Why would a "casual observer" be a mod and waste his time on a message board for a stock that serves no purpose of financial gain?
Thank you very much for this Phred. I think we all tend to fall into the "board mentality" and just simply cheerlead for whatever side we are on, long or short. But nothing beats cold hard numbers. This is a fantastic write-up BASED ON FACTS, which lately a lot of posts on the board have been lacking. Any potential investor or anyone on the fence should take a close look at this. The reasons you mentioned are exactly why it is the only OTC stock I trade as well. It is not your typical OTC and has too much potential to pass up!
Love everything about this Co. Gonna be a great year! Wish I had some more dry powder to invest. Can't wait for the conference call!
Literally couldn't be happier with what EWSI has done so far. I've been here for about a year and a half, and the progress that has been made since they deployed their new business model a year ago is impressive. Martin's experience and connections are going to continue to keep driving this forward at a rapid rate, just like he did with the GAP, Businessland, and Corp Express. Glad to have been here since the ground floor, and can't wait to see what the future brings :)
If anyone is on the fence about investing here, obviously do your DD, and notice how much the company has accomplished in such a short period of time, regardless of what anyone else says.
LOL, um, everything? Companies constantly make changes to their business plans based on the share price. Recent example: Best Buy, who completely revamped the way they did business because of a drop from $25 to $11 over a one year period. After changing and revamping their business practices to be more updated with the way consumer electronics was moving, they are up to $37.
The exact same thing can be said for ANY startup company or penny stock. Crying "there is no proof of revenues" does not mean there are no revenues...
Martin has been incredibly successful in his career with aggressive growth, and has never once had any reported "SEC investigations" or been publicly accused of fraud. My money is safe here, and I couldn't be happier with EWSI's progress.
JMHO
He lives in London... lol
Agreed Bucky. I think everyone forgets this is still a small company, which has done incredible things revenue wise already without just dumping tons of shares into the pool. Obviously, everyone has their own opinion, but I believe Martin has done a great job managing the finance side of things. It still takes money to make money, but the fact that revs are increasing so quickly means it is only a matter of time before the first profitable quarter, and I believe it is going to be sooner than we think.
I look forward to buying more on Friday (assuming we are still in this range) because I personally believe there will be some pretty big news before Christmas time. Now that Martie and Co do not have to worry about the financials filing period, we should be able to get a little more insight into things they are working on.
It's been a great year, lets finish it strong :)
Happy Thanksgiving WC! Im thankful TO BE INVESTED in EWSI. Ive made a nice chunk of change this year because of this amazing stock. Its all about perception. Keep in mind, it costs money to make money, and almost every company borrows money in the start-up stages. No one that they have borrowed money from has taken any legal action, simply meaning they have an agreed upon deal in place to pay back at a later date. Not a big deal at all, especially for a company who is increasing revenues at an amazing rate. LOVE THIS STOCK! Enjoy your holiday! (if you are in the states)
Lets close the day strong! Everything is looking good here, just a matter of time (next few trading days) and we should see a nice bump up with the financials :)
EWSI!
Well said, Big. Its all part of the circle of life that is the stock market. All types of traders/investors need all the others in order to make it what it is.
And as long as you continue to post the still smiling messages, I'll be smiling too!
Although I no longer have shares here, I hope this all gets resolved ASAP. Vringo will get their money, but the journey has taken way too long. I needed to put funds elsewhere, but I have no doubts that if anyone here can wait it out, you'll be rewarded
Yeah, owning 7% of a profitable company in a growing industry. Who in their right mind would want that.... LOL
Martin has done it before as well. He specializes in rapid growth. Did it with Businessland, did it with Corporate Express, helped turn the GAP into what it was... thats 3 $1 Billion+ companies. The odds are in EWSI's favor that he turns this into something very profitable as well
Thats ANY company. Go look at Apple's financials. They get recycled/trade-in iPhones back from Best Buy and other major retailers all the time, but it will not go into detail on how many dollars of recycled product equated into how many dollars of parts into the new product. But no one would be making your argument about Apple.
It is the way the game works. Companies do not need to go into every incredibly small detail on how every dollar is spent. We know that EWSI is growing. Their revs grew, as did expenses. But their revs were greater than COGS, and they are taking large steps to becoming profitable.
You cant pick and choose what facts to include, you should know that since you are pointing to GAAP.
Licensing fees accounted for an ADDITIONAL $300,000, which is part of the influx of cash flow that is added into revenues.
That makes them positive $200,000.
