They seem to be happy enough with the return they got on whatever they spent on Neptune litigation to go ahead and file against Spectrum next....
Seems like this IP is leading to settlements... even if we have no idea how much $$ it is, still gotta be positive ROI for FH
Thanks for posting...
But I don't know...
Direct quote from the link:
"Cota Tile has proven safe for operation around people, pets and plants."
BY WHO??
You won't catch me standing near one of those tiles without lead underwear on!!
Go to this link
https://vrng24.wordpress.com/2015/04/09/vrng/
Read section 1
FH arrived at settlement with Neptune
Check out FH 24's blog for details...
What could that be in $$ ??
... and when will we find out??
In case y'all missed this one, worth a read...
http://www.barrons.com/articles/BL-TB-54031
Gotta love that Fli's wireless charging solution does not expose users to radiation in the way that other approaches seem to -- even if those others say they're safe, which one would you choose??
Gotta also like that Fli's approach seems to offer more wattage than others => faster charging ...
Who doesn't prefer that??
I know, I shouldn't get excited about it.. it's way early and there's loads of competition and competing approaches.... then again there's over 1 billion smart phones, tablets, external batteries, and cordless devices in the US alone that could be charged this way... even if Fli captures just 5% of the market, could easily be worth FH's entire market cap IMHO
I'm probably missing something ... do your own homework please
You figure it out and then let me know ok??
I'm trying to learn more about Q/S vs Neptune.,,
They asked judge for 30 day extension to mid-March because they are in settlement discussions...
Neptune is subsidiary of Altice I believe and Altice also owns Cablevision...
Is there any way to handicap how big this settlement could be?
I'm sure it will be confidential like the others, but seems like it could be material given size of Neptune...
Maybe FH / QS will just sell them the patent instead of licensing it ... that could be nice chunk of $$ I would guess
Anyone got any insights on this??
Definitely like the FliCharge description at the end of that link...
FliCharge needs to go on Shark Tank and get $$ to fund a big inventory build so thy can put it up for sale on Amazon before Christmas.., perfect gift!!
Seriously though, with all the attention on wireless charging, they have to be able to get Belkin or Otter Box or Logitech or Flextronics or someone to fund an inventory build for Xmas... no brainer...
Who doesn't want wireless charging???
I hear you
Tempting to just cut and paste your message to management....
But I think the numbers really matter....
And if you value all the assets and add them up, you get to a number that is far greater than current market cap
And that's based on current profile of FH's businesses....
I actually think there are MANY ways to improve xspa to get faster growth with more profitability..
And I think the Infomedia stake could be worth big $$
The IP should generate cash in '17
And FliCharge is an option with lots of upside and little financial risk...
I agree that mgmt and board line their pockets at shareholders' expense and that's bad
But the price of this stock does not reflect the value of the assets IMO
Their tax assets (NOLs) alone are worth ~ $30m IMO
With the stock so low... might as well just sock it away and check back in 6-12 mos
Thanks for your post.
I agree fully.
These guys have deferred tax assets (NOLs) from the bad years...
If they can generate profits from Xspa and GM, they should be able to keep it all in the business
That makes a $1 of FH profits more valuable than $1 of fully taxed profits
Institutional investors should find that appealing IMO
Good news for Infomedia is good news for FH...
I continue to believe that FH's 8% stake in Infomedia could be worth as much as FH's entire $35m market cap...
http://infomedia.co.uk/latest-news/2017/1/17/infomedia-accelerates-mena-growth-with-full-carrier-billing-coverage-in-egypt
This is just the latest in a series of positive developments at Infomedia
You're right
Many mutual funds can't or don't buy stocks trading under $5/sh
Once FH breaks above $5, I suspect many funds will begin to establish some ownership, gradually scaling in...
FH is trading at market cap of about $36m...
They still have ~$20m in cash
Xspa is profitable and growing
Group Mobile is too
Flicharge is new but not burning much cash and wireless charging is definitely real
They're still litigating some of their IP and recently settled a couple cases for undisclosed sums
Their infomedia stake could be monetized for significant $$
Current price seems cheap to me ...
Sorry... last post should've said Bernstein not jankowski
Sorry... last post should've said Bernstein not jankowski
I do like seeing the 84,000 share purchase by Jankowski at $2.31/share
Taken together with the insider buys made before the closing of xpressspa,
I feel comfortable adding at any price below $2.50
Management and board were buying this BEFORE the Xpresspa deal was closed...
Now the deal is closed and FH is trading at same levels ...
have to believe they will buy more as soon as they are legally permitted to...
the risk of the deal not closing is gone and stock is same price... Yahtzee!!
I hear you....
Thanks for sharing
As for me, I can't wait for the iphone7 case to be available because I'm always finding my self stuck within a couple feet of a wall outlet to use my phone.... need fli charge for i7 soon!!
Pretty sure management said on last conference call that they will likely do a "non-deal road show" to get the story known amongst institutional investors... guessing that begins in 1Q17 ... they will no-doubt point out that Xpresspa/FH trades at a discount to other retailers with similar cash flow ... and the faster growth rate of airport retail vs tradional retail should attract some interest as well
Gotta believe iphone7 case will be available soon
Xpresspa merger closed!!
I don't know anyone who doesn't need a massage
Ok
Just saw your photos on ST
Thanks!
Yeah, it's much more compelling if you have a phone and FLI case so you can just set your phone down on it... that's really the main attraction for me.
What's the verdict?
I hear you...
But personally, I don't want more waves passing through me, I just want my phone to be charging every time I set it down.., that's why I actually think the conductive approach (FLI Charge) is more appealing than the inductive approach (WATT)...
