I was also contacted. Sorry no soup for you
Looking forward to reading a similar post with Lightwave in the headline

Initial ASM Takeaways
First it was clear there is zero doubt with the management team that they have this train moving. This first small deal will be the catalyst for others who may have been slow to sign.
Atikem was at the board meeting yesterday most likely discuss this and other deals they need board approval on so hopefully we will be learning more about his efforts.
Polling is not an issue and Lebby made it clear he doesn't understand why people keep claiming this is some big mystery that is holding things up. We all know who those people are and why they bring it up.
The market potential Is massive and what was shared in today's presentation was simply TAM and Sam for two very specific devices not the entire market that Lightwave will pursuing. This alone is massive without considering all of the other uses.
Lebby and Marcelli are playing chess while the shorts are playing checkers.
They are being quiet now to honor NDAs etc but when it is least expected I am. Very confident we will see a steady flow of news hitting one after another each week. This will overwhelm the shorts ability to hold back the share price and catch them in a squeeze. I am very confident management will enjoy that day very much.
I do hope the shorts continue to double. Down. The clock is ticking. Just like the Nasdaq news. We had no indications something big was coming and then without notice Boom.
Great to see all of the shareholders who were able to make it to Denver. It has been a lot of fun thus far. I have a feeling next year's ASM will have a number of private jets booked for this week.
Purely fiction. I have spoken to multiple longs in this since the beginning, holding 5 million shares plus. Not one was contemplating selling over a quarterly update.
This is the same update we have seen every other quarter. Why would anyone be disappointed that a quarterly filing from a pre revenue company reported no revenues? We all know what we hold and did not wait 15-20 years to capitulate this close to commercialization. All of the longs I know understand deals for disruptive technology are complex and may take time.
We are perfectly fine waiting a little longer if that's what it takes.
The psychological warfare being waged by the shorts is sad. These games probably work for young retail investors but not for those smart longs patiently waiting on the first deal and what's to follow. Most of the 500,000+ share investors don't even read this board
Have a great weekend everyone.
There was a lot of feedback and very valuable commentary. Unfortunately it was only exchanged via Reddit, email and our what's app group.
I'm there.
I just exchanged emails with Bill Gate.
He just confirmed he is aware of Lightwave’s tech and looking forward to the material presented at the upcoming PIC conference.
The same thing happened with Cisco a few years back. Their CIO on a call with Lebby and other industry experts flat out said many companies are years into R&D and they need to see a return on investment for the time and money invested. This is regardless of if it will be the greatest new technology or not. They will miss the boat if they have not been paying attention due to self imposed blinders/cognitive dissonance.
Many will quickly shift once they see an actual product available to the Tier ones. I believe many will abandon their old mindset of only committing to what they have been focused on and quickly sign a new NDA with Lightwave to also begin testing. This is why the word Ubiquitous is becoming the mantra.
That is not the same as deleting your account. I prefer to end my association with Ihub completely. More a matter of principle.
Can someome explain how to delete my account on Ihub?
After much frustration with a few users on the board I visit I have decided not to participate any longer.
I cannot figure out how to delete my account.
If I were a Tier one trying to bring to market the next generation transceiver, I personally would not want the world to know what component/tech suppliers I was using to achieve these market leading abilities.
While the Competition may already have parallel discussions with Lightwave I would keep things under a tight lid until ready to go to Market or start promoting our new product line.
Correct. Over ten million shares combined already working in unison behind the scenes to take action.
CORRECT
Would anyone be surprised in Lightwave leadership was already engaged with Wes Christian from Christian Levine Law Group,
I would not be. They are not going to roll over when their is obviously fraud being enacted on the stock.
I believe Lightwave is pretty far along this process more than any of us would ever know considering these hit pieces started to roll out 6 plus months ago.
Only time with tell but congrats to Genius IQ.
So you do own the stock.
Hahahahaha
Some cannot see the Forrest through the trees. I have options for work as well.
They expire after x years. Yes you can sell out completely and exit your position. Or you can sell just enough to buy out your option cost and then you do not have to worry about the expiration.
