uglier
Its time for a lawsuit!!! Ive been in this stock for a long time.....JT... unlike your comment about the mechanism of action..."it just works" this isn't working out for shareholders. Its time for you to go!!!!
Invest,
Your assessment is spot on!
As a former VP of sales, Managing Director, and Director of Sales for 4-5 of the greatest start-ups in medical device history, his comments were malpractice and a sales representative would be fired for that answer to a prospective customer (it just works?????) (physician). Thanks
Yes...she thanked me for my comments and has actually called me several other times asking for my opinion on other company related issues. She's very nice
Elisabeth,
Thank for taking time out of your busy schedule to discuss the CNBC call with JT yesterday; as I stated he started out strong but missed on 5 opportunities to tell/sell the great value proposition of Vascepa. As I stated, I have been on V for 5 years; figured out years ago its a great cardiovascular drug. Here are the bullet points we discussed.......
1) JT stated .....most important discovery in 30 years...agree....will become the next Lipitor.....but he didnt finish by telling us why?...
25% reduction in MI, MACE, AND STROKE
2) Missed an opportunity to educate investors on the size of the label and opportunity....
100 million diabetics with 2 risk factors- primary
30 million patients with TG'S, patients on statins- secondary
3) Price- Didn't get specific about price....Humira, the number 1 selling drug with over 20 billion in sales annually, costs $5,500 monthly. V with insurance has a co-pay of $30.00/month, or with a coupon- $195.00/month or approximately $2,400. much less than Humira
4) Didn't explain the mechanism of action..... TG reduction, Anti-Thrombotic, Anti-platelet, or even better...effects and lowers SI...Systemic Inflammation that leads to lower strokes, Mi's, and other cardiovascular events. General public is smarter than you think!!!!
5) Finally...and he had a great opportunity to knock it out of the park when asked..." What is the difference between fish oil and V"? He stated....."IT JUST WORKS" His answer could have addressed a 35 billion dollar market of users by saying.... Were FDA approved, the other fish oils are not. Were pure EPA, their not. Ingredients that include DHA that raised LDL. We reduce stroke, MI, and Mace 25% THEY DONT PERIOD
Elisabeth,
Thanks for your time today. You can call me whenever you have a question.
This was sent to Elisabeth after JT's horrible interview on CNBC...AFTER BEING IN THE MEDICAL DEVICE START-UP BUSINESS FOR 25+ YEARS, I WAS EMBARASSED BY HIS PERFROMANCE