Either way, there will be a segment of the market that wants the FLI approach and since there's literally billions of handheld devices that need charging, even 5% of the market would be YUUUGE
Still not sure if wireless charging is for real??
This article calls it a "tent pole feature" for iphone8....
https://9to5mac.com/2016/11/29/kgi-iphone-8-to-eclipse-sales-record-set-by-iphone-6-wireless-charging-on-high-end-and-low-end-models/
This makes me believe that FLI Charge IP has meaningful value
Fli Charge units shipped and more going out...
I am ready to read a review...,
Someone please post after receiving FLI charge and tell us what you like or don't like
Hopefully Walt Mossberg got one
Payments space is just heating up
Check out the valuation on Stripe financing: $9.2B!!
https://techcrunch.com/2016/11/25/payments-provider-stripe-has-raised-another-150-at-a-9b-valuation/
Infomedia is taking a different approach than Stripe... Infomedia is focused on in-carrier billing...whereas Stripe seems to be a real payments disruptor but IMHO if Stripe is getting $9.2B valuation, then Infomedia -- with high growth rate and early overseas adoption/market lead -- could easily be worth >$500m to a potential acquirer I think ...
FH owns 8% of Infomedia..
8% of $500m is $40m...
$40m is about the same as FH total market cap today!!
And FH has $23m cash with no debt + IP portfolio + Group Mobile + FliCharge ... and then Xpresspa
OPINION:
With the warrants for the Xpresspa merger being struck at $3/sh, it leads me to believe that the insiders all believe that FH will be materially higher than $3 at some point in the future --- if not, this transaction is a bad deal for Xpresspa owners.
Indeed, Xpresspa guys NEED the stock to be substantially higher than $3, like $6, for this deal to make sense for them financially... (remember, warrants struck at $3 means they still have to pay $3/sh to exercise them, and that money goes back on the books of FH -- so the warrants are only valuable at a price substantially greater than $3/sh)
I have to interpret the deal terms as a big bet by Xpresspa folks that FH is going to $6 or so within next few years -- otherwise, I don't see how these terms work for them.
As always, make your own analysis and draw your own conclusion
Anyone know how big an NOL carry forward these guys have?
Believe it's over $100m
When they generate profits at Xpresspa, at least they'all get to keep them and not pay taxes for looong time
They should be able to improve Xpresspa margins and sales/store as well...
Seems promising
Airports are busier than ever and people are having longer to wait before their flights...
Should be good (free) channel for FliCharge too
Anemic trading volume in common stock but big volume in Jan $2 calls...
Ever done any digging on Infomedia??
I have....
This in-carrier billing approach is hitting an inflection point... more and more businesses likely to want to participate....
See link below (Amazon's growing business of the year award):
http://infomedia.co.uk/latest-news/finalist-for-amazons-growing-business-of-the-year-award
If this company got acquired for anything approaching a Silicon Valley internet type multiple, FH's 8% stake could be worth as much as the entire market cap of FH...
Just sayin'
I believe Perlman commented on one of the calls that he believes Xpresspa deal will add $35m of shareholders equity to FH...
if FH owners will own 67% of the combined company (FH + Xpresspa) on a fully diluted basis, believe that implies a $70m value for FH before the deal.....
current market cap is $38m or so... or 54% of what Xpresspa owners are giving it credit for under the deal terms....
$70m equates to about $4.45/share approximately...
Seems like a great deal to me at $2.46
As always, do your own DD
Make your own analysis and conclusion
My comments are back of the envelope guesstimates
GLTA
Group Mobile seems to be well positioned to capitalize on the huge tide of body-cam and dash-cam spending that slated for 2017 and 2018...
Of course Taser will also do quite well, but if Group Mobile wins even 10% of the market that should mean big top line growth for that business for next couple years
Many FliCharge backers should be receiving their packages this week...
Looking forward to reading some reviews ...
Who here would like to know who they are going to partner with for FliCharge distribution??
I certainly would....
Obviously Amazon would be awesome but I'd be happy to see a Target or Walmart type deal as well... seems like they could get something done before Christmas....
Management and board members bought some stock recently... right around these price levels...,
I'll be surprised if we don't see some more insider buys this month..,
Their group mobile business seems to have traction and their FliCharge product is about to launch
Maybe some TV advertising spots for FliCharge or co-promotion type of thing with DTV
Once FliCharge is in position to manufacture millions of units, FH will look to market it in a big way and try to be the early leader in wireless charging... to do this they need TV marketing, in airport marketing, online marketing retailer partners etc
Many of the companies they are litigating against might be more interested in helping them promote FliCharge than in writing a big check for $$$
The conference call they did when the Xpresspa deal was announced was actually quite informative about all of FH's businesses and plans.
Listen to it...
http://formholdings.com/documents/FG/formholdings/HPD/564257_FORM_Holdings_Conference_Call_-_XpresSpa_Acquisition.mp3
and then compare it to what they say on the upcoming call ....
FH's Group Mobile unit announced a partnership with Digital Ally a while back ...
Now Digitally Ally seems to be getting some traction... they announced a deal with Santa Fe PD recently and now this
http://digitalallyinc.blogspot.com/2016/11/digital-ally-announces-another-order.html?m=1
Seems like PD's across the country are adopting this technology and FH appears to have partnered with one of the leaders... another nice iron in the fire it seems
Seems unlikely that FH would be filing a suit against Cablevision/Altice if they didn't like the settlement terms they got with DTV.... I'm guessing that FH got something valuable from DTV...