Some are grasping for straws but they will disappear once 1H 2023 is over and the price runs up again.
I'm up over 4x. Performing better than anything else out there. Guess it's all about perspective of when you got in and whether your cup is half full or half empty.
Don't answer I already know the answer.
Marcelli and Lebby both have 1 million plus options. Anyone can do the math to see they were not doing any mysterious behind the scenes bonus deals to make a little extra money. Both have been around in the tech industry for many years and with all of Lebbys patents I believe he was already well off before Lightwave.
Those on the right side of this stock will create generational wealth. The rest will brag about the few dollars a share they made shorting.
All good.
Happy New Years to all the longs.
Long and Strong in 2023
Lost 2/3 rds of what value? Someone or some organizations were building a position at any cost. That's what ran up the price. Was Lightwave worth $20 a share at that point? I believe everyone can agree it was not solely based on milestones achieved in the process.
Was a more realistic valuation in the $5-$10 range for a pre-revenue company? I would say yes. Considering how the rest of my portfolio is holding up in line with the NASDAQ /S&P I would say Lightwave was doing pretty well.
I was pleased with the share holder update. It would be of poor strategy to release share moving news prior or in the middle of the worst trading time of the year.
I believe anyone who has lost faith in the company should exit their positions as there are surely many institutions waiting eagerly to purchase any shares they can aquire.
I am confident 2023 will see a steady flow of news that will get the value trending up again.
I have spoken to an industry expert on this specific topic a few months back. They advised that 100 mm or 300 mm makes no impact on Lightwaves performance.
He actually said this question was an indication of lack of industry knowledge. I felt a little silly after asking but I know this person could easily provide clarity.
False. You stated multiple times they had issues with getting the poling to where it needed to be for commercialization.
Anyone who keeps their Crypto on an exchange is setting themselves up for unnecessary risk to begin with.
I am heavily invested in Lightwave and heavily invested in Crypto. At one point I was up 10x on crypto but didn't sell.
At one point I was up 20x on Lightwave.
CRYPTO has crashed however an 85% correction is actually very normal considering they lack full institutional acceptance and US regulatory clarity on what's a security and what's not. Crypto will rebound once all this noise has passed. People investing in Crypto with Utility cases like Render, XRP, Cardano and HBAR will be very wealthy once the technology is fully rolled out globally.
Sounds a lot like Lightwave. For everyone who laughs the stock is only in the $6-$8 range they forget many of us have an avg cost of $0.80/share or lower.
Portfolio performance varies based on the perspective of when one got into the investment.
While I do not want Lebby to go anywhere nor believe he would in the near term, I would believe that he will have accomplished his primary objective if we are able to commercialize this and move from the lab to market deployment.
Once that hurdle is bridged I am confident Lightwave could bring in other successful CEOs and other C level executives to run the business and ride the wave should Lebby decide to take a victory lap, maybe drop a gear and help continue to steer the ship from the Board of directors.
I mentioned trademark but meant Tech transfer.
Having been to the May ASM and have spoken to management personally, I can confirm there were zero revenue commitments associated with the partnership commitment by 2H2022.
In a follow up question Marcelli did advise that there could be up front money associated with a deal. But that was not something that management committed to. It was just something that could happen up front with a licensing or trademark deal. They never guaranteed there would be revenues committed.
The only stement made was that 2 partnerships would be announced by year end 2022 and 3 more by the end of 1H2023.
This splitting of hairs over partnerships and commercialization gets a little mind numbing. Less is more. We have struck gold and just need time for the mine to be worked.
Not everything that can be counted counts, and not everything that counts can be counted.
Albert Einstein
X, having listened to the executives live at the ASM and engaging with them immediately following the event with many shareholders, my understanding is that the first step in partnering is truly to get the PDK into these Foundries by the end of this year and into 1H 2023.
