If this technology was "worthless" as the bashers say... why would John Scott continue putting time, money, and effort into it? Why would multiple articles reinforce how much they enjoyed the tire? The credibility of the statistics on the testing.... I agree is vague. More 3rd party testing is definitely needed, which seems to be the biggest risk next to the symbol changing. Once this is released from the CBYI past I'm sure it will satisfy a lot of uncertainty some of us are facing.

Well lets break down the basics. CAPITAL. John Scott seems like a very intelligent/headstrong man that dosen't want to sell out (personal opinion from what I have been reading). Marketing this and going to the conference is a huge step in the right direction. Look how many eyes and interest camber tires created going public? This is just the tip of the iceberg.....
I can't confirm the lawsuit (john Scott vs good year), but that sounds like a great bit information and would love to know more.
Read the negative comments on the car forums and you will quickly figure out that they are mostly ignorant to what the design is actually doing. Some of them are actually quite comical.
Anyways GLTA and can't wait to watch this first thing tomorrow. Know what you own.

Welcome to CBYI. A few posters supposedly contacted them in regards to a reverse and they said they had no intentions. I also fear it will occur, but if they can get a solid base of news (symbol change) and the stock current I don't see it trading at such low levels, which I'm sure cambertire is well aware of.
Exactly why going public is great for cambertires. They can create more tires (build the options and sizes), hopefully some within spec to the stock adjustments on cars, which can be put on and a simple alignment and not have to change out parts on the vehicle. In time hopefully contract to manufactures to create the components with the proper spec OEM and run cambertires out the factor door....
These are basic marketing concepts that as just a general consumer I can see, so I can only imagine how far cambertire is going to take it.

Agreed. No need to bash DC. He did just copy and paste from the website, but it's not that simple. Cambertires is focused on race application and has what 3-4 tires currently? It's a very small company that has yet to dip into the vast market it can penetrate. This technology can be utilized for anything with a tire, which is why I think the members got hostile over.
Regardless, it's good to have people on the board like DC. Checks and balances.
Light reading This is a new technology that car manufactures will have to adapt to. Please to all the people just starting DD realize that this technology is great for the race community, which people have adapted adjustable suspension to fit the tire. Some cars currently can get a few degrees of negative camber "stock" with just an alignment and utilize these tires, but a lot need adjustable suspension parts. THIS is not a downside. It simply means we are at the birth of a new technology, ground floor!
Most street driven cars will not need 4-6 degrees of negative camber, only 1-2. A few sports car manufactures sell cars currently with a few degrees of negative camber, however they face uneven tire wear on the "square" tire of today.....
As with most new technologies in this realm it will be tested and used in race applications (currently seems to be happening according to cambertires), adopted by a few higher end car manufactures (create the suspension parts to utilize "cambertires" from the factory), and over time the general "commuter" car and other lower cost vehicles.
Cambertire needs the funds to create a vast inventory or sizes and with a small amount of camber for the average car, which I'm sure is part of the reason they went public (personal opinion)
No doubt in my mind negative camber can benefit handling and safety for a very low cost to manufactures. Some articles.