Not to sound like I'm saying you don't understand the accounting procedures companies use and how it effects stock trading, for all I know you are better at it than I am, so excuse me if this comes off as speaking in laymans to a non-layman:
This is a company with many different revenue streams. They are involved in e-waste, reverse logistics, software, licensing agreements, management contracts, recently added GoEZ into the fold as well, and looking for other streams constantly. Although they are required to follow GAAP, there are SO many pieces of information based on all those rev streams that dont get put into sub-categories on Financial Statements. They are included of course, but grouped, not broken down into as many subtleties as possible. There will always be some guessing/deciphering about where particular costs are coming from. All we know is that the cost is there, but not necessarily from what part of the process.
Revenue was still higher than COGS, by $200k. Keep in mind they are procuring "parts" (e-waste) from all over the US plus other contries, but we will stick to US for an example. As a small but growing (quickly if I might add) company, the costs of acquiring and transporting goods will be a bit higher. They have new expenses from the factories that they know own/lease that they did not have last quarter. It is possible for them to lower these costs substantially once A) They have a bit of time to find the "bottlenecks" in profitability through operations (they did JUST acquire a few larger monthly expenses that they never had, time to figure out how to improve efficiency is necessary), and B) Continue to streamline the logistic side, as far as transferring materials to their main plants from any ZIP in the US. And this only covers the ewaste/reverse logistics portion.
hope this helps, and again hopefully im not coming off as being a know-it-all, just all in my opinion and personal experience of course.
COGS didnt exceed revenues.... lol
From the 10-q:
For the 3 months ended June 30th 2013:
Total Revenues: $2,737,308
COGS: $2,534,626
Gross margin: $202,682
Sudden growth of income when acquiring revenue streams and having negative margin is incredibly common. They don't get those revenue streams for free...
The plus side in that is the acquisition costs are one time events, so now they just generate revenue. This Q should look much cleaner on the financial statements.
4. What costs are included in the computation of COGS?
Allowable costs for COGS generally include costs related to the acquisition and production of tangible personal property or real property. See Rule 3.588 for detailed listing of costs that may be included in COGS.
Gotta love tax laws
Lol he cant cash in before .20
There is a REASON he did that. He knows he will get this up to .20 at a minimum. Lets keep in mind he is still entitled to be paid. He has put a lot of his salary on hold so he can keep more money in the company to continue to move it forward. I'm thankful at how he has chosen to do it, personally.
Oh we've seen it (well at least I have, since they havent exactly tried hiding their intentions lol)
A certain poster who will remain nameless was a huge supporter of this stock in July (love being able to look at everyones previous posts) and as soon as the buzz wore off from the huge PPS increase when the Q was released, he immediately started saying EWSI isnt legit and is just releasing fluff.
People will make money whatever way they can, unfortunately some resort to novice scare tactics and straight out lying to reach their goal :(
That being said, the goals here havent changed. There havent been any changes in the business plan that just generated us 1000% rev increase in 3 months. Martin is still the captain of the ship, and he KNOWS what he is doing. We just play a bit of the waiting game. This isnt a rich-overnight stock, but it will be a rich stock.
The PPS skyrocketed because its a 1000% rev increase. Most of COGS was ONE TIME COSTS in acquisition costs. By the next 10-Q COGS will be dramatically lower (on those revenues, not necessarily in general since they could make more acquisitions) while still maintaining the revenues from those acquisitions.
In short: they paid money to get those revenue streams. That money has already been paid. Now they just get constant revs from them.
I'm not sure why its showing up as news, the link even states on bottom that Elite Trading was not compensated for it, so it is NOT a paid promo by EWSI or any of the companies listed. Kinda weird that it shows up as news, but heck, maybe it happens more with other stocks and I just dont notice
Just my honest opinion - JMHO
Haha bucky. I really need to get private messaging on here. I remember first reading about Fibonacci and its applications in trading, and thought to myself "This sounds like something the Illuminati would have their hand in" when it referenced how Fib sequences show up in nature. Tree branches, pine cones, various types of coral: they all start with very little spaces between the next unit, and gradually grow outward (or vice versa) in Fib sequences. Crazy stuff
Anyhow, back onto EWSI topic. Im not concerned at the price movement. Many of us longs have loaded up, and we probably arent getting near as many big buys in the last few days. MMs and some savvy shorts will do what they do best, but as new longs enter the fray and start pressuring it upwards, the MMs and shorts take a step back or find a more favorable stock for playing games. Short term means nothing in this one. Come quarter 3 fins we will be to new highs. IMO of course
Crazy to think that Wilder's ideas have stood the test of time for 35 years and are some of the most widely used of technical indicators, and he came up with them without the use of the computer programs that we rely so heavily on
Name even 3 companies that are zero-landfill, have their own unique software (which carries hefty markup profits), can collect from any ZIP code in the USA, and has a CEO that was in executive positions for THREE $1bil+ companies in his lifetime.
