"I love my kids as much as the next parent, I encourage them to be talking with their friends on-line every day. Go outside for a least 1 hour per day. Lock down is not an issue as long as there is a way to make ends meet. I do agree it is not a long term solution. We have to find an effective drug that take care of C and I hope it will be B. In the mean time, learn from history, don't repeat the same error."

Well said, I agree. Our 18 y.o son, who actually had it, after a couple of his close friends(17-18 high yo's) were diagnosed ahead of him(all 2020 graduating seniors now). He initially viewed it as an over-rated joke based upon the response out of Washington before changing his mind. He quickly changed his tune before contracting covid, changing his view primarily because of me((i'm type 1 diabetic for over 40 years(very good control)),and reading that blood sugar levels rise(a key sign of diabetes) in many non-diabetic covid patients, and others with underlying conditions, who he may know- or not (his grandparent's, friends, neighbors, etc).

He's a recent Eagle Scout`,also an athlete and scholar, and no fool.
