Isn't this the second peer review statement? I suppose it's the first by ipix, but ctix had one as well that never cut the mustard to date, no?
Sounds like an english major, but anything is possible. 2 goggle searches of the name turned these up:

I doubt we'll see her name in the next 10q, or 10K(next year). Would think a pr would have been released.
IDK
Wow,
These cheapies are certainly a gift horse! i'm goona call in to Martha Healey next time she's on the radio(she's on monthly) just to make sure there are no added additional tax issues I may not be aware from such a gift!
I think you'll get your chance. Apparently a few on this board have excellent timing.

Can be tough to draw a picture from what one says w/o a clear description, hence the phrase- a picture is worth a thousand words. The more pictures, the keener the focus.
I wonder if he works out of Wakefield, MA, or Boca by the pool?
Where are they storing the voluminous files previously noted as why they needed all that office real estate in Beverly.
I have my hunch.
Thank you for the post, never heard it.
Agree with what you say. After 40 years I understand sugars/carbohydrates. What this guy is driving at via the study cited in the 1980's is that processed sugars are much worse than most natural sugars found in vegetables and fruits, and the processed bypasses what the starchy sugars(potatoes, peas, beans, etc) go thru and the virus perhaps feeds off the processed sugars.
I didn't eat alot of processed sugar prior to diagnosis, nor after, was not overweight(5'10~ 145-150 lbs). 25 ibs heavier today, 1 inch taller.
Who knows?
Here's at least part of it in writing. The video was ~ 1.25 hours.
https://chrismasterjohnphd.com/covid-19/could-sugar-intake-play-a-role-in-covid-19
An interesting presentation by doctor of nutrition Chris Masterjohn PHD in late August regarding how pure sugar consumption, and how it's processed, may explain some of the outcomes. It's entitled Could sugar intake play a role in Covid-19?
I can't get the link to transfer but one should be able to find it via youtube (maybe google).
Those with a medical or good science background will enjoy it.
I've had type 1 diabetes for over 40 years, sent an email to Fr. Fauci about some sort of tie between high blood sugars and covid backin late March. Received a reply stating they were being overwhelmed with requests.
This video leaves little doubt to me.
Thanks for that.
Surprised at the long list of names and affiliations. Where they not wise enough to sign a couple NDA's?
My direct questions to you are not enveloped in your linked responses.
What say you to the 3 questions I posed? Should be easy, they are very easy questions.
Perhaps you could pose an alternative question to those asked by me, or answer any one of them. I will proclaim, I do not know all.
Hint: There is only one answer- you have a 33.3% chance of being correct, that's wicked higher than the chances of ipix succeeding based upon recent, and past history.
Take a guess, if you remember the 3 questions.
Answer my 3 questions previously posted. We were always taught not to answer a question with a question, but retort, then request response(I have no relationship with Monty Python- other than I thoroughly enjoy the intelligent comedy).
"If a company files an app and it’s not complete or it doesn’t have all filing material requirements, is it entered into the database?"
Why would a company file an incomplete app. Poor Management perhaps?
On purpose perhaps? Mistake, at best.
""That paragraph doesn’t mean anything. Leo is a Liar. This is from Holidays 2016.
“Looking ahead to 2017, we intend to remain laser focused on advancing our clinical pipeline with concurrent nurturing of relationships that can potentially lead to partnerships. Productive initial dialogue with major pharmaceutical companies in 2016 has already provided clear directions”"
It's clear to me that the cfo should hire a head hunter to find a competent leader and resign himself of all titles that he possesses, and become a conscientious observer like the rest of us.
I made my first visit to then HQ in Beverly. I was concerned the share price had spent the past few months below a buck. End of the year was days away and tax decision time was upon us.
Well, as someone once said,"you cant't spend your whole life worrying about your mistakes, you messed up, you trusted us."
Those who proclaim to all that they continue to load up now at these grand discount sp's, are some of the same who opined the same back when it slipped below $2, $1, .50, etc.
There is only one reason I hold the shares I have remaining.
True post, which the one you were responding to did not refute in his/her response to it.
Looks to me as though you "killed two birds with one stone". I won't name the dodo's, but shall compliment you on good aim.

