Please do, thanks. Might be some cool stuff in the dumpster out back.
A back yard BBQ sounds like an awesome idea. If you find the KEP's, you could use them as really big corn cob holders.
Best wishes to you, Sir.
Keith
Now that the product has launched, I would expect there to be patent work published. Perhaps that will reveal some of the details.
Thank you!
Very glad to see this project completed, I was very honestly getting worried about it. I think that even the smaller projects are critically important to LQMT in building (or re-building) their reputation and brand.
Judging from the guitar forums, it might take some time to gauge the demand for the pins. Few users understand what LiquidMetal is or how it affects the performance and sound of the guitar.
I know its just a small item, but it would still be nice if the revenue from the initial production of this inventory was early enough to be included in the Q1 earnings.
I think this is a very positive event for all of us. Cheers and have a great weekend,
Keith
Exactamundo. Hypothetical question: Will Li put more of "his" money into LQMT if it is not successful by the time the current investment is spent?
Tick tock....
Just to be clear, I didn't say that the pins weren't happening. They're just not happening on the schedule that Martin said they would. Hopefully they are just delayed for a short time. IMO, we would really like to have these things become a success.
At 3:40 Fred Greene talks about the LQMT pins and says they are available in the 1833 shop. They're not listed there yet, but are available through the custom shop if you order a custom made guitar.
Fred Greene - Red Dot Pins
On Facebook, Martin replies twice that the pins will be available as an aftermarket item in "early April", and again replies with "April" as an availability date. I guess they have two days left to make April.
Martin Facebook
Fred Greene also states pins available around $150 as an aftermarket item. Still not listed in the Martin store. Guitar Center took down the interview, but its still available through the wayback machine.
http://web.archive.org/web/20190323161702/https://www.guitarcenter.com/riffs/interviews/guitars/martin-modern-deluxe-series---first-look-with-fred-greene
All I'm saying is that the sale of the pins as an aftermarket item didn't happen on the schedule that Martin estimated that they would. It just fuels my skepticism of LQMT. Hopefully they will be out soon, but this matters to me because if the pins had launched on time then I would have been optimistic that the sales revenue to LQMT would have been recorded in Q1. As it stands now, I think that is unlikely.
Thanks, fyi.
Sometimes I wonder how these people find their way to work in the morning. Looks like the advertised early April launch of the Martin bridge pins is another swing and a miss. Embarrassing.
IIRC, the LQMT part was going to be an anvil or similar part of the device that would attach the tendon connection (SS / Poly implant as you mentioned).
https://www.liquidmetal.com/conextions/
Of course, LQMT likes to announce when a project starts, but never when it ends (without a contract, of course). So this one could have withered on the vine and we would never know it. I can't find any mention of LQMT, BMG, Vitreloy, or any connection between LQMT and Conextions in any patent work, so I'm not sure if Conextions is still interested in LQMT or not.
Tick tock, indeed.
In the Annual Report, LQMT reports that they have gone from 5 down to 3 "major" customers. I think "major" is a relative term here. The only current customers that I know of are Martin, Swatch, and Zyris. None of which have produced any meaningful revenue to date. Martin stated on their Facebook page that the bridge pins will start selling independently in "early April". To my mind, that time will pass by the end of next week. So I'm interested to see if it happens on time or not.
Unfortunately, I agree with you that in the near term at least, Conextions is not relevant to us. Cheers,
Try this link. I think the website was restructured recently, so our old link is broken. I'm using Safari, and if I hover my cursor over each question title, a popup in English translation appears. Best I could come up with for now. Cheers,

Good news. Thanks,
Thank you, Josh.
Exactly.
By “Screw up”, I meant that LQMT needs to deliver the appropriate quality and quantity of parts, on time, consistently. Nothing more, nothing less. You are correct, everything else has already been developed and established.
Hoping for good things to come,
One of the nice things about these pins, according to Greene, is that they can go on any acoustic guitar. Doesn't have to be a Martin, could be any guitar brand. So the customer base could end up being much larger than the Martin buyer / owner. At least until another BMG company knocks off the product and sells it for less, lol.
LQMT can't afford to screw this up. We've had enough flops. Players are already skeptical and misinformed (read the comments online), so this product needs to be perfect and amaze. Word of mouth will either save us or kill us.
Here's something easy to follow. Forgive me if it has been posted already.
As has been posted here before, Fred Greene from Martin has stated in interview and on YouTube that the LiquidMetal bridge pins will be available for purchase from Martin's 1833 shop for about 150USD per set. According to Greene, they can be installed in any acoustic guitar, .
Martin further states on their Facebook page that the pins will be available for purchase in early April. To me, that means within the next 2-3 weeks. I haven't checked any of the import records, but I would imagine that the pins are produced by Eon in China and then shipped to Martin. So watch the guitar forums after the pins become available and perhaps you will get a sense for their popularity (or lack thereof). If the pins are available by early April, I would also imagine that they have already been shipped to Martin, and therefore Eon / LQMT has been paid for the inventory and that revenue would be included in the Q1 report due by mid-May. Hopefully it will boost our rather anemic revenue, but only time will tell.
For me, this is the first time that we've had anything tangible to look forward to regarding earnings. I think it will get better as the year goes on and the word gets out in the acoustic guitar community. If we're really fortunate, eventually someone well known will endorse them. Hopefully its not a flop.
Cheers,

