I think you mean the options.... Not sure if that's what we are seeing here. But it's worth noting.
Per the 10Q:
"Stock Warrants - -On January 21, 2013, the Company issued Century Media Group Inc. a two year warrant to purchase up to 50,000 shares of the Company’s common stock at an exercise price of $3.00 per share (“Warrant”). The Warrant vested on the date of grant (“Grant Date”), and carries a term of two years commencing from the Grant Date. In conjunction with the issuance of the above-described Warrant, the Company cancelled a warrant previously issued to Century Media Group on February 20, 2012 (the “February 2012 Warrant”). The February 2012 Warrant consisted of a 14-month, immediately vested warrant to purchase up to 250,000 shares of the Company’s common stock, par value $.02 per share, at exercise prices of $4.50, $4.75, $5.00, $5.25 and $6.00 for each 50,000 block of shares covered by the February 2012 Warrant. The February 2012 Warrant was issued as partial consideration for a one-year investor relations consulting agreement previously entered into between the Company and Century Media on February 20, 2012 (the “Century Media Consulting Agreement”). The Century Media Consulting agreement expired on its stated termination date of February 20, 2013. As a result of the new Warrant, approximately $33,000 of stock based compensation expense was recorded in the three months ended March 31, 2013.
Stock Options - During the three months ended March 31, 2013, the Company issued options to purchase up to an aggregate of 28,750 shares of its common stock to its non-executive board members at an exercise price of $2.51 per share. The fair value of these options amounted to approximately $29,000 determined by utilizing the Black Scholes Merton option pricing model.
On January 10, 2013, the Company modified 80,000 fully vested options held by former non-executive board members that were set to expire on January 14, 2013 by extending the expiration dates to between January 2, 2014 and January 14, 2014. These options had been granted between 2009 and 2012. The incremental compensation costs associated with this modification of approximately $34,000 was recognized during the three months ended March 31, 2013 and is included in selling, general and administrative expenses."
I've been looking at the charts for trading range. This may open up to a lower range, which isn't ideal, however like you said in a prior post, this company will live and die by the merger. They are making moves to attempt to put as many shares as possible is big money hands to hold SP up. If DSS can manage to get this merger to pass through shareholder vote, the firepower being acquired will be more than sufficient to propel SP through the $5 mark... Not to mention the Millions (7 Mil if im not mistaken) in escrow as incentive to keep the price above that level for an extended period of time (40 days out of X days I believe)
There's volume behind this move... very possible I would say.
Good people.... I like your whiskey ;)
That's what these boards are for. You meet 90% fluff here, but there are several that I follow on a regular basis. You will get better and negotiating the ebb and flow of postings/posters, and eventually "collect" posters who compliment and contradict each other well. At that point you can vet the information how you see fit to best supplement your own DD, allowing you to adjust your trades/investments accordingly with more confidence. Good luck with this and other investments. I like the upside here, and in the IP sector as a whole. It is a proven and growing business model.
And there you have it. That makes sense to me. I didn't know what it was in essence, but I knew what it wasn't.... Earth shattering. Thank you, and I hope it earns the desired effect at their upcoming events.
Does it have barring on the company? Enough that they felt it prudent to add as an amendment to the prospectus. Does it directly correlate to the pending merger and subsequent IP infringement suit? I doubt it, not directly anyway. I am a layman when it comes to the logistics of Fund minimum criteria for investment and cannot begin to breach this subject without deferring to any more knowledgable than myself in this respect.
My initial reaction would be that this was in a effort to effectuate more favorable terms by which to attract big money, funds, TUTS to ultimately take more money out of shaky retail hands and put it into "old money" institutions. This could facilitate a solid platform in preparation of entry into merger and ultimately maintain SEC compliance so as to avoid RS or worse. But again, that is just my take on a subject with which I am not familiar. Any help is appreciated here from the board.
I can't say I'm done adding at these levels. But if it runs from here I'm happy with my position.
Added a good amount today at .40
Happy with my current position. Good day in the IP sector as a whole.
Can't argue with you on the upside statement. Trying to wrap up my day now then have a dinner date with my daughter. Ill shoot you an email later and we can talk. Good day overall for the IP sector.
2 weeks to several months. The hearing itself is only 3 hours give or take.
No sir.... Drone please. The more info the better. TIA
This company has ammunition for days. The best part here is that they have already proven effective at monetizing these patents vis a vis recent settlements. I'm still a little jaded at the efficiency of a company in its infancy, so close to inception no less. It will be interesting to see outcomes once a large company (Sony maybe?) proceeds with litigation. Encouraging at this point ever way.
You my friend take it to a whole 'notha level..... Wicked smaut!
Patent Plays will tell us on SA right? ;)
Correct. I have been discussing this in depth with several people. I'm encouraged
I read it this morning in passing and realized it after the fact.
Thank you. Message stickied
Disregard
Can you provide the source for this? I'd like to Sticky this if it is in fact from a company source. TIA
Order to add at .39
Let's see if this gets filled
I apologize, and I will make an effort to "dig" deeper to control my ego so as to be more constructive in the vetting of information as we proceed. I'm glad a benevolent soul such as yourself is here to regulate those like myself that may get frustrated by the mundane over-analyzation of message fragments and unnecessary beating of dead horses in off-topic threads such as this. I am remised and sincerely apologize to any and all offended on this board, and more so for anyone annoyed with this particular subject and the length to which it has been dragged out this morning.
End of subject
Good start this morning, print .47
I'll be back here around 1:00 to check on how things progress. Good luck guys!