"It will be a short time and there are seven others in phase three"
I think there are more than 7 other studies in phase 3. I found 463 current studies in ph3 or ph4 that are either recruiting, not yet recruiting, active not recruiting, or enrolling by invitation.

"Yeah...we’re all anxiously awaiting the RBL and FDA statements for further fact finding. It’s coming. And Brilacidin’s chance to bask in the spotlight is still possible."
IPIX(F troop) has been reduced to a few, with with LE still leading the way(he's no Capt Parmenter(who wasn't all that swift, he's(LE) more like Cpl Agarn).
Management's lack of managerial skills has been diplayed over the years. It's been about as detailed oriented/specific as this old quote- Q: "How do you get to Fort Courage?
A: That's easy. You take a right at the rock that looks like a bear, then a left at the bear that looks like a rock..."
I suppose not all people see things the same way.
"getting us to Human Trials for Covid-19.." I missed the pr stating such. Please, can you provide the clinical trial # you refer to?
"..with Dr. Degrado recruited to assist in the process...and that is for beginners...huge accomplishment in spite of certain posters spreading misinformation"
I must agree, I hope DeGrado provides the company with long needed guidance, and advice. Regarding misinformation, I've read/heard MANY direct quotes from the cfo that have long failed to materialize- to me that explains why this stock sits in the doldrums. This is an otc stock, few know of it, and many have lost faith. Boston Business Journal no longer gives them the time a day- and they are right in their own backyard. Some would argue the misinformation, or ineffectiveness, comes from leadership. To each ones own opinion.
GL
"Great things are coming our way."
Hope so, though I've hearing that since circa 2012. Apparently that refrain has only come true for shorts and the like.
"I love my kids as much as the next parent, I encourage them to be talking with their friends on-line every day. Go outside for a least 1 hour per day. Lock down is not an issue as long as there is a way to make ends meet. I do agree it is not a long term solution. We have to find an effective drug that take care of C and I hope it will be B. In the mean time, learn from history, don't repeat the same error."
Well said, I agree. Our 18 y.o son, who actually had it, after a couple of his close friends(17-18 high yo's) were diagnosed ahead of him(all 2020 graduating seniors now). He initially viewed it as an over-rated joke based upon the response out of Washington before changing his mind. He quickly changed his tune before contracting covid, changing his view primarily because of me((i'm type 1 diabetic for over 40 years(very good control)),and reading that blood sugar levels rise(a key sign of diabetes) in many non-diabetic covid patients, and others with underlying conditions, who he may know- or not (his grandparent's, friends, neighbors, etc).
He's a recent Eagle Scout`,also an athlete and scholar, and no fool.
"94% of the people that died (according to the just published CDC report) would have died anyway due to serious underlying conditions.
what is not being talked about - instead of silly masks and social distancing - is America getting off their couch, getting exercise, stop eating fried twinkies, stop eating, drinking and smoking so much. Strong immune systems will stop Covid and the next Covid and the Covid after that,
Sheep"
All are entitled to their opinion. I disagree. Our 18 yo son, who heads out to Colorado this Friday for his freshman year, just recovered from it (worst symptoms were loss of smell/ loose bowels. His good friend contracted it first- he was working at a country club over the summer and suspects he got it there, not sure. Recovered, and left for Univ of Dayton~ 2 weeks ago. He just found out he has it again. Another good friend, and classmate of our son arrived at Notre Dame the first week of August. He took his fifth covid yesterday due to the number of postively tested students he's encountered(clear ).
Another H.S at U Alabama says it's spreading fast down there- over a 1000 reported cases in a couple weeks.
Meanwhile, where my 90 yo father lives(a reirement comm), the adminisrators made a command decision back in March(3/11, 2 days after he relocated to an apartment where all is accessible w/o a car((he still has, but uses 1-2X/week)). Prohibited all out side visitor's till just a couple weeks ago- but only 2 at any one time know, after temp check and a couple other things. This is a one stop retirement community(independent townhouses and apartments, as well as a nursing home, and recently built dementa center. It's top notch. They've had only 2 cases, both early on and played a part in their response. The husband died of covid, the wife survived. No cases since.
Party on Garth!
"GO IPIX we are on what is called the "Turtle Track Process". Generous description.