Feel free to show me the electric components in Martin's guitars, lol.
FWIW,
From the Eontec investor Q&A section of Shenzhen Stock Exchange, 2016:
Awesome! Great find and thank you very much for posting.
Although we haven't achieved much reportable revenue from Martin to date, making this product directly available to consumers I'm sure will be a big hit and increase the sales volume. I think $150 is doable for many folks. I can't wait.
I also found it interesting that Martin approached LQMT and not the other way around. I'm thankful that they did. I guess Martin needed time to vet the product and develop something for the masses. I think it could be a big hit with musicians.
Cheers,
Keith

Rhetorical question: Why do I have the feeling that this thing is still going to take a while?
None of this directed at Carson, and thanks for posting. Cheers,

I think someone screwed up. The ticker symbol on the form (LQDA) is for Liquidia.
Nice work, Bro.
Thanks, Danny. Great to hear from you as well, glad you are still here. Yes, it sure has been a long time coming, even for a relative newbie to the stock like me. Although I think we're still a little ways off, I can rest assured now that we will at least achieve success at some point in time.
Glad you got the house taken care of, you are in a really beautiful part of the country.
And I love, love, love your screen name!
Chris
No worries, just Google "North America" and you'll have the answer :)
I will concede that the author of 1.21 either doesn't like to proof their work or doesn't have a very good grasp of contract language, but I think that our discussion is still valid.
Cheers,
Rige -
Mexico is within North America, not South America as WW suggested. According to 1.21 as listed, LMT Exclusive Territory consists of the United States and the rest of North America. Hence, may we conclude that for the purposes of the cross licensing agreement, that Mexico lies within LMT Exclusive Territory?
Thanks,
Many thanks. Best wishes to everyone, including CIMA. I'm laughing with him, not at him, as we've all had our ups and downs and failed predictions and hopes. I've had my share too. Perhaps one day the dream will come true for all of us.
Looking forward to hearing what everyone has to say about the OH, thanks to those who are taking the time to attend. Cheers,
Keith
I would go to the OH but can't get the time off right now. Would be fun to see the machines, but don't think that it would change my outlook since its not likely that any non-public info would be disclosed.
Thanks for sharing the great DD and giving us something to sink our teeth into, much appreciated.
Hope all is well -
Now that's funny, I don't care who you are.