Not to mention, the PR today with GoEz... Their CEO Ed Torres used to be with Proctor and Gamble...now thats 4 $1bil+ companies....
More negative posts of no fact or substance
And seasoned investors know how to play this one too: They keep a core position and trade some of their other shares when the price dictates. There has been absolutely no reason to want to sell completely out of this stock. 1000% increase in revenues in THREE MONTHS is just about the only info needed. They have already closed those acquisitions, so not only does the revenue stay/grow, but the costs are now lower. They have been completely transparent and keep us up to date on anything in the works, and put out PRs only when appropriate. Until something in the balance sheet shows otherwise, there would be no reason to short/not have a position here
LOL oh my...
You do realize shareholders of record do not include every individual that owns a share through online brokerages correct? Please tell me you know this....
There are way more than 19 people that own shares bud, might wanna read up on where that number comes from
I'll never blame anyone for getting nervous when large amounts of money are at stake. If people want to panic sell out of one of the best pennies I have ever seen, thats certainly their choice. But with everything Martin and Co have done in the last 6 months, it would be incredibly foolish to sell out this early. They aren't done yet, nowhere near it
Well said Luker. Plenty of companies are content with just doing one thing well and trying to monetize that. EWSI is finding as many revenue streams as possible, and becoming the "total solution." Everything theyve got in the pipeline right now is exciting considering how big of a problem e-waste is globally. And if the electronic giants (Apple, Microsoft, Samsung, etc) can find more ways to get tax credits and deductions as you mentioned in a previous post, you better believe they are going to take that option
Well said Legs. This is the stock market...its not one constant slope upwards over months and months: it is choppy and green one day, red the next. But we are still trending STRONGLY upwards, and that isnt changing anytime soon. Martin has a proven track record, quite honestly one of the best I have ever seen to be honest. 6 cents is just the tip of the iceberg. Kudos if you took profits, but I'll keep my shares as he continues to deliver on his promises, and make a whole lotta money doing it
Marine, no offense, but you're coming off as a bit foolish in these posts. You're saying you don't have time to read the websites and such, and that's fine. But then that means you aren't doing your DD, you're asking for others to do it for you. Instead of posting, you should be reading. Many of us here can tell you everything the company does, but you should be WORKING for your money. In the time it's taken you to read and write these posts, you could have already read the links on the front page here.
It's not "insecurity", its that you come off as bashing. You just said "where are the financials" when they were released monday. People can have any opinion they want, that is your right as a person. But at least research your opinion bud. Everyone has different thoughts as to where it might go price wise. But not many of us care about the short-term IMO. EWSI has done AWESOME things in only 3 months time, and Martin's track record proves he has done this in the past with other companies. Thats why everyone is so optimistic LONG TERM
Good point Benster. I know some people are profit-taking, that's a given. I dont think any of us longs are, but I'm sure some lurkers knew the Q was coming out, bought it on Monday, sold on Tuesday. Hell, I would have had I not been here for over a year accumulating as much as I can with the belief I have in Martie's ability to continue to aggressively hit business plan goals. I won't even consider selling until .50 (unless things DRASTICALLY change of course)
Oh, and OVER-valued? Funniest thing I've heard in awhile man lol. Part of the massive buying is that it is UNDERvalued. This is a company that inked multiple deals of $1mil+ per year in the last 3 months. A company that is looking to decrease the share count by 25% in the next few weeks. A company that increased their revenues tenfold from last quarter until now and has been completely transparent. They have an aggressive business plan that they are executing FLAWLESSLY, and you call it OVERvalued??
LOL.... its called they had 10x the revs this quarter from the last quarter. They did release the financials already. And people are taking profits. Like you said, it had a big jump, a lot of people made a lot of money, so a lot of people sold. You new at the stock market bud?
I'm still half-asleep, so I don't know if you are being sarcastic or not haha. The 2nd Quarter financials were released Monday after close. Although there wasn't a "PR" on it specifically. We just knew they would be out Monday after close and then checked the SEC filings site
