Looking at the Trades tab on IHUB, I can see that 13,122 shrs were traded right at market close at $7.65/she. That's $100,000. Someone is a believer.
Stupidly, I still have a few hundred shares of what was HRPTY. Is there any way for a US trader to redeem these shares? Any advice appreciated.
Thanks to all that reported the truth about Petro RIO. These jerks really took us down.
As explained on CNBC Friday, we likely can expect crack spreads to widen as feedstocks (crude) continues to be pumped, creating a surplus, and a shortage of refined products (chiefly gasoline and jet fuel) causes the selling price to increase. Thus, more margin for the refiners that are still on line.
I have no idea what the capacity of CVRR is at Coffeyville is. Hopefully they have not shut down anything for seasonal Maintanence or seasonal changeover. If so, I'm hopeful they are working hard to get 100% capacity back on line.
Watch CVRR carefully. It began to move Friday as news of Harvey became more certain and dire. If you have software that will show you volumes at the 5 or 15 min timeframes, note large volume surge near or at the close. I've been scaling in all day Friday. I see recent (August) resistance at about 9.65.
I am a long term loser in CVRR. BOT when MLP's were the thing to own. Stupidly, never sold my shares. Didn't really want to recoup my losses on other people's misery. God be with the good people around the Houston area.
Dude, it's not BS, but there is NO DOUBT in my mind that the shorts on this board are working overtime using the idea to scare people out of their positions. We have to learn to trade the charts based on support and resistance and tune out their BS.

Been thinking about this. There may be another offer come in which might push the $75 offer higher. I'm going to hang for a while.
She thanks you.
I listened to my wife!
One night a few weeks ago the local news ran a piece on this new drug that had been approved for double-chins and neck fat problems. She said right then, "You better buy that stock. Women will pay up for those injections to improve their aging faces and avoid expensive plastic surgery." So, next day I bought the stock at about $45. Sold August Calls for income at $55. (Big mistake). Bought another 100 shares at $55 and sold more August 65 Calls for income. (Another mistake.). Meanwhile nice gains and nice income from the calls to lower average cost of shares. Looked at the stock this morning and saw the price at $74+ and how much my calls had gone against my gains. Gulp! Then I calculated the delta between the loss in the Calls and the gain on the shares. Delta $1000 in my favor. As I was trying to decide whether to buy the calls back (first time for me to do this), I decided to look at the news to see what was driving the stock up. BUYOUT AT $75. SCORE!! No way to lose now if I buy the calls and the price goes down unless the deal goes through. Only upside for a counter-offer. So, I pulled the trigger!
It's been an exciting morning. Thanks for listening to my story.
Moral of story is listen to your wife once in a while. )
My lucky day!!

Cramer says to OWN Apple - don't trade it. I think the same is true of these (better) biotechs.
WF
Poppa, I know. I just thought I'd calm down the hype with a little reality sunshine.
WF
Penny, WOW. No sooner said that and the stock move to $2.57. Let's see what it does at the $2.59 resistance line. My momentum indicators are all beeping at me. APT has some much needed energy.
WF
Penny, not true. Last run took it to $2.91 on March 3 as part of the Earnings announcement. It then dropped like a rock and bottomed out at $2.11 on April 16th. APT is still working off that disappointment. BUT, we now have a couple of germ scares and APT is making a run. Broke through resistance at $2.48 this morning. Sure hope that holds as that resistance line now becomes support.
I own this turkey at $2.75. My bad. Should have set some stops and lived with them. Anyway, it's moving in the right direction for us longs.
Next line of resistance is $2.59.