Imo, progress to date of many venues has proceeded at land snail speed. However, I'm hopeful for some success with B for covid.
"Was it Covid? Or was it the coronary artery disease, or stage five diabetes, or cancer, or COPD, etc., etc."
I've been type 1 diabetic(insulin dependent) for over 40 years (diagnosed when I was 18 in high school). Never heard of stage 5 diabetes, so googled it. Learn something new every day. Based on the linked article #1 below,I'd say I was stage 5 that January day when I was diagnosed. The Doc's first call was to the Joslin Clinic in Boston- no vacancies. I ended up going west 20 miles to a central MA hospital and spent a week in intensive care. I was ketotic well before(weeks likely) I arrived.
1. https://diabetes.diabetesjournals.org/content/53/suppl_3/S16
Doctors are beginning to believe that covid increases blood sugar levels(blood sugar is what gets out of whack in diabetics, and must be controlled via insulin injections, or oral medication(though some with type 2 also take some insulin. Type 1 diabetics produce zero insulin- was a guaranteed death sentence til Banting and Best). Covid seems to increase blood sugar levels in non-diabetics- at least some, putting them in the diabetic category.
2. https://www.nature.com/articles/d41586-020-01891-8
I emailed Dr. Fauci in late March suggesting there might be a relationship between covid and blood sugar levels. I had read back then that some of the hardest hit were the elderly and diabetics. Made me wonder what happens to blood sugar levels as one ages. Went ro clinicaltrials and searched it...Bingo, blood sugar goes up as one ages, often. See link #3 below entitled Effect of Aging on A1C Levels in Individuals Without Diabetes. Note the term A1c referenced represents the 3 month average of a persons blood sugar level.
3. https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/PMC2551641/
In my view, most of those with coronary artery disease, or stage five diabetes, or cancer, or COPD, etc., etc. would still be alive today if not for covid, That also includes overweight individuals who have succumbed to covid, and whose blood sugar levels may not have been defined as diabetic, but covid tipped the scales and unleashed cytokine storm.
jmo based on attempting to connect some dots.
Well said, coupled by a prior posters note that that guy applies technical's to a penny stock. Nothing more needs to be said, nor addressed.
That being said, I'm hoping for a miracle with this stock now, which was not why I invested initially. Haven't felt comfortable about this company for a couple years- and have feelers out in case.
Why would he not be asked to join the team, or even offer/request from "mangement" that he be considered to join the team- in some capacity?
Seems like a no brainer.
I wonder why DeGrado is not a scientific advisor or board member?
"development and formulation of Brilaciden came from top scientist from the University of Penn...including world renowned Wm DeGrado, Phd, now heading the Degrado Lab at UCSF....."
How many times over the years has that been said?
".....next two week could geht explosive...."
Ye olde chartists'.
LR is the most pragmatic of all posters, imo.
We can only hope.
If Aspire were really worth anything they would have offered to ipix management and staff, all 1 of them, to ditch the pathetic answering machine and front the company 8k/month for ~ 6 months to hire an office manager/secretary. Have you called the office recently. Might explain the non-interest.
You got a running, chronological, history on your proclamation?
Oh-boy, I reckon I should load up now since I have "dry powder"?
Thanks, been snookered enough reading past pr's, will wait for verifiable news from reputable sources.
What?
Wrong board perhaps?
“ If Brilacidin performs well in its upcoming trial against the virus, it would seemingly support a stock price increase of 1000% or more.”
Boy, I hope it would be well above a 1000% increase.... that puts ipix at just under $3/sh.
No kidding- 33K share on a 20 cent stock- hey big spender. There are many posters on this mb that "flip" that paltry amount on a daily basis it seems, all the while proclaiming to hold a "core" amount in the hundreds of thousands to millions of shares..
Bwa-ha-ha-ha-ha, as some say
"As Brilacidin is showing consistent and robust anti-SARS-CoV-2 activity across the viral lifecycle, the Company believes(read to mean "the thought is at this time(not to be confused as confirmed news) the drug could be used as a treatment for preventing
infection with COVID-19, as well as for treatment of patients once infected."
"For some, this isn't big enough news." True, because it's a forward looking statement.
Thanks for the chuckle;).