We specifically asked about the difference between partnering and commercialization and while the partnering may come with up front monies, the real commercialization and production volume at scale is most likely going to be 2024. That mean actual revenues related to volume rolling off the Foundry lines should be making a significant impact starting in 2024 and ramping up through 25/26. LEWROCK always highlights 2026 as a target for the stock price to reflect the ubiquitous mantra. I seem to agree with him.
This should not be a controversial statement for any here as it was very clearly discussed and elaborated through the Q&A session. I agree people need to set the right expectations for both of the next important stages and align those expectations with the clear guidance Lebby and Marcelli have provided at the ASM.
I do believe we will start seeing some very positive movement and attention once the partnerships start flowing as this moves from a science experiment to a validated disruptor in the silicon Photonics market.
News could surprise us any day between now and the end of the year. I'm not worried what the stock price does in this period as it will purely be a reflection of overall market Conditions. The true measure will be how the market /institutions react when word is out that Lightwave is now serving customers at game changing speeds and at ten X less power consumption.
Was just watching a year old video of Anthony Yu discussing the future of GF and grabbed a few screen shots. There are a lot of similar talking points in power savings and speed as well as some of the components they will be producing.
I believe it is obvious GF will be one of our first Foundry partners. I believe LEWROCK and a few others speculated that they have the highest probability of being the first 2 Foundries when you consider their Malta NY and Dresden DE (Germany) Foundries.
Here's the video and images I thought tell some of the story.
Why would Lebby need to buy? He has plenty of options. No intelligent investor regardless of their role in the company would spend their personal income to buy a stock they can simply execute the options and pay the cost from the sale of the transaction in one swoop.
His minor buy was only a signal to the market but that money was just a waste in my opinion since the value of his current options are already in the millions. Just imagine when it goes $100+ a share he will have hundreds of millions.
If you see the tour of Lebby condo in San Fran he does not look like he needs the money.
Impressive post as usual. Way to connect the dots.
I did hear there were concerns with the type of breakfast Danishes they provided.
Hopefully next year they will address.
Sorry that's double talk.
You cannot proclaim to know with all certainty that this technology is unstable and that based on your industry knowledge will never scale to volume.
But then in the next statement claim that the only discussion allowed is investment talk and not science and talk about the technology you claim is incompetent based on your resume in the instry.
Can't have it both ways. Pick a side.
You dodged my question. I'm putting aside any disagreements we have regarding belief in the company.
Can you at least answer from a technical standpoint, will you admit these are impressive data points?
Leave scalability for another debate.
Koog. In all seriousness. If Lebbys live device demonstartion accomplishes what they claim to be able to produce, would you at least admit that this is an impressive advancement and achievement for Lightwave as a company? Seperate any disputes you may have about whether it will be profitable or ever accepted by the large client in the target market. Just technical specifications based on what they are claiming they will demonstrate in this session? ECOC is not promoting this because it is a. Easy milestone for any company to demonstrate and at the same time advise it is ready for Foundry application at scale.
Device demonstration will show electro-optical and electrical 3dB bandwidths that are in excess of 70 and 100GHz. The electro-optical materials have competitive performance characteristics both at 1310nm as well as 1550nm operating wavelengths. Reliability and stability results will be presented to show the robustness of the technology platform.
Now that would be Mind blowing wouldn't it?
Until China invades Taiwan to "Reunify"
Word in the Chinese underground is that Xi is after the Goo.
I believe 2023 is likely but I'm ok if it take til 2026 as LEWROCK mentioned . With the volume of shares we hold collectively why sell before fully commercialized.
Nothing these posters say will generate a level of Fear to make us sell too soon.
When it hits it hits. My bets are on the PHD in the Patent Hall of fame.
The last part of your post is ignoring the history behind China's rapid growth in the global technology stage.
They have stolen IP and hacked their way to the large player they are today from a technology stage. While they are still behind in Chip development they are are the forefront of AI and quantum computing advancements.
I believe the world needs to slow them down wherever they can, otherwise we will all be forced into a Chinese style governing as a result of their influence.
It has been proven that companies like Tik Tok, Huawei and other applications have been caught spying on USA citizens and harvesting massive amounts of data that does not belong to them.
Be careful what you wish for.
