Ah, but if they didn't keep the inventory so fluffy to balance out the $6.7mil tax liability, their liabilities would eclipse their assets, and we can't have that. Have to keep up appearances you know. Ok, off to dinner.
IMO, CV's only hope is to get rid of this cloud right here...then they could have more options...
In regards to those intangibles Fangster...
IMO, CV writes off very little inventory compared to how much they don't sell. If there's not a big write down in the next report, I think CV is keeping raw material around longer than they are supposed to. Who's checking though right? Not the FDA. The inventory keeps those "assets" looking fluffy on the balance sheet...

Oh, I meant to respond to this post instead of the other one. Anyway, yeah, CWBHF has almost 100X the shareholder equity of CVSI and by now, probably ~100X the cash.
The kicker is the shareholder equity after it all shakes out...geez lol...

Hey Gladys, I was wondering if I could get another post of that "Why should anyone invest in CV Sciences?" report that you have so diligently maintained. I'd like to sticky a copy, but the last one is more than 48 hours old. Thanks in advance if you can find the time for one more.

Oh, I forgot BAT could convert at their discretion, so they are probably making the market in CWBHF right now. They will control the swings. Is there anyone looking to invest in CVSI? Have you or the wolf heard some rumors?
I know you like Yahoo, but you can see that it lags behind OTCmarkets. Edgar is really where to go though. I don't know what you mean by 3 strikes you're out.
CW has had several form 4s this month with shares shuffling around and I suspect we may see some more of those this week or next. That's just a guess though. Not sure for what or why, but my guess is it has something to do with MLB or maybe Ajna or ???. If Dowling never got to use those CVSI Raider's tickets, maybe he can hit up CW for some discount MLB tickets before the season kicks off instead. Should be fun.
Yes, the recent action on CWBHF is due to insiders converting, exercising options, so I believe we are seeing shares enter the float at the moment. Smart timing for when MLB season kicks off on March 30. How's CVSI's fictional merger going? Anyway, make sure to keep up with filings...

Pharma and MSM are the same people. They shouldn't be viewed as separate entities. As just one example, Comcast (CMCSA: NASDAQ) owns Comcast Cable, NBCUniversal and Sky. While you watch NBC news, you see all the Pfizer (PFE: NYSE) commercials. Who are the biggest holders of both Comcast and Pfizer?...
Comcast (CMCSA: NASDAQ)
But that's also not dividing by a fully diluted market cap for CW, so we will just have to see the next reports for both companies.
Could add in CW's new $67mil in BAT cash dollar for dollar as a liability and CWBHF's leverage ratio would be like 1.5x, which is still lower than CVSI's current ratio. Yes, next reports should be interesting.
Imagine what CVSI's leverage ratio would look like if it's price to book ratio was in line with the rest of the sector. At .01, book value, you get...
13,816,000/1,526,347=9.05x

Of course that's based on the last Q reports and current price. We will have to check out that metric again after the upcoming annual reports.

If trajectory doesn't change, my guess is by Q1 report, their "assets" will total like $8-9mil, and their liabilities will be over $15mil.
I think they will have a new note, a convertible note, by the upcoming report or immediately thereafter in order to keep paying bills.
Oh nevermind, I see. Streeterville is not convertible debt. It's cash debt.
Yeah I saw that, but on the balance sheet they list zero convertible notes. Maybe it's included in accounts payable, accrued expenses, or net debt. I haven't looked into where it's accounted for yet. Maybe you know?
Maybe "tangibles" isn't the best word for all of what will be left, as it will include intangibles, but you know what I mean. The physical stuff, the intangibles, and the incoming income are all that will be able to be leveraged soon, which wouldn't be such a big deal if it added up to more.
The cash, prepaid expenses, and inventory will all be worn out by the Q1 report, if not the upcoming Q4 report. The only assets that will still be here by end of spring are the tangibles and any new cash they can get from remaining inventory, accounts receivable, or new loan.
Agreed. It is an interesting question. Also interesting is the actual constitution of CV's $15.181mil in assets, which they will need to somehow leverage. Over 20% of their assets, $3.143mil, are just prepaid expenses. Cash $1,139 and inventory $7,226,000 are consumable and time sensitive. Take those 3 things out and all that's left is $3,673,000, of which $1,485,000, almost half, is "intangibles", and $557,000 is "Other". That leaves only $1,631,000 in Property, Rights of Use, Equipment, and accounts receivable. Meanwhile, Total liabilities are $13,816,000...

Thanks! Lots of companies reporting over the next month or so. Should be entertaining.
My last post left for today, but you can actually see that Mona III had just over 5% of the shares in 2018, but then never reported a 13 again because his shares dipped below 4.99%. So, unless I missed a filing showing that he cashed out completely, shareholders here may possibly also want to assume that Mona III, aka the Mona Family Trust, also currently owns somewhere just under 4.99%, which would make the total ownership of the Mona Family Trust more like (~4.99%+11.21%) of the company. I could be off on that a bit, but that's just back of the napkin. It could also be what's been keeping the stock from trading closer to its book value of .01...
