Interesting writeup on a recent Apple patent on liquid metal
“In a patent titled, ‘Counter-gravity casting of hollow shapes,’ Apple describes a new method for casting a ‘bulk metallic glasses’ material — also known as Liquidmetal — into hollow parts by using a counter-gravity molding technique.”

Not sure if I'm late to the party but I just seen this patent from Apple :
http://patft.uspto.gov/netacgi/nph-Parser?Sect1=PTO2&Sect2=HITOFF&p=1&u=%2Fnetahtml%2FPTO%2Fsearch-adv.htm&r=2&f=G&l=50&d=PTXT&S1=(liquidmetal+AND+20140422.PD.)&OS=liquidmetal+and+isd/4/22/2014&RS=(liquidmetal+AND+ISD/20140422)
here's a synopsis of the article since it is a paid article :

Not sure if anyone seen this about possibly Apple buying LQMT : http://seekingalpha.com/article/2091293-new-developments-in-my-long-case-for-liquidmetal-technologies
Not sure if these patents were posted but they talk about using Liquidmetal

nice !!! got over .30
With gains like this we should break .30 tomorrow - nice!!!
hmmmm ... What gives you this inclination ?
I just saw someone sold 598,000 shares
Nice. Here we go again
I saw this patent, maybe this is it. It was issued today :
http://patft.uspto.gov/netacgi/nph-Parser?Sect1=PTO2&Sect2=HITOFF&p=1&u=%2Fnetahtml%2FPTO%2Fsearch-adv.htm&r=1&f=G&l=50&d=PTXT&S1=(liquidmetal+AND+20140107.PD.)&OS=liquidmetal+and+isd/1/7/2014&RS=(liquidmetal+AND+ISD/20140107)
The children are always the last to know :)
Well .. better late than never :)
Maybe - maybe not - but it was released on "International Business Times" at :
By Erik Pineda | December 11, 2013 2:15 PM EST
hmmm - I was wondering the same thing. I saw this perhaps this might be why ???
http://macdailynews.com/2013/12/11/iphone-6-rumors-curved-display-liquidmetal-sapphire-glass-and-more/
This is old news ... 2002
Anyone know why the runup to .184 so far ?
I use Scottrade and I was wondering why everything was showing up in Red. strange indeed

Hmmmm, maybe Liquidmetal is in the current iPhone
http://www.patentlyapple.com/patently-apple/2013/11/new-patent-sheds-light-on-the-iphone-created-with-liquidmetal.html
Nothing that I've noticed
>>> Danny, thank you for the update and encouragement on our efforts to explore once again the benefits of Liquidmetal golf drivers and irons.
It sounds to me that the golf clubs were shelved for a period of time and your email sparked a renewed interest.
But does this mean that LQMT will benefit with this new advancement ? dunno. Hope so, but, dunno. I'm not convinced that Steipp is hungry enough to carry LQMT where it needs to be. I'm leaning towards a more complacent, safe for him, mindset. --- I hope I'm wrong ....
Ahhhh some new patents arrived today in Europe on Liquidmetal
http://www.patentlyapple.com/patently-apple/2013/09/four-new-liquidmetal-related-patents-surface-in-europe.html
Not sure if anyone has seen this video on Liquidmetal. But in case you haven't here it is :
If the buyout is more than the value of the stocks that are issued
"Liquidmetal got their 20million that's it for perpetual intellectual property meaning forever..The only way to create revenue for this company is to capitalized on apple using liquidmetal for other purpose other than consumer electronics. Now that being said, let me see the.OTHER applications..... The knives from vmatter, the ceo doesn't even know what is going on with the Kang brothers selling.it. And igolf renewing the once failed liquidmetal golf clubs. You are are naive think that apple would share its liquidmetal revenue.
The company is diluting shares to pay for their own salary...oh yeah the CFO bought his shares at .008....if he could.sell that at .26, he would have but there was a.restricted period for him so he couldn't...Mark my word...once.he.can sell it for.profit. he will do it."
No you didn't - above is what you said
>>> The only way to create revenue for this company is to capitalized on apple using liquidmetal for other purpose other than consumer electronics.
Or if Apple signs on for another few years in a license agreement, this may be more $$$$ that Apple would have to pony up.
When did Apple buy the current IP license with Crucible ? Does anyone know the exact date ? Also what is the exact date it was set to expire ?
I'm interested in seeing the delta there as a "keep in the back of my mind" sort of thing to see if they do something similar come Feb/2014
Glanced over the SEC filing for the 200M shares to add - yep you guys are right - poison pill ...
From SEC
Potential Anti-Takeover Effects
Although the amendment and restatement of our Certificate of Incorporation is not intended to be an anti-takeover measure, stockholders should note that, under certain circumstances, the additional shares of common stock could be used to make any attempt to gain control of our company or our board of directors more difficult or time-consuming. Any of the additional shares of common stock could be privately placed with purchasers who might side with our board of directors in opposing a hostile takeover bid.
Or take orders for both ....
What does anyone know about this forecast for LQMT ? bunk ?
http://sierraworldequityreview.blogspot.com/2013/08/liquidmetal-technologies-lqmt-rating_28.html
but at least it's holding ..... for now
ahhh stuck in a holding pattern....
I'm not seeing it when I compare it to :
http://www.apple.com/macbook-air/design.html
Wow, it's like the stock is Bi-Polar :)
I was thinking of it made 6% gains up to Sept 10 it should be at .35 then. I would like to go long but I think on Sept 10 I'll put in a sell order 1.5cents below the current just in case there's no Liquid Metal in the iPhone casing before the unveiling.
Basically If Apple can produce a mass commercial product with LQMT, so can LQMT , as they both have the same patent rights. This would turn the viability of using Liquid Metal from prototyping a product to mass producing one. Many eyes would be more intent on LQMT as the next big thing in metal alloys on a consumer basis.
So Apple's use of the alloy would make LQMT shoot through the roof. IMO only of course.
It would also validate LQMT's processes, and production capabilities in creating a viable mass produced product. This would be huge !!!
