I hear ya Jahvik
I've decided to go in today. My allocation will be:
50% S Fund
30% I Fund
20% C Fund
Good luck with your decision Jahvik.
Right now I'm holding at 50% G Fund and 50% S Fund. Looking for a spot to get 100% invested. Looks like potentially next week that could happen.
Will this end up being good news?
Every night, we download data from Wall Street that shows what the daily levels of Institutional Buying and Selling were for the current stock market day. We then do a trending analysis of the Buying and Selling activity. What is important is whether or not Institutional Investors are in Accumulation or Distribution because the market cannot overwhelm the aggregate Buying and Selling activity of Institutional Investors.
At the same time, we do another (private) cut on the analysis that shows (what we call the "Aggressive Institutional Investors") and what they are doing. This analysis shows the Accumulation/Distribution levels and trending for what is going on with the Aggressive Institutional Investors. (We always comment about their activity in conjunction with the regular Institutional Investor Accumulation/Distribution chart posted today.)
Well yesterday, we had a data conflict between the two groups. I say conflict, because It turns out that the the Aggressive Institutional Investors went into their first day of low Accumulation, while the regular Institutional Investors were still in Distribution.
History tells us that it often takes time to turn the regular Institutional Investors around . This is probably because of the sheer mass of their wealth, or that the Aggressives can't always turn them around if there is too much opposition and disagreement on what they are doing.
So, that is where we were yesterday. This represents a conflict by Major market participants and it will likely need more time to work itself out. For investors, this means that they should be very cautious and avoid "guessing" which side will win and when. After all, investing is just that ... a prudent decision making process based on advanced data and principles. It is not a guessing and/or gambling game to see if your ego is right or not.

TY Jahvik. I'm not totally convinced I'm right and hoping for the best with an exit plan if I'm wrong.
Cheers
Dollar Flies … Commodities, Emerging Markets Cry!
Here's my take on this situation and background info for your future TSP decisions...
When regression to the mean in the US$ happens, this development will be positive for I Fund along with C Fund, to a lesser extent. S Fund will then have a headwind to contend with.

The bull market in stocks is much younger than you think
by Mark Hulbert
Some background info to put into the mix...especially for the long-term investor.

Negative TSP...It depends on if I Fund is in Trending mode or not. If it's trending, I put more emphasis on moving averages breaches and PSAR changes. Otherwise, I put more emphasis on RSI and the Force Index suggestions.

US $ Rally Providing Tailwind for S Fund

Interesting perspective TFN. I learn from you. TY :)
Here's my bottom line first--I became in the bull camp today because the short-term is now up. It's normally a good sign when smaller and mid-caps indexes are leading S&P Five-hundred higher. And they're certainly doing that now. My target is a MINIMUM move to 1225. Currently, P&F chart objective is even higher at 1305:)
Stay long my friend as I'm going 100% into S Fund on Friday. I'm looking for support @ 1070.
May the Force be with all the longs!
