Not a direct player in the market but certainly one that will be also known as an innovation driver in the space of green mining solutions with its biotech products: German white/industry biotech company B.R.A.I.N.

Cheers
I'd like to share this German-based biotech company with you as I personally think B.R.A.I.N. could have a great future in the field of white/industrial biotech solutions. It is one of the key players in Europe in the field of white biotechnology and is very well positioned to lead the growing industrial biotech market.
I first heard about it during my Masters Studies back in 2011 and discovered a few weeks ago that it had its IPO in 2016. German media has covered the company and its potential recently and the emphasis is clearly on the huge potential side with existing and upcoming microorganism-based products in markets like chemical, cosmetics, food and medical technology industries.
One further focus of BRAIN is the emerging market of green mining with microorganism based mining of gold, silver etc. without costly chemicals for mining companies. Market launch is expected to be in 2019.
BRAIN has two main business pillars:
1. BioSciences: strategic cooperation
Together with strategic partners from the target industry, BRAIN on the basis of exclusive license agreements in R&D cooperation programs has identified previously untapped, efficient enzymes, microbial producer organisms or natural substances from complex biological systems that can be put to industrial use. The company aims to replace classical chemical and industrial processes with novel and resource-saving processes, and to establish new processes and products.
2. BioIndustrial: the development of our own products
The industrialization strategy, which was successfully launched in 2010 as the company’s second pillar of operation next to the co-operation business, has been expanded successfully with an established M&A strategy. It permits BRAIN AG to access the BRAIN Group’s entire value chain of different lucrative markets, from the identification of biological solutions and their development to their implementation in the target industries. Currently, the BRAIN Group consists of the following companies, all of which operate successfully in the market:
Analyticon Discovery GmbH
Biocatalysts Limited
L.A. Schmitt GmbH Chem.-Kosmetische Fabrik
MONTEIL COSMETICS INTERNATIONAL GmbH
WeissBioTech GmbH.

I am not a financial advisor and I started this board to begin discussions on this exciting company.
Honestly, I hate this stock as I bought it 05/2013 and I was happy to sell it at the end of last year, even though I missed the higher price levels at 9 and 10USD. But now I'm tempted to get some again.. If we see 5,70USD, I will buy.
@Gary. For quite a long time now I've been waiting for a good entry point and I am curious to hear why you think, now could be a good moment?
Thx for sharing your thoughts.
Too early to tell IMO. Not too late to see a green closing today closing higher than 5,85/5,90.
Lomiko Metals Recognized as Key Player in TechNavio Report 3D Printing Market
http://www.technavio.com/report/global-3d-printing-materials-market-2014-2018
I agree. This will be a bumpy but upward going road.
@Lomiko
At current states Lomiko should have a market cap of at least 20Mio CAD, which would translate in a minimum PPS of 0,238 CAD. Clearly undervalued IMHO.
Very interesting interview on your blog, Gary!
Would be great to see Graphene Labs being funded by America Makes in the future.
"Regarding graphene, we are not explicitly funding any graphene projects, but wouldn’t be surprised to do so in the near future."
Glad I didn't buy..
chart might be ready for a turnaround. Closing close to 6 would be a very positive sign for the next days IMO
So far, I haven't invested in Sigma, but I'm considering it at the moment..
@Groupe Gorge
I think that the first days next week will show if we see a pullback (~18,60EUR or even 17,80EUR) or a continuation of upward movement with PPS > 22EUR. Only my two cents.
Gary, do you have any reason for your guess? Or just intuition?
A few more sentences:
As you can see, I don't see Lomiko at a market cap of 300M or 70M right now, and it will be difficult to come close to levels higher than 100M in the next months w/o groundbreaking news, if you ask me. However, up to 100M market cap (~1CAD per share) could be possible in the next months if a few solid - not groundbreaking - news are released. With groundbreaking news we will see higher levels than 100M IMO.
Thanks for answering, Gary. I do see the potential for the stock price to appreciate (significantly). At current situation w/o new news out there, PPS should range somewhere between 0,25-0,35CAD, IMO anyway.
@Gary
Thanks for sharing and I see the potential of this company. But what exactly is it that makes you believe 2014 will be a breakout year for Lomiko?
Why 15?!
@Gary: Thanks for sharing the interesting impressions on your blog!
Today an article was published on SA with the title "Why I Believe Groupe Gorge Is Worth US $35+ Thanks To Its New 3D Printer Business".
In the conclusion the author writes:
"I did some number crunching and here are my findings. I took the total market cap values of XONE, VJET, AMAVF, SSYS and DDD (as of December 11, 2013) and then I took the average from those five and compared it to Groupe Gorge. I came up with a price-per-share value for GGRGF (drum roll please…) of US $214 (Euro €155) at the same average valuations being given for those five. Just to be a bit more fair, I then only took the average market caps of XONE, VJET and AMAVF (these are more comparable to Groupe Gorge) and the new PPS valuation came out that GGRGF should be at US $43 (Euro €31) per each share."
What is really funny is that those calculations are VERY similar to my calculations from 12/12/2013, see post #68.
Funny to see my calculations on SA.
To make that clear: I'm not that guy who published the article on SA!
Not new but still good to see Prodways and the Group are getting some attention.
http://www.3dprinterworld.com/article/prodways-scores-first-success-since-being-bought-groupe-gorge
I would like to share the results of some calculations I did based on current market cap numbers of XONE, VJET, AMAVF, SSYS and DDD (closing PPS: 11.12.13).
I worked with average market cap and transferred it to Groupe Gorge to get an idea of the PPS possible when comparing to current prices of other 3D-plays.
First, I considered only the "smaller" market cap 3D companies with XONE, VJET and AMAVF: PPS for Groupe Gorge then results - at current conditions - in 43,11 USD (or 31,26 EUR).
Then, considering all five 3D companies mentioned above, the PPS comes to 214,27USD (or 155,38EUR).
This is not to be taken as an investment advice.
I expect the US exchange to be the leading one - as it almost always is - with higher volume than in Europe. But I'm not sure if this will be also true for the Grey Market. Nevertheless, price will be opening higher than 12,20EUR IMO

Thanks for the links!
Good to know!
I also like this part a lot ;) CEO surely is ambitious.
If support at 10.61/10.62 doesn't hold, we could see ~10USD again.
I agree that we will see higher prices if US discovers Prodways/Groupe Gorge. However, although Prodways is a pure 3D play it belongs to Groupe Gorge, which means that it's not a pure 3D stock. IMO this is not something to worry about but it can have advantages as well as disadvantages for PPS development.
Difficult to compare both, but concerning PPS development in the next months you could be right.
Depends. Obviously, 1USD = 0.738EUR can be an argument against investing in this one at the moment, if USD appreciates after buying the stock. But USD could also continue to depreciate or the stock could make +10% before you decide to buy, whereas your currency related loss might be only 5%..
Regardless of the currency issue, without having the stock in US, volume remains under its potential IMO.
The only real thing you have to keep an eye on when trading with different currencies is the exchange rate as changes can increase/decrease the effect of changes in share price.
BTW: If Groupe Gorge will be traded in US, then this will probably affect the PPS in Europe as it almost always does.. If US market sees the price at 15USD, then the price in Europe will follow with current exchange rate as volume will be higher in US IMO
I like the whole picture of the company and I'm looking forward to the next months. Having André-Luc Allanic in the team who actually left 3DSystems to realize his own project and now being part of Groupe Gorge looks very promising to me.
Solid results with a strong net cash and a good outlook.
What's goin on?
No, missed it.
Me too ;) Nice move today.
