Agree with what you say. After 40 years I understand sugars/carbohydrates. What this guy is driving at via the study cited in the 1980's is that processed sugars are much worse than most natural sugars found in vegetables and fruits, and the processed bypasses what the starchy sugars(potatoes, peas, beans,etc) go thru and the virus perhaps feeds off the processed sugars.

I didn't eat alot of processed sugar prior to diagnosis, nor after, was not overweight(5'10~ 145-150 lbs). 25 ibs heavier today, 1 inch taller.