"Rather condescending wouldn't you say." <?
Maybe, but I like to think most here have thicker skin than my 10 year old daughter.
"Always someone who believes they are smarter than the world."
Nope, but again a 10 year old could interpret the positive tone of that 2 sentence preface.
"Get over yourself and come back down off that pedestal."
Duly noted and I agree completely that this should not be focused on me, my observation of an observation, or your disdain for my choice in words, but rather the underlying security in which all here are invested. I am here to vet information and make money like everyone else... And it is my interpretation of EDVAs article that the underlying tone of the two sentences was positive.
IMO, nothing has changed fundamentally with this company or the litigation process. Because of this there is no reason to believe that the SP should not follow historical pre-Markman upward trends associated with PAEs. GL to all and I'm looking forward to the run-up between now and the end of June.
Yes you are correct, thank you for Interjecting here. I hope EDVA uses (not utilizes) smaller words (not rhetoric) next time in his article (not manifesto) so that there is not so much confusion as to what his 2 sentence preface to a future article will incorporate into the subject matter. It's exhausting to keep going back and forth on definitions of words learned in grade school, that some have just googled to comprehend here. The SP will go up over the next month. Good morning all and have a great weekend :)))))
"I figured you were a bit deeper in the pool than you portrayed."
Not by much though
Glad to have you here, and I know a few others on this board as well who are also fantastic assets to have along. We have somehow been lucky enough to pull a couple investors (who shall remain unnamed so as not to offend others) whom I feel confident in regarding their information as factual and without motive. Good night and good luck
"There are some documents..... which may be highly probative in the event that Worlds prevails in their Markman hearing, which as we will explain in depth next week we feel they will"
Can't take that any other way than positive don't you think?
"Nolerman,
Just giving you a chartist view of the other IP board you post on. Your support is currently .40 with a big drop if it falls after that. and big resistance at .44"
Thank you for the response Chas. I have to make a confession in the interest of full disclosure. I am not nearly as chart illiterate as I often lead on to be, and it is often a loosing attempt at humor or a simple intentional catalyst to provoke a change in paradigm regarding conventional wisdom when investing in a particular stock. There are several sectors that I feel are most effectively monetized with fundamental knowledge as opposed to chart analysis...PAE's happen to be one of those. I will always use universal chart basics such as RSI and volume trend indicators, but I try to passively persuade investors to invest in educating themselves on sector and industry specific fundamentals to help better prepare them to recognize trends and effectuate trades. In the mean time, please feel free to send any and all chart information you like, there is never such thing as too much information on a forum intended to educate investors. Plus, I am a sucker for knowledge that makes me better at making money. GL to all here and I look forward to sharing as we move forward. We have an excellent, grounded, intelligent board here with just right amount of cynicism to maintain the integrity of a board most should feel confident in resourcing for facts.
Fair enough, I tend to keep it simple.... 6 mo short, 1+ yr is long and longer. My core portfolio is more of a "stay put as long as you continue to make me money" term concept.... Hence why apple got the boot a few months ago. There are a lot of exciting and scary dynamics at play here that make me highly interested and highly entertained by MARA. I'll be here For a while until/unless acts change.
He disappeared after his last pick preceded an immediate 90% drop to today's current levels. I believe he was better off sticking to his guns with WDDD. Then again just the opinion of a layman.
"This IP thing is the wild west"
The IP sector has also outperformed the market the last 5+ years and has now become a legitimate and profitable business model. This particular company (1 of 5 I am currently invested in) has excellent potential and a unique business model not yet seen in this sector. It is a very exciting and opportunistic time to be a shareholder with DSS.
Got ya... Now I understand. No, not down, emotionally or in the investment. Ill be here for a while. GL to you as well
I agree on all accounts, but I'd like to know your definition of near to mid-term. Ill be adding if we dip another cent
I would stick to the story.... It's convincing and potentially very profitable. I'm not much on cheer leading, but I am encouraged moving forward. We shall see where this story leads, and I wouldn't be surprised to see another settlement announced in the next month. The remaining two (largest paychecks as well) may go to trial, or at least see this through Markman. July 1st will provide a lot of clarity to the market and those with a ground floor position will be in a very actionable position to profit handsomely here.
I'm not a chartist.... But it looks eerily like a cup and a handle.
"Why the possitive attitude.Recent events? Oh well at least you will be buying.gl"
I have been and remain positive here, as there has been no fundamental change in facts. All positive catalysts remain in play, no negative catalyst of material importance have entered into the fray, and the pending merger with a company already proving effective at monetization of patents (prior to Markman hearing no less) is drawing closer as we near July 1st. Are you an investor? Do you have a current negative attitude? If so why?
I'll be adding on the dip today.
I should ad stay this is in leu of settlement of course.
You remained in the stock post Markman. Once you enter the trial period traders rule the roost for a long time... Usually 1-3 years depending on a variety of issues ranging from the complexity of the issues in suit to the mood of the judge on any given day. If you look at VRNGs chart at the same point in the litigation process last year you will see a pattern that should provide a little comfort for WDDDs current chronological position. This should be a good position for a 30% run into Markman IMO.
I'm reading a lot on this one, however I'm having difficulty discerning any near-term catalysts. Are there any? Or is this simply a raw speculation play with what seems to be a decent business model in a fantastic geographic location for their sector?
My only question is how many legacy sellers are still waiting the eject in the next .5-.10 range. I think we have seen a bit of the .5 peeps taking profits. I wonder if the same will occur around the .54 SP area. I'm still very interested in this one.