Meaningless? I'll put my faith in Gamesc, he's earned it.
LOLZ. Lost 12 grand on RVPL when it was suspended - poof. Enjoyed my conversation with the SEC investigators, very happy to see that action was taken. Taught me some valuable lessons about DD and what can be fabricated. Will be watching to see how this one turns out.
That message from Dick is hilarious. When I contacted a couple of the government officials in the African countries listed in the "business agreements" filed with the SEC, they wanted to know where to find Peterson. The government officials seemed to think that Petersen owed them a bit of money, lol.
No jail time, bummer
Hopefully Peterson is next.
I tried to send a private reply since I said that I was done with the board, but couldn't PM since I no longer have a subscription.
You are correct and I agree with your statements wholeheartedly.
Best wishes,
You are correct, I have been critical of Tom at times. He's had some rather significant missteps of which we are aware, and I am also far less than satisfied with disclosure during CC's for instance. But I don't sit here day in and day out, attacking him as a person and even lying ( sorry, turns out it was "artistic license") about the company execs just to sway opinion.
To your Materion question: Dilution (PIPE), loans, or net revenue. Simple. And I fully expect more dilution is coming shortly after the March annual report, and May Q1 CC. That is what has happened historically, do the CC and then announce the bad news shortly thereafter. Company has stated that there is enough cash on hand to get through mid-2016 IIRC, so we will be due for that very soon.
I don't interpret your question as negativity, but rather a realistic and relevant consideration. But, do you think that it is possible to discuss our displeasure with the dilution and not attack the personal character of the CEO at least 20 times in the process? (Watts, not you). That is what I mean about the negativity.
There is / has been plenty of things wrong with RSM. Our last customer contract failed miserably (Milter Adams) and now it looks like we are pimping unpaid inventory on our web page just to recover a few bucks. I am very disappointed that this is what a prospective customer of Engel ( for arguments' sake, let's say BMW, Benz, Audi) sees when they go to our website to check us out. I think that establishing an honorable and competent reputation is far more valuable to us right now than getting a few bucks back on leftover inventory from a failed business partnership. To me, LQMT is actually touting the fact that the MA relationship went down the toilet by having that knife on our homepage.
This is a picture from the Engel website:
www.engelglobal.com/en/uk/solutions/technologies/optimelt.html
As you can see, it belongs to a Mercedes S-Class. Models go for between $95-225K. If Engel sells MB on some high performance LQMT doohicky, I think a MB/LQMT PR would be Otis’ wet dream.
No doubt Engel is a major supplier for the German brands like BMW, MB, Audi, etc. Associating our name with one or (eventually) all of those brands will do wonders for our stock. No more knives and guitars. Yet, we’re still stuck in Smallville with our website and image. Primetime or small time, which one are we? I think somewhere in the middle at the moment. I will actually be satisfied if we just don’t muck up the Conextions relationship. I’m disappointed just like you, but I also try to look for a reason to support my decision to invest here. If I couldn’t do that, then why would I or anyone else risk their money in the stock?
For instance, I still believe that Apple is pushing forward with BMGs for a number of reasons. Here are two of their most recent patent publications, they are geared towards vapor deposition of BMG onto a substrate, with subsequent electron beam or selective laser melting of the BMG to produce selective areas of crystalline / amorphous BMG.
METHODS FOR CONSTRUCTING PARTS WITH IMPROVED PROPERTIES USING METALLIC GLASS ALLOYS (APPLE)
www.freepatentsonline.com/y2015/0299825.html
METHODS FOR CONSTRUCTING PARTS USING METALLIC GLASS ALLOYS, AND METALLIC GLASS ALLOY MATERIALS FOR USE THEREWITH (APPLE)
www.freepatentsonline.com/y2015/0299825.htm
If you read through the patents you will see that the materials listed are all commonly used for the production of printed circuit boards (PCB). And if you go back in time and read some old Apple BMG patents:
TOUCH INTERFACE USING PATTERNED BULK AMORPHOUS ALLOY
www.google.com/patents/US20140009215
SELECTIVE CRYSTALLIZATION OF BULK AMORPHOUS ALLOY
www.google.com/patents/US20140007989
you will understand the significance of creating a PCB or tablet touch screen with selectively crystallized / amorphous patterns. I’ll even skip to the chase and quote some text from the last two patents. In Apple’s own words:
“greatly reduce the size”
“new applications not before possible”
“very low power”
“virtually maintenance free”
“uses existing printed circuit board traces”
“even further lower its cost”
“can be part of an already existing circuit board”
“special menu accesses”
IMO, that is significant. If Apple believes in the benefits of BMG usage to that extent, then it seems clear to me why they are still pushing forward. Now, before everyone jumps in to say that we won’t get a dime from Apple, I will say “so what?” It will still boost our stock and then it is up to you to choose an exit point and profit level.
Why don’t we talk about the 24+ Johnson / Glassimetals patents assigned to Apple so far?
Or we could talk about the poaching of Yurko by Apple and his two BMG patents since?
Or we could talk about the recent BMG coated mold patent from Weber that is tailored for Platinum based BMGs? And is it significant that Johnson / Schroers are about the only ones with a Platinum BMG patent? Or that Platinum goes for 3 times the price of a gold watch? Or that Johnson’s Platinum patent is also Nickel-free so that it won’t create any allergies for the wearer? Or that his patent is prescribed for use as a jewelry application?
How about a recent Zwilling / J. A. Henckels patent to use LiquidMetal for small personal care products? Could that not be a test bed that could lead to our use in their global knife production?
There is a ton of promising information available regarding our investment, but I think people would rather just get on here to bitch and complain because its easier than doing any real DD. But I will wager that we’ll be back to the predictable Steipp-bashing before the weekend is over.
Good luck to all, I’m out of here.
Cheers,
Keith
Great idea! I'm sure Abdi hasn't thought/cared about making money with LQMT yet. He is probably just waiting for an iHubber to send him a strongly worded email with your expectations. Really looking forward to finally getting some revenue after Abdi gets the message. Wish this had been done much sooner.
Brilliant! Just brilliant!
Due by March 31st I believe. Usually happens about a week or so before the deadline.
Best wishes
Don't believe any of it. Everyone at LQMT is inept and the company and stock are doomed. I even read on this board today that the stock will go sub-.01 soon. Get out while you can! (TIC of course)