WF
There is fairly strong chart resistance at $2.31, plus the 50 DMA is at $2.37, which should act as resistance. Now may be a good time to take some off the table.
WF
Nicely done, North. I appreciate your insight and opinions.
WF
Drill, if I reading this correctly, all US holders of HRT shares will be charged 2 cents per share for a stock that we can't even trade on US markets. Do I have this right?
WF
APT has now retraced 38% of its downward move since its high on March 3rd. APT continuing its upward bias.
WF
APT announced 1st qtr earnings at market close today. They looked good to me. Excellent sales increases across all of their divisions. The company has NO DEBT and an unused $3.5 mil credit facility and a good stock repurchase program.
APT up 6 of 7 days in a row. Today up substantially on improved volume. Breaching 50 SMA. (I misspoke on 4/27 about the 40 day SMA). Thankfully, APT is waking up from its bad run.

APT up 5 days in a row!! Yesterday on impressive volume. Something's strutting this stock.
APT breaching 40 day SMA. Four up days in a row. Any news?
Interesting article. However, after reading Mr. Ross's last sentence comment, I'm left to wonder if Mr. Ross isn't a bit out of touch. IMO, those workers ARE sitting by the phone waiting for that call back to work. They'll never replace oil field wages at their local Walmart. IMO, they certainly are ready to get back to those well-paying jobs, Mr. Ross.
WF
How much of the HRT blocks are already included in the deal with the Russians?
I think we should all call IR and insist that this be addressed at their next earnings conference presentation. This is ridiculous.
Liquidity or liability?
Note last paragraph beginning "Petro Rio." Impressive change in leadership. Nice words. Impressive action to follow? We'll be watching.
Drill,
Grateful for your continued informative posts.

8th,
Thanks so much for your analysis. Very enlightening.
WF
Andrew,
Could you please explain more about your thoughts on the share buy back program and share price. I calculated their average buy back price at about $2.16. Thanks,
WF
Trading near critical 12/19/14 support of $2.45. Sure hope this holds. I had my stops set at $2.57 this morning and I cancelled them. I never seem to learn.

WF
APT found support at $2.59 this morning. Needs to push through $2.71 to fill the gap and get back on track. Seems like a buying opportunity at current price of $2.64.
We will see.
WF
Another interesting point is their share buyback program at an average price of $2.16 with more to come.
WF
Andrew, thanks for the informative update.
WF
MG,
"Small company amateurs."
I thought the same thing in my frustration over perceived delays in their earnings announcement.
At the risk of sounding like a cheerleader for APT, they reported right on time and seemed to be pretty well buttoned up having just come out of a frenzied 4th qtr. The only thing I thought was disappointing was their gross margins slipped a bit. Hopefully they can get that item back in line soon.
WF
Andrew, facts please. Please support your statement. I have $$$ invested here. Don't need unsupported statements or innuendo.
WF
4th quarter Earnings announced. See release at www.alphaprotech.com/investors
Net income up 31.9%.
WF
Funny how price action meandered around all day and then rose to the high of the day - just before close.
You wait. There WILL be inside trading shortly before the earnings.
WF
Xanadu,
Thanks for the messages. I don't have a privateer account to reply to. Interesting thoughts, however.
Thanks,
WF
Antenahum,
You make a good point. Brazil is in recession and the petro market is on its butt. (As we all know too well!). Cash is king!! My guess is that there are a lot of good properties available to the "right people" right now at very depressed prices. Especially with people well connected with the government owned PBA. IF (big if) HRT can score some farmouts by the end of this month as promised, it would be one heck of a reversal in the Company's fortunes. Just thinking out loud.

MiamiGent,
Thanks for your reply. I think, unless management just went nuts "self-funding" expanded manufacturing and distribution facilities, earnings should be very good. Sales Volume cures a lot of problems. These guys should have an incredible sales increase which I would expect to drive impressive earnings.
Lastly, a company with a balance sheet as clean as theirs is, is likely to be conservatively managed and well disciplined. So, I expect excellent sales with controlled expenses, increased capital spending on facilities and increased earnings. Should be a good report and a good bump in share price.
WF
MiamiGent,
Soon, I hope to be a New Smyrna Beach gent!
